I had a Rival iron that caught on fire.  The plug shorted and sparks went flying!

My rug was damaged with burn marks and my bedspread almost caught on fire.

Rival crock pot burned a hole thru my cutting board. Sent it back just like it told me to do and havent heard anything in over a month.

My Rival programmable crock pot generated so much heat, it cracked out the seam in my solid surface countertop. The counter top people came and repaired it, stating it must have been faulty glue (counter top less than a year old). A few days later, I used my crock pot again in the same spot and it cracked open again. When I picked up the pot to look at the crack, it was so hot it burned my fingers. It was only on low. Counter top people back to repair and stated they have never heard of anything that had ever caused that before. I've had no other problems with any of the other seams. I still have the crock pot, I believe there's a malfunction with the thermosat due to the intense heat it appears to be putting out.

Two repairs to my brand new countertop in the same place. The install people were nice to repair since it was new and we weren't sure at first what caused it. They have told me they will no longer warranty that specific area or repair it again and there's no way of knowing if it will hold up for any length of time. I spent almost 6000 on it. If it has to be reapaired again, the entire countertop will have to be removed and a whole section replaced, unknown what the cost would be, not counting my time off work and being without a useable kitchen for a week or so. If I can't match the color, I'll have to replace everything.

Ice cream freezer model #8704. The 2nd time i used it the plastic gear that turns the freezer on the inside broke. The part to fix it is on back order until the end of august. They take no back orders so I must call back at the end of August. No charge for part. I must pay 6.00 for shipping.Oonly paid 20.00 for freezer. no big deal just a pain in the butt.

After my second e-mail to follow up on my replacement crock pot, I had a new crock pot on my door in 5 days, faster than the 7-10 days the company promised. It has a small dent, but I'll live with it.
