I switched to Farmers Insurance Co. for my auto insurance because they offered a cheaper rate than State Farm Ins. whom I had been with for 30 years.

When after 2 months Farmers raised my premium by 71.10 (I was paying monthly). They advised me this increase was due to the fact I did not provide them with proof of previous insurance (which I had). I then sent them another copy of my previous insurance card which included effective dates, vin number, my name, etc. At this point I cancelled the insurance and went back to State Farm. Farmers continued to send me a bill for the 71.10. I called them several times and finally had State Farm send them a letter to show I had prior insurance coverage.

They then turned the 71.10 over to a collection agency. I have excellent credit (or did have) and this really upset me. I was tired of trying to get them to stop billing me so I just paid the 71.10. I am very angry that this company can take money they are not due. I am not a wealthly person and I would really like to have my 71.10 refunded.

On May 2006, I was standing on the red light when all of the sadden I got hit from the behind by the United States Secret Service people. I been told that I need to go throw my insurance company to fix my car, and then the money will be given back to me, as the accident was not my fault at all. In December 2006 the letter came from Farmers Insurance to sign me up for another 6 months with them, that's what I did...I wrote a check to Farmers for almost 700 for the Insurance of my car till June 2007. Then all of a sudden, on January 12, 2007, I receive a letter from Farmers saying that my insurance went up because off the accident, as I was not insured in the car.

I received correspondence from my mortgage lender that there was no record of flood insurance and I needed to have coverage implemented. I immediately contacted my home insurance agent, Mr. Brian V of Farmers Group Insurance. Mr. V advised me that he received a notice as well and could not implement a flood policy without an Elevation Certificate. When I questioned how to go about getting an Elevation Certificate, he responded, I have a contact person that could come and do the assessment of your home for a fee. I asked him how much would this cost me, his reply was It will be up to the guy, he will let you know. I was a bit suspicious about this so I contacted the California Department of Insurance Fraud Division and was advised that an Elevation Certificate could be obtained at my local City Hall for free. I followed up with City Hall of Suisun and was given the certificate at no cost to me.

I was instructed by the Fraud Rep to delay cancellation of my homeowner's insurance with Farmers to allow time for an investigation. In the meantime, my mortgage company implemented a flood policy through their insurance department without verification of an Elevation Certificate. I feel very frustrated with this as I no longer trust my insurance agent and now feel leary of being taken advantage of by other insurance companies. As instructed, I continue to maintain my homeowners policy with Farmers.

My truck was totalled and adjustor Bechtel told me repeatedly the loan was 'paid-in-full', in a 3-way conference call with the creditor. This should have been recorded, but they claim not, now. The creditor now says the loan is not paid fully, now. Bechtel admits his error. He had assured me, and I need to contact someone. I have the name of his boss.

Creditor says I still owe 4000.
