I purchase an LG front load washer and dryer, three years ago. Shortly after purchase the washer began to smell of mildew. The rubber seal around the door opening is collecting water which in turn is causing mildew. With each loan I am drying the water that collects in the rubber seal, but to no avail, I still get mildew. This is obviously a design flaw.

In additon to the mildew problem, I'm having a problem with the spin cycle. Intermitely the spin cycle will wither not run, or will not spin the clothes dry enough. I have to custom cycle an additional spin cycle. The dryer has been a big dissapointment to me as well. I can use the normal, more dry, cycle to get my clothes some what dry. Never completely dry, always a little damp.

The mildew is a health hazard. It's impossible to rid your clothes of this awful smell, I have had to dispose of some clothing because I could not remove the odor. It's an economical issue too. Takes nearly an hour for the wash cycle and an hour for the dry cycle.l

I purchased a matched set of the LG front-loading washer and dryer at Best Buy nearly 4 years ago when they first came out. I was enamored with the high efficiency wash and dry cycles. Unfortunately, I like many on this blog have experienced the mildew, mold, and foul odors coming out of the washer. I have tried all the remedies outlined by LG to no avail. It is counter-productive to be constantly rinsing out the washer and wasting precious water, especially when it does not work. Now, I keep the door open and wipe out after use. This is ridiculous and I expect better of LG.

Foul odor from the washer is constant and the laundry room needs to be ventilated. Rubber gasket needs to be wiped clean after each use as well as keeping the door open. Clothes smell of mildew and are not sanitary. This washer is a lemon!

I purchased the WM2487HWM LG Tromm washing machine. Like numerous folks on this website, we have the mold buildup and FOUL odor that is being emitted by this washing machine. We payed 700 for the unit, thinking it would save us time and money over the long haul. Since we cannot get rid of the odor, we will probably have to buy a new machine. NOT A LG!

We do not have extra to fork out when we spent so much already for this unit. LG needs to stand behind their products. Customers are the reason they survive. The customers will dry up for LG if they get sued. Extra being spent on water and electric bill every time we wash. Plus our house smells  [bad].
