James of Paris, TX October 5, 2008

My car was parked on the side of a public street when it was hit by a drunk insured Allstate claimit. Allstate's adjuster declared my vehicle of deminished value. (1982) Ford Thunderbird in which National Association Of Automobile Dealers value it at between 3100 and 6000.00.

The Allstate adjuster says that it will not pay the replacement value, then Allstate say my car has 155912 miles when I provided proof of 55912 milage. I have owned the car since (2003) 6years and it had only 44000 miles. When I purchased it as when it was hit it did not even have a door ding. They say that they will only pay 1500.00 and not replacement value or fair market value. I am willing to wait until statue limit and file with the small claims court for at least fair market value because I will have to suffer a accident on my record.

I have had to ride a bicycle after the 30 day car rental provided by the insurance since july 11 2008

Chuck of Pascagoula, MS October 3, 2008

Chuck of Pascagoula MS (10/03/08)
We were rear ended by a young man who has All State Insurance. We had to be towed to a repair shop but at the time I told the police I didn't need an ambulance although my head and neck were hurting. I did wear my seatbelt.

My neck continued to hurt so not knowing the area that well, I asked for some help in seeing a doctor. The emergency room was so full of people who simply had colds, I couldn't sit there. A few days later I was evaluated by a chiropracter and sent for further tests. At no time was I ever called by anyone from All State to check on my condition. I continued to seek treatment from the chiropracter. The MRI showed some damage but at this time I did not want surgery. I needed to get my bills paid but had to retain an attorney to get anything.

The accident happened on February 1st and they have yet to pay any of the bills nor even contact me about my condition. They say they want a recorded statement and have set up several times but never called to do the recording. I have gone out of my way, taken off time from work to do the statement but they still have not called to get my statement. My bills still need to be paid and now I have to pay the attorney. The attorney has sent them several letters and has called them many times.

I live on the Mississippi coast but travel quite often in my job. The agents name is Rick. I have personally called him many times but he has yet to return my calls as well. I have also called All State's main number with no response. It is sad they cannot take care of their customer's accidents and mistakes. They fixed my friend's car but can't take care of me. They make stupid statements like why was he not hurt. How dumb is that. How many times do we see someone walk away from an accident yet other folks in the car was killed. Even though I have retained an attorney, I would like to hear from another attorney just to see what can be done. I really want to see All State punished now since they have drug this out and has not called to settle this mess.

Monica of Huntersville, NC September 12, 2008

Monica of Huntersville NC (09/12/08)
On June 26, 2008 I was hit in the rear by an allstate insurance client. I have had nothing but grief from these people. First they didn't want to pay for my rental car, so my insurance stepped in and now I have unpaid medical bills due to the fact that they sent my settlement to an address that 1) I have never given them 2) Nor was it on the accident report so now someone at this fictious address has cashed the checks. Now it's going to take more weeks to prove.

The damage is the unpaid medical bills that goes to the collection agency and other people involved, like the towing company are still harassing me for the money that they claimed they paid for and didn't.

Kathy of Carlsbad, CA September 12, 2008

Kathy of Carlsbad CA (09/12/08)
On November 11, 2007, I signed up for a six month policy, but was short about a hundred or so dollars. I needed the policy right away so I could register my car, so I agreed to give them my atm card number, and I was to call them when the funds were to be available. A few days later, I had sufficient funds in my account, and told them to complete the transaction, which was a six month policy paid for in full.

On May 23, o8, my policy should have expired. I was in the hospital for a mastectomy, and due to many reasons, I had no intention of driving. I was aware that the policy was going to expire, but it was the least of my worries. I would renew it when I was driving again, which would not be for several months. Without my knowledge, consent or authorization, Allstate renewed my policy, and set up a Recurring Credit Card Pay Plan. I never agreed to this.

I pay for my policies in full so as to avoid potential overdrafts, such as the one that occured as a result of the deductions they made, which were 5 in a 4 month period. The amounts varied between 115.00 and 37.00, those at the high and low ranges. I called the bank to verify that no such card agreement had been signed by me, and they want me to try to get a refund from Allstate before they file a claim. Im going there today to do so. How can they renew a policy and set up something like that? I have been extremely ill and was unaware of this until I viewed it online.

The total of the unauthorized deductions, plus a 25.00 overdraft fee, comes to 339.65. It may not be alot to some people, but I've been unable to work since may due to complications from breast cancer treatments, surgeries etc.
