New furnace installed 9/2001. Constant problems, service and repairs yearly, Wrote Trane 11/2007 and got a response 6 weeks later. They asked for repair record information, this was sent to them 1/08. No response. I now must replace this furnace. I feel that I was sold a lemon and this company could have done something to avoid my having to go through the expense of a new furnace when the one I had installed in 2001 should still be working.

The cost of the original furnace was 4,800. Now I am faced with this expense all over again. This is really difficult as I am now retired.

In 5 Years, I have had 2 compressors fail on my Trane Heat Pump,and many service calls and leaks.

As of October 17th, 2007 My Trane Heat Pump with the replacement compressor has again failed (3 years after it was factory installed, and 3 service calls AFTER it was installed.) It will cost at least half of what I paid for it, to have it repaired! I'm forced to use my emergency heat (electric furnace) for the last month. It has caused my power bill to rise DRASTICALLY in the last month. I believe I received a bad Trane heat pump and poor installation. I want it fixed OR REPLACED for FREE!
