Jodee of New Ipswich, NH (04/01/06)
I had a tenant that was renting a room from me. I used his checking account one time to pay my insurance and without my permission they added him to my policy.  And now they won't remove him. Since when do landlords have to pay insurance for their tenants?

They want proof of his insurance but I don't think he has any. He doesn't live here anymore, he lives in Vermont and I don't know how to get ahold of him.

My insurance premium monthly went from 108.00 to 194.00.

T. of Charlottesville, VA (02/17/06)
I asked the sales representative for an automobile quote for one vehicle. Then asked for another quote adding one more vehicle on the same policy. The second quote was needed if I purchased a new vehicle (contingent on the amount of the increased insurance) and my budget.

When I received the verbal quotation for two vehicles, I declined the coverage to include the new vehicle stating that I could not afford the premium and to just sell me the original quote for the one vehicle since my financial budget could not support two vehicles.

The sales representative stated that she was not going to sell me insurance for the one vehicle because she thought I was going to buy the second vehicle anyway!

I explained that that was not the case, but she refused to sell me the insurance in a VERY UN-PROFESSIONAL manner by implying I was not truthful.  She refused to connect me to her supervisor.

I ended the call by stating I was not satisfied with her service and that I would take the case to another level by reporting to a consumer reporting agency and sending a major complaint to Geico Executive Management.

Chrissy of Fords, NJ February 14, 2006

Chrissy Acosta of Fords NJ (02/14/06)
I called Geico 1/20/06 to get a quote to reinstate my insurance because I found out that they canceled my policy and didn't tell me about it. The quote they gave me was to high for me to pay on my own, so my mom agreed to put me on her policy.  They called my mom on a conference call because they needed permission from her to add me and my car.

Unfortunately the guy we spoke to didn't add my car, only added me as a driver.  I found this out 10 days later when I got into an accident and my lawyer needed the declaration page for my lawsuit.

I quickly added my car to the policy and called back the next day to speak to a manager.  I was transferred from person to person but never got my issue resolved.  Now I'm stuck with a broken back and car that doesn't run because GEICO made a mistake and didn't add my car.
