Pur Water Filters

corbet of Snoqualmie, WA September 27, 2009

This is our 4th Pur water filter. It is broken at the tap. We have returned 3 to Costco and will be returning this one too. Pur needs to correct the defect. Pur water filters are very expensive and should be made with stronger materials.

Joseph of Bethlehem, PA September 23, 2009

First of all I did try to email pur, but their website would not allow me because of needing product codes, etc. which i no longer have. The indicator space has sprung a leak. I have the faucet type for about three months. All I wanted to know from pur was "can this be fixed or does the unit need to be replaced. At this moment my concern is that with this leak is the system working correctly/as it should be and my counter and floor get wet each time I use it. As with most peoples concern, is the money factor of replacing.

Tonyia of milton, FL September 17, 2009

I have used these filters since day one and in the past few years the quality has really gone down. I have had to replace my unit on the average of every 5 to 6 months. I thought at first it was me but after reading the posts here, I am certain it is faulty equipment. I tried to complain on their website but like others, I couldn't.

I would like to get my money back but I don't have my box or receipt. If I could get a replacement to use the extra inserts I have, I would be satisfied and would never buy their PUR products again.

Michelle of Huntsville, AL September 15, 2009

After only having this product for 2 months it cracked all of sudden on its own and sprays water everywhere! I just hate I spent so much money on a product I see faulted on so many people! It claims to save people money but no, I don't think so. I might as well had kept on buying the spring water bottles like I intended to.

PHYLLIS of PAXTON, IL September 15, 2009

Sorry, but this is my 4th complaint regarding the filter housing for your pur faucet system....You did respond with a certificate but I still need to know if there is there anything else that can be used with this system that does not crack? I am a widowed lady living alone and the product certainly does not get mis treated.....I would appreciate any information you may furnish. I have bought the filter housing units at different locations to see if that would make a difference..It did Not... Thank you

P.S. I have several inserts on hand so I really need this housing unit so I can use them up.

Deborah of Columbus, MS September 14, 2009

This is my second Pur Water Filter purchase. The first one sprung a leak in the housing after having it for a few months. I purchased another and after only a few month another leak has sprung at the base of the filter. The website does not offer and consumer complaints, as a matter of fact, the only thing one can do on the website is order. Who wants purchase another one? I want my money back. At this point, I would even accept a replacement.

Jimmy of Lebanon, TN September 11, 2009

My faucett type water filter worked great until the warranty ran out. It sprays water everywhere from where it attatches to the faucett. I've replaced the washer and it still sprays. When I tighten the attatchment, the adaptor comes loose. I feel that considering the price of around fifty dollars, it should last more than a year. It may have damaged my pfister-price faucett in my kitchen, in all fairness, I am not a plumber.

E.E. of cULLMAN, AL September 5, 2009

my filter for the sink just sprayed water all over my newly baked items on the counter as well as ME! I have never had a filter go apart like that! I was so frustrated I could have screamed! What happened to companies quality control systems? Pur should send back a refund or better yet a replacement with a guarantee!

Elizabeth of Eldorado, IL September 4, 2009

Like many others I've read about, after 2 months of purchasing the faucet mounted water purifier the housing develops a crack and starts to leak. Then it gradually just falls apart.

Autumn of Danville, IL September 4, 2009

I bought a Pur water filter faucet attachement. It now leaks and the pieces that attach to the faucet are popping apart. I have gone to their websited but all you can do is order things on it. There is no contact info or anything. I should have gone with Brita I guess.
