On April 23, 1999, my husband and I purchased a major appliance from Montgomery Ward -- a side-by-side refrigerator with filtered icemaker, icecrusher and water dispenser. The problem we have been having is that the icemaker hardly produces ice. On a daily basis it gives out 3 cups of ice. I have complained to A&amo;E Signature Services at least 12 times. Their service technicans have been out to replace the icemaker at least 12 times.
I contacted the Better Business Bureau and Office of the Attorney General Consumer Information and Complaints. Finally, A&E responded by admiting there is a problem with the icemakers. They ordered a small gadget to try to force the cold air vent to go to the Icemaker. The technican that came out to insert the gadget laughed. He knew it wouldn't solve the problem.
We have warranty and a contract for services. Neither Montgomery Ward nor A&E ever called us to find out if the gadget worked. Well it didn't, of course.
