My KA wall/micro combo unit has had several problems since installation 2.2021. I'm a custom homebuilder & this was my last project my personal retirement home. Within 12 mos of install the blower fan, high temp control & control board needed to be replaced. The oven takes forever to reach temp set point then takes forever to cool down, this is not an Energy Star unit. The microwave runs continuously after the cycle time completes so you have to hit cancel for it to stop.

High end double oven w micro on top have had for 3 years used only occasionally. Control board failed causing no usage to the lower oven. This resulted in a $400 charge for repair. I consider this to not be acceptable in a expensive KitchenAid product.

This oven is a complete LEMON!!! Do not buy it! We paid over $4000 for it, replaced it after 30 days as it would not hold temperature. Less than one year later it kept shutting off saying over temp - repair came out and replaced all the electronic boards and circuits. Now, less than 6 months later it is shutting down again with another F6E1 code. We are ready to rip it out of the wall and replace it with a GE!!

Updated on 03/11/2026: My initial KitchenAid Combo Wall Oven was delivered Nov 27, 2025. That oven had a multitude of issues which could not be readily fixed. KitchenAid sent out a replacement the end of January...I didn't even allow it to be received because of serious oven door misalignment issues. I just received my third oven as a replacement for the initial oven delivered 11/27/25. Again, there were door misalignment issues, but more disturbing is the fact that the microwave unit doesn't work properly. It took 120 seconds on full power to defrost a single slice of frozen bread. I attempted to rewarm a piece of meatloaf the other night. I gave up after waiting over 6 minutes and the meatloaf was barely even warm. The expression is that three times is a charm...So is not the case with my KitchenAid Combo Wall Oven. My recommendation. Don't buy one.

I bought this double oven 15 months ago. My first issue with this was the inability it has to preheat in less than 20 minutes to 30 minutes. The panel shows one temperature and the inside shows lowering temperature. So I called the support service from KitchenAid, they came and checked it and it said it was working the way it is supposed to, and did nothing to fix it. But my biggest disappointment was when I runned a self cleaning. The oven stop working. I was told that it was a burned out fan. After spending $450 to get it fix I learned that this oven is not equipped with proper heat releasing system. I was advised to not use the self cleaning function nor the air fryer in order to avoid having the fan burn down again. This is false advertising and really, really bad. I am stuck with it. Stay away from it!!!

I purchased Kitchen Aid double ovens just last February of 2025. Now it is Jan of 2026. I had a spill in my oven from a roast I was cooking. That evening, I utilized the self-cleaning mechanism on my ovens that are still under warranty. The next morning, I found that the top oven floor had a large white stain mimicking the area where my juice from the meat had spilled over. Whirlpool came out and said they would not do anything about either helping to remove the stain or replace my ovens because the stain is purely cosmetic. Beware of Kitchen Aid/Whirlpool.

Had the Kitchenaid wall oven/microwave combo unit for less than a year and the fan in the oven makes this obnoxious squeaking noise when heating up. Yes, I can get it replaced but cost of repair is almost half the cost of the unit. Will not buy kitchenaid appliance again.

Buyer BEWARE. After owning a new KitchenAid oven for 8 months began having issues. The warranty repair began repairs and replaced wires, main boards and front panels 3 times. On the 3rd time and 4 months without my new oven it still is not working and they won’t replace the oven even though the techs say it can’t be fixed. A complete joke of a company.

Kitchenaid 30" double wall oven, model KODE500ESS. This double oven has looked nice and functioned well... until it didn't. 2 years after purchase and professional installation, we got an error code F8E0. This relates to the cooling fan. We had the installer/servicer out to take a look. A nearby customer JUST had the same code on the same oven. They replaced the blower and sensor assembly with no luck. They did some other second repair with no luck. They tried to talk to Kitchenaid about it but didn't get any helpful information. Now, they are offering to come and replace the blower/sensor assembly at a cost of $500 and aren't sure if it will fix the issue.

Do not buy KitchenAid products. You pay almost $3,500 for the double wall oven and they warranty it only for 1 year. Are you kidding me. Their product is garbage and no wonder they struggle as the company since their quality, insurance and reliability are non-existent.

We have Kitchenaid appliances in multiple homes. Just bought a brand new home with a kitchenaid wall oven and combo. Appliance company came out while the builder still owned the home and replaced the hinges and troubleshot the door with kitchen aids "master technicians". No one sent in photos of the bowed door to kitchenaid. The only platform I can send a photo to kitchenaid is through facebook messenger. They now want the same company to come out again and look at the appliance. The photo is not a fabrication of what is really happening. The door is bowed out from the unit. It's an absolute carousel. Sending in photos of the damaged door isn't proof enough and yet the appliance company didn't send in photos or make mention of the bowed door with Kitchen Aids "master technicians". Not the company it used to be. We won't be using Kitchen Aid anything in the future as this has wasted days of our time with no resolve.

I purchased my second KitchenAid oven in 2024. I had a KitchenAid double wall oven with microwave and convection oven for over 20 years. It still worked, although I could never use the self cleaning feature because it would burn out the heating element. This oven simply won’t bake. I have tried to bake apple pies multiple times in different pie plates, and the internal temperature doesn’t get high enough. It won’t bake the apples, the juices or watery, because the temperature never gets high enough. At the holidays, I tried to bake a pumpkin pie that should’ve baked in an hour, but it took two hours to get it to set. Same thing with a cheesecake that I tried to bake. It should’ve baked an hour or so, and it was still soup. I purchased an extended warranty. I’m definitely going to call the store for repairs.

My smart KitchenAid oven is only 4 years old and we’ve had issues with control panel for 3 years. They refuse to take care of it. The service center they use even told me that they see it all the time.

I have had my Kitchen Aid wall oven for about seven years. In about year five or so, the oven would show errors when cooking (like, Keyboard Key Stuck, F2E1 or F2E3, Sensor?). The fixes suggested on YouTube work but are only temporary for an hour or so. Finally, on Easter Sunday 2025 The F2E1 sensor came on and there was no way to fix the problem. I think that my oven can't handle prolonged low temperatures (slow cooking a ham) or high temps for homemade pizza (500 degrees). Needless to say, Easter Sunday ham was cold.

Just had to purchase 2 more knobs from KitchenAid parts (total of 4 now). The metal cuts your fingers badly. This has happened numerous times. When I called to order them the gentleman stated this is not the first time he has heard of this.

Our KitchenAid Double Wall Oven started throwing an F1E1 error. The oven was only 18 months old but off warranty. Oven was part of a new built home and wasn't notified of extended warranty or service options plans. Oven only came with 1 year warranty which is ridiculous on a major appliance. Control board is going to cost us almost half the price of a new oven! DO NOT BUY KITCHENAID.

We purchased a set of KitchenAid appliances (double-wall oven, microwave-died after 2 years, refrigerator, dishwasher, stovetop) for our new home and have had issues with the double-wall oven after a year sending error 1 and 2 code messages. I learned to just stop cooking in the top oven because any tiny amount of steam shuts the oven down and throws the code. What a waste of money for something that can't be used.

Our KitchenAid wall oven, seemed to preform perfectly initially. We have been in our new build for the last 18 months. During holiday baking, realized that it doesn’t maintain required temperature. Adjustment does not maintain requested temperature. Currently have to raise temperature by 50 degrees to get needed temperature. Very disappointing!

We built a new home in 2018 and purchased all kitchen aid appliances. Within 4 years the wall oven quit working. We replaced the control panel which was expensive, could have almost bought a new lower end oven. Within 6 months it quit working again and no warranty past 90 days. The control panel on the fridge also stopped working at 5 years. This operates the ice maker and other features and half the lighting doesn’t work. I would never buy these appliances again.

Remodeled our kitchen 6 years ago. First time we bought KitchenAid for fridge, ovens, range, vent hood and dishwasher. The double ovens have burned out 3 times. Last night being the 3d in the middle of a holiday family party. We were told after the second burnout that the oven boards overheat when cleaning. We then started cleaning them by hand! Not what we purchased! Yesterday was the first time since the 2d burnout that we used both overs for the party. That resulted in the 3d burnout. What are double ovens for, rotation? Disappointing, inconvenient and expensive.
