I have purchased an LG range and had aluminum foil melt to the bottom of it. I have lined my ovens all my life and never seen this before.

The aluminum actually fused to the bottom of the oven.

Jean of St. Augustine, FL January 22, 2009

Jean of St. Augustine FL (01/22/09)
Purchased LG stove, fridge, dishwasher in March, 07. In July 07, the oven light burned out in stove. LG customer service informed me that the instructions for changing the light bulb were in the manual!! Called back and got service, done, under warranty.

Around Dec. 07, the front burner began to act strangely, sometimes it would work, then not at all. Called customer service, repair came out and determined unit required a special order part. In Feb. 08, an entire panel control was installed. LG's response to my concern about this stove was to extend my warranty by three months. Yesterday, I turned my oven on and could not turn it off. In order to turn off the stove, I have to pull the oven away from the wall and unplug it!! Here we go again, I will never buy an LG product again and have warned our friends not to either.

An oven that is so utterly undependable that I am furious. This range was almost 1000, and now I have to deal with LG's customer service once again and expect no result as the unit is no longer under warranty. I am extremely disappointed.

Holly of Mount Olive, AL January 2, 2009

Holly of Mount Olive AL (01/02/09)
I purchased an LG range on 1/25/08 and on 12/24/08 I had the range on 300 cooking a ham in a cooking bag. I checked on it in about an hour and a half and the ham was burnt and the oven was smoking. The heat inside the range was much more than 300 degrees. The next day I had it on 350 cooking a casserole what was supposed to be for 30 to 45 minutes. I smelled smoke after 15 minutes and looked inside and the casserole was completely burnt.

The temperature, again, was much higher than it should have been. Seemed like it may be on cleaning cycle heat. I called LG and I have a repairman comping today (1/2/09)to look at it. Even if it is fixed today, I will never be able to trust the range again.

I'm not able to cook in the oven and my family is having to eat out (expensive) and I have ruined several dishes. I could have burnt down my house had I not been here, and now I will never be able to trust this range again, even if the problem is repaird. I'd rather have my money back so I can get another stove.

Peggy of Phoenix, AZ December 30, 2008

Peggy of Phoenix AZ (12/30/08)
I purchased a LG electric range model number LRE30451SB in 2007 from Home Depot. I had nothing but trouble with it from day one. The top had a hairline crack. It had to be replaced. The oven never kept the correct temperature. It had to be fixed so many times that LG replaced the range. It was replaced with a 2008 model number LRE30453SB supposedly because they did not have the one that I had purchesed.

There was a catch. NO WARRENTY! So now I have another range that the oven is doing the same thing that my first one did. I would like to have some of my money back. But all LG will give me is the phone number of a repair person so I can pay to get it fixed. My advice DO NOT BUY LG products.

Greg of Willoughby, OH December 16, 2008

Greg of Willoughby OH (12/16/08)
My stove is my 3rd LG appliance that has gone bad in 2 years of purchasing it. They sent the wrong part out it was sent back and they returned exactly the same wrong part back

We now dont have a stove as the holidays approach and we are having people due at our house. I want a new stove delivered before the holdiays if they cant get it right.
