Adam of Merrick, NY November 18, 2008

Adam of Merrick NY (11/18/08)
I, Unfortunately, have Allstate as my Automobile insurance. My car was broken into & vandalized in my driveway on 10/11/08. To this day (11/17/08) I still have not received payment. I have had problems from the beginning starting with the adjuster, Not wanting to fix the car in the correct way (Splicing wires to gauges, junk yard parts, etc..) to save Allstate money & from totaling the car.

The file was sent to the SIU within Allstate. After countless calls & 1 month of paying insurance on a car that is not drivable I still have not received a check. Is there anything that can be done? The claim is still open, it was not denied & I am hoping it will not be denied. Today I received my second payment notice for my insurance & I will be sending them the second check, for a car I cannot drive.

this is about the claims ondor settlement in the case of allstate and the higher charges to minority and hispanics. I sent in all the necessary verification of having been insured by allstate within the claims. I haven't, as of yet, to here anything from them since the settlement was made.

Armando of Coconut Creek, FL November 11, 2008

Now it's tuesday 7 days after the accident. by friday the shop requested a supplement, to cover unseen damages, and by now 2 adjusters, (adam and chris) had gone out to inspect the car, chris approved the supplement and along with the shop manager they both agreed 100% on all the necessary repairs. another much smaller check was given to the shop to cover the tow truck charges.

yesterday monday, 13 days after the accident and 7 days after being in the shop, the car was completed and a 3rd adjuster (pat) the apparent supervisor of adam and chris went to the shop to inspect the car, and first picked apart the claim (made by his own adjusters) and then took back the check that had already been issued to the shop. telling the manager of the shop that allstate would re-issue a new check for less money! meanwhile we have been givien the runaround by allstate, every time you call no one has answers and the eprson you need to speak to is in a meeting.

It's absurd that any company would be allowed to conduct business like this. we still don't have our vehicle nor have we received a final verdict, but as it stands, the shop has not gotten paid, we still have a rental, our car is completed, and supposedly adam , chris and pat are going to meet at the shop on tuesday to inspect and finalize the claim and how is allstate held accountable? their own adjusters approved a claim they want to adjust after work is done?

Have a surcharge for a at fault claim but allstate has an ad that says there is no increase for a claim on the tele. How can they say this and still charge for my one claim

extra 75.00 on my insurance bill

Waylon of Wichita, KS November 11, 2008

Waylon of Wichita KS (11/11/08)
My Legally parked car was hit on September 27th by an allstate insured driver. He called the police and admitted fault. I made a claim with allstate on the 28th, and then on the 29th I went to their adjuster. It took until October 20th and numerous calls dealing with rude allstate claims people and long waits on hold for them to finally accept liability.

Apparently with allstate liability does not mean payment will be made. Everytime I call them I get a different day that the check was mailed, yet I have never recieved one. I talked to 2 different managers yesterday who told me 2 different dates that the check was mailed and i was assured I would have it today for sure, which is not the case.

I have turned them into my states insurance commissioner and the better business bureau and I encourage anyone else with a negative experience to do the same so maybe this fraud company can be held accountable. You are in bad hands dealing with allstate I promise.

My car is trashed and remains that way while I fight daily with allstate and their refusal to be honest about their actions on this case and their refusal to pay on something they have accepted liability on.
