Our 16 month old Lennox heat pump CBX32M-036 needed TXV Valve. Was told by repair people that they had numerous problems with that part (was back ordered and they had trouble keeping it in stock). Although part was covered under warranty, the labor and freon were not and it cost 250 to get it repaired. If this is a faulty part, shouldn't the entire bill be covered? Do you have any suggestions how I can find out what the failure rate is and who I should follow up with? Thanks for any help you can supply.

Lennox Model # HPXB15-036-230-03 installed July 22, 2005. Had refrigerant leak on distributer tube behind the flow drier in outdoor heat pump unit. This tube was obviously place there during manufacturing. Of course I was told that the warranty wouldn't cover this problem. I feel this problem is due to a manufacturers defect and Lennox should stand behind it. Spoke with the consumer affairs department today and they said just pay the service bill and that they weren't responsible. I would never install another Lennox system or recommend that company to anyone.
This unit has been properly maintained twice a year since installed. In fact the last maintenance was just 3 weeks ago and the tech didn't pick up on the problem. I spoke with Lycoming Heating Co. today about such a large repair bill and they said there was nothing that could be cone. ( Your responsible, your just going to have to pay it ) The repair totaled 686.25 I feel Lennox should be responble for something on such a new unit needing costly repairs.

I had a DuCane Heat Pump Installed in 2/2002, and have had several problems ever since it was installed. 2002 - serviced 3 times. 2003 - serviced 4 times. 2004 - serviced 2 times. 2005 - serviced 2 times (2 a-coils and a distributor). 2006 & 2007 serviced several times. 2008 - serviced 4 times this year (most recently 2 times in the past week)
Allied Air has been aware of the problems since day one, and I have even gone so far as to have my techician on the phone with Jody Smith (Allied Air Tech) most of yesterday afternoon. Heat Pump: Ducane 4 ton Package Unit Model# SH12A48 I have several bills Allied Air stated they would honor, and now stated that they are refusing any further assistance.
Since I have contacted the company well within the Warranty period, they should honor their word. But, so far they have not and they have only requested my technician come out yet again, a fact of which it again cost me more money, and Allied Air is still putting me off and ignoring my requests. As of 6pm last night, listed on a form faxed to Allied Air, my service technician stated on the form Unit is continuously blowing transformers & is currently NON-OPERATIONAL at this time.
This week has been my vacation week and it has been the most miserable time I have ever spent. Today the temperature outside is 99 and still I have no air. What I would like Allied Air is to be true to their word, reimburse me the money I spent attempting to repair my unit because right now I feel I just flushed that money. I would like to come to a mutual agreement with Allied Air, one that would be agreeable to both of us, but for some reason I do not see that happening. I need someone else to step in and attempt to help me.

Had Lennox XP 15 heat pump installed Jan 2007 and 11 months later the nightmare continues with many many service calls mounting up to 55 hours of labor and no AC and now no heat. Enough is enough!
Electric bills have doubled and no one feels they owe us compensation for this or lost work time as we have sat home with repairmen in our home day after day. We come home very day and wonder if the heat will evan be on and the other night it was 51 degrees in our house with outside temperatures dipping below freezing. The installer has written in response to our complaint that we have responded hysterically to a fairly typical set of circumstances. Please help us.

We installed a Lennox Complete Heat (water heater/furnance)unit, Model HM30, in 1998 when we built a new home. While I liked the technical concept, the unit failed soon after installation and continues to have problems with flame failures. Combustion chamber was replaced twice. Just spendt 325 replacing an ignitor. Repairman informs me of other problems that should be fixed to the tune of 445.
Consequencies include financial drain for chronic repairs and the stress associated with dealing with loosing heat during a Minnesota winter. I've been fortunate to avoid freezing pipes and associated damages with use of a gas fireplace, electric space heaters, and my growing competencies in diagnosing the problem and making temporary fixes to restore heat. From correspondence on the internet, my experiences are not unique to other Lennox Complete Heat owners. Sure would like to find out if there has been a class-action suit filed against Lennox and this product.
