I purchased a Troybuilt cultivator 3 years ago. Since then the company was purchased by MTD, and the same model is still available. My unit has less than ten hours on it and now requires $130 in parts alone. MTD customer service has been arrogant, insulting and downright rude when I have corresponded with them in an unsuccessful attempt to determine if individual parts are available rather than assemblies (a $3.00 bushing only comes as part of a $30.00 assembly) and if any improvements have been made to the machine since they purchased the company and refuse to accept any responsibility for the former owner's products.

In response to my first query about the product was a line, "For a complete explanation you would likely need to enroll in a course on inventory management at a business college." These customer service reps are rude and demeaning and after several attempts ultimatley refused to answer questions as to changed manufacturing processes to improve (or degrade) their products.
