In July of '08, I paid 230.00 for my nephew Alex to obtain a guard card through this agency. Along with the card, employment was spoken about and all but guaranteed in writing. Until this day, neither part of this agreement has been met. Alex has yet to receive a guard card. He has been told that the security depart of consumer affairs has yet to receive the needed paperwork from Mr. J. Woods of the Security Network. Alex completed his portion of the agreement, which included a live scan.

Alex and I both have phoned Mr. Wood several times with negative results. Previously we were able to leave a message on his answering machine, however recently the line just rings. We are looking for either the issusance of the guard card as paid for and promised or a total refund of the 230.00 paid. We would prefer the refund, which will give us an opportunity to take our business elsewhere. In today's economy 230.00 is not easy to come by.

A lost of 230.00, time, gas and hope of employment through a agency that advertised guaranteed employment.

In the beginning this company was APXLARM SECURITY the system went dead 7 months after I had it. When they came in to replace the battery, I noticed they changed the signs outside my house to Security Networks. In February 2008 Security Networks came in to switch/upgrade to digital and when they didn't get a signal the technician told me to get a Land Line.

4/28/08 I had a Technician come to my house because my Alarm is a Analog Cellular Communicator System. My Alarm Pad was flashing FC. I called Security Networks and they told me it was because my alarm wasn't getting a signal. They scheduled a Technician to come to my house April 28, 2008. When I signed up with Security Networks I signed because I wanted the Cellular Communicator System, since I didn't have a Land Line.

I used to have ADT for about 5 years. The contract expired at 3 years, but I continued with the service. It wasn't until I got DSL that I noticed my Alarm wasn't working anymore. I called ADT and they told me it was because I switched to DSL instead of Land Line connection. And they were sorry to hear I could no longer use the service that they could no longer provide. I had no problems whatsoever with ADT Service. They were prompted when called for any problems-- which were rare within the 5 years I had the service

I have gone in circles with Security Networks. They are trying to get me to incur more expenses to keep my alarm system working. I called verizon to ask about getting a Land Line they told me it would cost me around 25.00 a monthly to provide the service. I already pay 45.00. That will be too costly just to keep the alarm system working. I called earthlink today who I have the DSL with, and they told me they could not energize the jack because it wasn't part of my service. I as the customer should not have to pay so much to keep the alarm service that can no longer be provided.

When I tell them the contract is not being met, they keep telling me they can find ways to make it work and so far nothing has worked. Security Networks said they would lower my price if I get a Land Line even if they lower it to 35.00 a month with the Land Line I will be paying 65.00 for the alarm system. At of April 20, 2008 the alarm system is a dumbie system. I don't want anyone to rob my house, but me having to pay 45.00 for a system that doesn't work I FEEL I AM ALREADY BEING ROBBED.

A Technician came to my house today (4/28/0-8) and ripped out the small signal box. He said he couldnt get a signal yet he took the signal box off my wall, and didn't have us sign any papers. I WANT SECURITY NETWORKS TO DISCONTINUE THE CONTRACT BECAUSE THEY CAN NO LONGER PROVIDE THE SERVICE

I signed a 3-year contract with Tri-State Alarm back in March of 2001. I have kept this service all these years, even though their customer service reps were very rude. The company was taken over by Security Networks sometime in 2005 (never received a letter letting us know of the changes). I called them to cancel my service, and they wouldn't let me. They told me I'm locked in until March of 2010! Apparently the contract I signed does state that if I do not cancel within a 60-day period after my initial 3 years, then the contract automatically renews for another 3 year term, and that keeps going. So I basically have a 60-day period every 3 years to cancel my contract or I'm doomed!

The customer service department really stinks! I've talked to them on various occasions for different things, and they expect me to service my own control panel, rather than send someone out to help me. I would love to cancel my service with this company. Can they really rip me off in this way? Are they so hard-up that they can't let a customer go when they're not happy? What's the deal with that?

We have 2 alarm monitoring contracts (2 different locations) with Security Networks. Our original contracts were signed with Tr-State alarm co (Broomall, PA) but Security Networks recently purchased Tri-State Alarm. The contract in dispute involves our first location which we've purchased a system and monitoring approx 59 months ago. Tri-State didn't advise us that our contract would automatically renew for another 3 years after the original 3 year period. The sales person told us it would convert to a month-to-month basis after the first 3 years.

We just had the system removed from the original location because we moved our home. We were told that although we didn't want a new system in our new home, that we were still locked in for another 13 months of monitoring. I told them that we fulfilled our original 3 year agreeement on that contract and that we owe them nothing else. They then said that Tri-state had locked us into auto-renewal for another 3 years and that we are obligated to pay for the next 13 months. This is deceptive and I would like to know what my rights are. we have had other alarm companies in the past and the standard practice is to continue month-to-month monitoring after the initial 3 years.
