Troy-Bilt

Russ of Kirkwood MO (02/16/06)
I purchased a new 21" Troy-Bilt push mower in the spring of 2005. After using it for 3/4 of a year I was totally disgusted with several aspects of the mower. I wrote to MTD's customer services department, not as a complaint, but rather as a consumer report to help them improve their product by listing all the things I felt were wrong with the mower, especally the fact that the mower blew leaves out of the way instead of sucking them under the cutting deck to be mulched.

The response I received was horrible. The customer services group basically blew me off. And, had the nerve to say that the mower was for cutting grass not leaves. Well, they don't know it, but anyone in the U.S. who has a mower and leaves on their property will go over the leaves with the mower. I'm sure the information in my letter never made it to the corporate office.

Robert of Harveysburg OH (01/05/06)
I bought a "New 23HP Z-Force 50" mower from TSC in Springboro,OH. They could not find the operators & service and parts list manuals. They said that they would order them for me. Well, what I received was botched copies of the manuals; the pages are upside-dowm,backwards,and out of order. Very poor quality manuals for the type of product they cover and represent, "Cub Cadet"

I bought a new mower 3 1/2 years ago and it's junk.  MTD pffered a mew ,pwer fpr 30% less than the new price.  that's nice but MTD should replace it completely free.
