Maronda Homes

Patrick of Davenport FL (12/10/08)
I had an Independent contractor take a look at the situation as I strongly believed that I described my problem incorrectly. The issue at had is structural, which I believe I am still under warranty as the closing date was 07/2004. All of the wood at the bottom of the Jams are rotten, both sides of the Side Lights are completely rotten and the Jams have severe water damage. This water damage is so extensive that it has reached to the Dry Wall and the base boards are also rotten.

According to the Contractor it appears that the Pressure Treated Buck strips that are supposed to be between the door jam and the wall per building codes are not present. All of the Finger Joints are showing, exposed and separating. Whenever the rain falls my foyer area and laundry area of my Sunbury Model Home is flooded. This matter has been brought to Maronda's attention in the past and on 2 occasions a Tech. came out and performed minor Caulking which never resolved the issue. I would highly appreciate that someone from Maronda or, if they can direct me to the respective personnel to assist me with this matter. I have little faith with the company, everything in the house worked until the Warranty was up. Since then I have had to replace/fix my A/C unit, Dishwasher and now possibly my Front Door.

i purchased a home from maronda homes back in 2005 i thought it was a great deal but little did i know i was about to have the world of problems. first off i have been having problems w/ my drainfield from day one it never worked right. every three weeks it cost me 275 dollars to have my tank drained. i found out the drainfield is deffective and maronda will not do anything about it the told me to call the contractor who installed it called them they told me to call maronda. its been a viscious circle im going in.the second problem is i have cracks all over the house maronda told me they are not going to fix them. can someone tell me what i can do here. im about to loose my mind

spending alot of money i dont have to drain a tank every 3 weeks also when drainfield backs up all that water comes back into my house and its runing everything in my home.

My daughter build a brand new home last November with Maronda and is still having issues with repairs and warranty items. Her year is about to expire in a week or two and every time she email Maronda about a repair I come to her house and sit for the 3 hour window that they give you. Last week a repairman came after the alloted 3 hour window time and marched in without calling to say he was going to be late like he did nothing wrong.

Today I am sitting for another 3 hr window and decide to call them after sitting an hour. I paged and called Maronda numerous times. After 2 hours Cynthia Parr telephoned me and said the repairman would be here at 3pm.This is now a 6 hour wait. I was not expecting this and needed to pick up my poodle. She was very nasty and giggled every time I asked her a question. I could not get a straight answer out of her and she avoided answering questions about the cracking garage and porch at my daughter's house. She ended up hanging up the phone in my face before telling me she did not have a supervisor. This girl was ignorant to everything I asked her about. I hate that my daughter bought a house from this company. They cheese and grin in your face trying to get you to buy from them, then they treat you like garbage after the sale. Beware!!!!!!!!!!

I have to take time out of my schedule and drop everything I am doing to come and wait until Maronda decides to show up. My daughter is in constant worry that she may be faced with huge repair bills becuase Maronda refuses to look at her foundation cracking up. The constant calling and waiting and worrying is physically exhaulting and sickening, not to mention unfair and unprofessional.

Me and my wife went to Maronda homes looking for a house to buy we found one we really liked. When we applied for the loan we where told bye the loan officer are credit was not the best but she could get us a loan for the home. so we put down 300 earnest money as a deposit than i was going to give the rest later. as i was getting ready to give the rest we found out they could not help us but that was after waiting over 2 months and being told diffrent stories.

I went to get my deposit back and was told 4 to 6 weeks. The sales person fill out the papers wrong so i found out 2 weeks later i needed to fax new papers which i did. At that time i was told it be 6 to 8 weeks for my refund and i was upset. it has now been a total of over 8 weeks since the first papers and when i called to get status now i being told it might be 12 weeks. At this point in time i would never buy or recommened a Maronda home to anyone EVER. all i want is my refund how hard is that?
