I was referred by my doctor to Anaheim Memorial Hospital for exploratory tests. The Hospital is very modern with all the latest equipment. The doctors are excellent. However, the nursing staff, with 2 exceptions, were unbelievably inept and careless. Several times I had to tell them that they were contradicting my primary physician's orders and to recheck my file.

Last at the end of the meal distribution my food was always cold and inedible.

Since I was directly opposite the nurses station and because they spoke in almost a shout due to the general noise, I couldn't avoid hearing their conversation. My name was mentioned. Nurse Jenet ? told nurses how much she hated me and told me several times, personally that she wished I was going home. She made my life as difficult as possible. The final straw came when on going to the vending machine I discovered that all my paper money had been stolen - none of the loose coins were taken nor were my ID or credit.

I was irate and discharged myself from the hospital! Later, at home, I re-arranged the cards in my wallet and was about to throw away what I thought was just a piece of paper was, in fact, a group of postage stamps (of a kind I had never seen before) to cover the cost of the missing money. So, actually, the thief must have had a conscience!

I guess it seems trivial, but not being able to eat or sleep for 3 days after undergoing surgery did not help my condition (my doctor suspects I have cancer of the liver.
