More about Health Insurance ...

Ronald of Pineville, MO November 27, 2007

Ronald  of Pineville MO (11/27/07)
I was called about health insurance and was told this was health insurance not a discount plan and was told it was a 119.00 a month plus a 119.00 one time enrollment fee. I was told it was a PPO network and perscriptions would be little to nothing. And since I have copd it's impossible for me to get medical insurance .I thought this was a good thing and I had better jump on it. After they took the money out of my account and I got the policy, I called them back and tried to cancel and they just started telling me all about different plans and had a lady call me the next day and started telling me about a medical plan they had that was just the thing for me because it was enrollment time and there was no time to waste. I would have to join today.

I'm on a fixed income and I feel I got robbed of 239.00 that I really couldn't afford to lose, considering I pay any where from 400.00 to 900.00 a month for my medicine.

Milton of Eunice, LA September 26, 2007

Milton of Eunice, LA:
Got a phone call after looking for health insurance. The salesman repeatedly called.  We asked for specific explanation.  He did state it was a health insurance, lowest price.  i have diabetes.  He said that was no problem and took our bank account number ( red flag, i know!) and took our money.  We got papers stating this is not a health insurance.  We keep calling the number and emailing him with NO RETURNED REPLIES.   We tried to cancel and say we want our money back.  All we get is a recorded message. We are going today to close our bank account just in case money is taken out.

Peggy of Milpitas, CA September 10, 2007

Peggy of Milpitas CA (09/10/07)
A salesman called me and said he had a plan that would cover my medical, eye and dental needs. He said that I would pay 119 per month and 119 now... but I had to sign up. I wanted to see the plan and he said I had to sign up first and they would send me the info. I had 30days to cancel. I received the material and it isn't at all what he said and when I tried to cancel, they charged me a fee of 239.00.

This is a Scam...... How do I stop someone else from being taken? I want my money back... I'm unemployed and just got of disability so I have no income and the 239 is part of my house payment.

They charged me 239 to cancel the policy that I had for less than 30 days. I just received the paperwork to review.
