Patrice of San Antonio, TX October 28, 2008

Patrice of San Antonio TX (10/28/08)
Aug. 31, 2008, My son was in an car accident with another driver in Houston Texas. Both had allstate insurance. A claim was filed the same day. My car was undrivable and sat for a month before an adjuster came out to take pictures and evaluate it. My car sat BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER Hurricane Ike, for over 30 days. Herbert Manny Roberson, the adjuster on the other policy eventually contacted my son and attempted to intimidate him, asking entrapping questions.

Mr. Roberson also contacted me (later I learned this was unauthorized), tried to intimidate me and threatened to deny the claim w/o all the evidence. 6 weeks into the claim, several Allstate adjusters verbalized to me and the car repair shop that the other party to the accident accepted responsibilty then issued a check to pay for the claim against the other party. Now, 2 weeks later and 60 days into the claim, Mr. Roberson changed the status.

Immediately after I filed a complaint with his supervisor, Mr. Roberson called and cancelled the check to the repair shop, thus breaching the agreement of accepting liabilty and further delaying my car's repairs. I believe Mr. Roberson is acting in an abusive, retalitory and unethical manner. It seems to be a breach of contract by Allstate.

My son has been without use of his vehicle for over 60 days. The vehicle sat for 30 days befor, during and after Hurricane Ike, unsure what additional damages were done. Depreciation of the value of the car (after the accident and weathering a hurricane). Having to pay out of pocket for transportation expenses. Mental and Emotional stress due to delayed claim, loss of transportation, breach of contract and unethical practice of a adjuster.

An elderly lady, insured by allstate hit my car. As it was minor and she promised to have it repaired, I did not call for a police report. She contacted her Allstate for the claim and they denied it because she had no damage and convinced her she must not have caused by damage. In small claims, Allstate provided her with a lawyer. I could only provide proof of the agreement and my damage. I got a judge who thinks car doors open differently when opened from the outside! I have this from the judge in writing.

I have a letter from the elderly lady acknowleging the damage. Allstate manipulated the elderly woman who probably has some degree of dementia. Allstate knew she had agreed to have my vehicle repaired. Someone had asked the witness to testify that there was no damage to my vehicle. I have a deposition prooving this. Five times I requested the initial claim report and was ignored. Allstate has proven to be an unethicle company.

I paid for my vehicle repair, car rental and court costs adding up to 740.00

on july 26,2008 i was hit by a woman who was drunk. she also left the scene, but was observed by at least 5 ppl. she was followed by one of the witnesses and was arrested. she admitted it; her carrier was allstate. she is not the issue. her co is.

they are not covering the costs which are mounting daily. i will not play games with these reprobates. i would like to know if others out there would like to join a class action suit against them.

i can not get the PT needed for my arm. as a result, i may lose the use of it. i am an accountant and need the rt arm & hand as that is how we 'ten-key'.

I cancelled my insurance policies with my agent 4/30/08 of this year. We had 3 policies, house, auto and catastrophy (umbrella policy). My husband and I had taken out new polices with Liberty Mutual (at a lower premium). The only policy that was actually cancelled by the agent was the automobile policy. The house policy was cancelled by me again in July. (it was with my escrow acct) So Allstate was paid for May, June and July until I had the bank stop the payments).

The umbrella policy (aka catastrophy) did not cancel. This is an extra policy that we were able to get. Allstate sent us to collections for 48.50. I sent in a copy of my new policy, which they requested. I still had to pay the collections agency. The handling of our insurance or rather lack of handling of it has been down right humiliating to myself and my husband. Just to let you know we were customers with Allstate for 30 plus years.

Anthony of Keller, TX October 6, 2008

Anthony of Keller TX (10/06/08)
I had an accident with another vehicle on 09/27/08 and have failed to get my car fixed so far. My insurance, Travellers filed a case with Alstate Insurance but failed to get the case resovled after 9 days. There were several excuses given such as the driver of the other vehicle was not available for an interview or the adjuster was very busy. Nor rental car or other options to provide alternative transportation to work was provided by Alstate.

Efforts to contact the Manager were in vain and she seemed to be on the defensive trying to avoid responsibility. I was not cited by the police coz I was not wrong but the one hit from the back.

I missed 7 days of work and as a Management Trainee have lost the opportunity for serious consideration for the company pilot program.
