Margaret of Vanderbilt PA (11/05/08) Installed windows 6 in home did an extremely poor job. not trimmed around outside. sloppy job. covered up with rotten wood. Windows are extremely poor quality have a glue film in between that is smeared. appears smeared between windows. look horrible. Locks do not work right. Windows not lined up. called multiple times with no results. hard to get hold of anybody who will listen. After much complaining and multiple calls to the main office did send out crew to clean up the outside aluminum to make them look better. The windows are cheaply made.Are not the ones they showed me in the store also quoted price and ended up paying more than quoted. so frustrated don't know what to do.
paid 2500 hundred dollars for windows. like to have windows taken out by home depot and get reinstalled by reputable company. i do want attorney to call if possible Margaret of Vanderbilt, PA November 5, 2008

Leo of Billings MT (10/28/08) I went to purchase 4 shutters, they didn't have them in stock but said that they would order them and it would be better to have them delivered to my home. I received the 4 shutters but never opened them as my circumstances were changing and I am trying to get a condo, as I am a widow now and do not have need for the shutters so I took them back expecting to get a refund as I don't have a need for anything at home depot. She was very hesitant in even considering taking them back. The packing slip had not been removed from the boxes.
I paid 117.92 for the shutters. After much pleading she took them back. She only would give me credit in a card of 100.34 and would not give me back or credit for 17.58. I don't have any idea who got the cash because I certainly did not, These were to be a Christmas present for me from my daughter so guess what? I do not have a Christmas present. I ask to see a manager and he said the same thing as the woman.
I am sure they were gloating as a 73 woman left crying. I do not have need of home depot but my did like the products before as they do a lot of building etc. but if this is not resolved, all their business will go to local businesses or Lowes if they have to. I would like my money returned in the amount of 117.92 and not in a store credit card. Tina of Bothell, WA September 28, 2008
Tina of Bothell WA (09/28/08) Home Depot, We ordered 13 windows and 2 sliders 4 months ago and still do not have the job completed. In the four months I received only one call back. Each time there was a delay I was told the person handling my account was fired. First it was John Fladgard and then it was Zach. I am working with Rita, but have not heard from her or her staff. 5/31/08 purchased windows from Gary. 7/11/08 Installers came to my house unannounced at 8:00 to install the sliders. At nine that day Home Depot contacted me letting me know someone was coming to install both the windows and sliders.
7/14/08 I called Home Depot about the windows and was told they had not been ordered yet because one of the bathroom windows did not have the frost and I needed to sign an addendum. 7/16/08 John came to my house because I could not lock my slider and had me sign the addendum. I called Home Depot and they scheduled an installation on 8/15 & 16/08 No one showed up. 8/15/08 called Home Dept and they gave me another arrival date of 8/19/08 and we scheduled an installation on 8/22/08.
8/22/08 I called Home Depot again and they said they still had not arrived and they would arrive on 8/26/08. During this conversation with Zach he told me they would install on a Saturday and I would get a compensation for all the delays. We arranged a fourth installation date 9/13/08. 9/11/08 I called to confirm that someone would be installing on 9/13/08 and did not receive a return call.
913/07 M and M window installers came to my house. They installed half the windows, but said they were all the wrong size and they wanted to order new windows that fit. 9/15/08 I was told that regional manager would be coming to my house with the installers to see about what could be done to fix the problems.
I have not heard back from Home Depot. It has been two weeks. I have half of my windows installed, some I cant even close or lock. I have called and left two messages pleading for a response. I cannot believe this is how Home Depot wants to run their business.
Please get my windows in and working correctly before the rains start. That is what I have been promised by Home Depot Janis of Lake Tapps, WA July 24, 2008
Janis of Lake Tapps WA (07/24/08) I ordered 36,000 worth of windows and french doors from Home Depot at home services. The windows and doors are great. However, their customer service, quality of installations and follow through are horrible. It's been over a year and not everything is correct yet. Don't buy from Home Depot!
