We have owned the lawnmower for almost 4 years. We paid right at 2,000.00 for the mower. We took it to the shop for repair and was told the motor wasn't any good. It would cost about 1,200.00 to repair it. The warranty has been expired just over a year. The mower should last more than 3+ years. Is there anything I can do???

My mother and I purchased a new viking Husgvarna 1100 in the early ninties, Shortly there after he went out of business, the machine was very expensive but was a nice machine and has been used very little but it appears as if the main power supply has gone bad, this machine was to have a twenty yr warranity on certain things and life time on others. Who can a person get in touch with?

I went to one sewing center and since I did not purchase the machine from them they ignored the warranity, they would not even consider looking at the machine for 100 up. This does not seem fair to me. What do you do when a person goes out of business? Who can you contact that would be honest with a person about a machine and fix it?

I bought my Husqvarna Self-Propelled mower from Mills Fleet Farm near Osseo Minnesota. Used it only one and the self propell went out. Took it back to a Husqvarna dealer and it was fixed again. Used it and once again the self propell went out. I have a very cheap MTD mower I got at Menards and it works perfect every single time. I have had noting but problems with the Husqarna since I got it.

I purchased a Husqvarna Rose sewing machine for 1,200, plus another 500 in attachments. From the beginning, the machine would delay sewing when I pressed the foot pedal and then suddenly start sewing rapidly. This isn't practical for detail sewing of any kind as it restricts the ability to control the detail and pace of the machine. I have taken it in for repair of this same problem three times without resolution or any feedback from Husqvarna. I submitted an email to Husqvarna through their corporate website and received no response.

When I submitted the machine for repair of this problem the third time, I included a letter with the machine explaining the problem, the history of the repair attempts, copies of the repair work orders and asked for the machine to be repaired or replaced. Again, I received the machine back with the standard maintenance check list and no reference of the problem being repaired or acknowledgement of the letter I submitted. Each time the machine is sent for repair, Husqvarna has it for three to four weeks.

I also called Husqvarna Customer Service today and asked for assistance with this issue. I was told that I should ship the machine to the factory at my expense and they'd advise me of what they'll charge me to fix it. At this point, I am considering taking this to Small Claims Court for reimbursement of the cost of the machine and attachments.

The cost of this problem for me has been (1) the cost of the machine and parts, (2) my time and (3) gas for taking the machine to Loveland three times to drop it off and pick it up, (4) the loss of the use of the machine while it is in the shop for repair for three to four weeks each time I send it in for repair and (5) the personal stress while trying to resolve this issue.

4 years ago I purchased a Husqvarna yth1848 xp mower to cut approximately 3 acres of grass.(I do about half each weekend) This mower had issues from the start. First, the engine would slow when going up a hill and with the blades engaged. This was fixed under warranty and the kawasaki engine has been fine since.

However, I can't say the same thing about the blade platform. This has caused the mower to be in the shop every summer at least once every year resulting in bills more than 1000. Bolts fall off to cause the platform to not be held on properly, and the list goes on. This year, the roller fell off and was destroyed. Every year belts need to be replaced. I was thinking that a Husqvarna product as this would be quality, but I've been disappointed. Despite the good engine, I would stay away from this mower.

1000 in bills over the past 4 years.
