When inquiring about a potential zip code change to my auto policy, I was told my rate will now be increasing over 65% solely on this fact. All this after a perfect record and being with the company for years. Over 65% in policy premium. From 472 to well over 740 for six months. ISN'T THIS ILLEGAL IN CALIFORNIA?

Timothy of Baton Rouge, LA May 22, 2009

I have been having a Geico Credit card for some years now with a credit limit of12,700.00 and received a letteron March 10, 2009 stating they arereduceing my credit limit to 1800.00. I have never had a balance over 1000.00 and never been late and almost always pay the balance. The letter states a credit report was not used. If you call the number given you cannot talk to anyone. Always only the automated system.

Geico refuses to pay a claim for their driver who wrecked out vehicle.

Steve of Thousand Oaks, CA May 19, 2009

After filing my previous complaint against Geico, I received an email from Geico stating that my name had been removed from their mailing list. Today, I received yet again another piece of geico Garbage in my mailbox. Is there anything I can do to put an end to this harassment? Is their anything you can recomend to make Geico understand that I do not want to receive ANYTHING from them, Email or Land Mail?

I have requested multiple times that Geico remove me from their mail and email lists. I have followed their instructions to be removed and yet I continue to receive their unwanted solicitations. THIS IS HARASSMENT

A person insured by GEICO (Government Employees Insurance Co) the Geco lizard Icon--hit my childs car and totaled it. GEICO has been messing around with me for the past 4 weeks because her car was worth more than they wanted to pay for a total, so they are working around the clock and dragging their feet trying to find a way to keep from paying for the car.

Gina of Concord , NH May 13, 2009

In mid April, my husband and I gave one of the cars on our Geico Policy, a Dodge Avenger, to my stepson and all decided it would be best if he had his own Geico policy with this vehicle. We agreed to make the down payment to get it activated. They insisted it had to be automatic debit. With Mike on the other line in a three way call, the pressured me to name a date in advance. I named a date that I thought would be safe, April 30th, with the agent's assurance that either the date or the bank could be changed if my husband did not agree, since he was not home at the time. It was agreed that 384.85 would be taken out on 4/30. However approximately 4/26, my husband discovered that due to a 1 week work furlough, we would not have enough in the bank to cover the charge, and wanted to delay it. My husband called to ask if he could change the date to the second week of May. They were uncooperative, and the representative suggested he should go to Citizens Bank for help. My husband told them indeed he would go to the bank and stop the payment. The next morning I went straight to Citizens Bank Customer Service and placed a stop payment, for a 25. fee. They said it had to be the exact amount, and fortunately I had my notes with me from the three-way call. The stop payment was made for 384.85. Jesse, my customer service gentleman, assured me everything should be fine. However on May 5th, the Geico debit posted, inducing a hefty overdraft, and insufficient funds fee. When I called to find out what was going on, the Citizens rep told me that Geico had withdrawn 384.86 ... instead of 384.85, thus making it slide through, not an exact match for the stop payment. We can prove that the quote was 384.85 however, because they sent Mike a letter reflecting this down payment, along with the future payments to be made by Mike. We submitted a copy of this letter to our bank branch manager at Loudon Road in Concord, with whom we filed a Fraud complaint against Geico. The manager was very understanding, and didnt even seem shocked. We are still waiting for a resolution in this matter. Having had 41 in the bank at the time, we incurred an overdraft, including insufficient funds fees all totalling 382.47. Our bank account has been frozen until the matter is resolved. My husband suffers from hypertension, diabetes and nightmares, which were all aggrevated by this needless chaos.

On Feb 11 2006 I was involved with a drunk driver that almost hit me straight on, my truck was totaled the drunk driver took off, 2 witness's took off fallowing him caught him where he lived, the "courts awarded him & after a yr of court battling let him off & the judge agreed with the drunk driver", even though I was left with severe neck & back injuries! so geico covers a little for me to go to physical therphy, then I get told there is no help for me & I need an operation, well then I get the run around from geico!

don't ever insure yourself with geico there commercial's we are paying for! I found that gieco isnt the cheapiest around as they claim found many of companies out there that beat them hands down ,I would advise people to check out travelers insurance company or AIG,if we stuck together maybe we could put geico under were they belong, few people that took my advice they are happier now that they arent getting screwed. Lifetime injury & a totaled vehical that was worth 6000 & only was giving 2450!

Steve of Thousand Oaks, CA May 6, 2009

I have requested multiple times for GEICO to stop sending me unwanted email and USPS mail. I am NOT a GEICO customer. I requested an online quote and the quote was ridiculous. I have Not requested any further contact from GEICO, and as stated have requested they STOP contacting me in ANY way.

richard of pensacola, FL May 5, 2009

we were rear ended on hwy 29 by felicia s. my passenger was injured with a upper thoracic spine injury and is still in pain. the woman who hit us, her insurance company , (first choice insurance), has denied the claim, even tho she got a ticket for reckless driving! now we are sacked with the medical bills, and fixing our own truck,(we have a 2004 silverado full coverage insurance) geico, our insurance company, told me that i would have to pay for all damages before they could reimburse us, "if they could recoup" the money.

NO CLAIM ADJUSTER EVER come out too look at the truck, never took pictures of the vehicle we were told that geico could not go after them or file a claim unless we paid for every thing..that is why i pay a premium every month, well we found a new insurance provider, and we still havent got our truck fixed and still getting medical bills.and my passenger is still in pain. We lost all the food and have been out of refrigeration for a week before realizing its a product defect.

Sylvia of Lithia Springs, GA May 3, 2009

Geico is advertising that it has lower prices in GA, this is absolutely not true. I am classified as a safe driver (no accidents or speeding tickets) and 53 years old. Their prices are higher than all other carriers. This is false advertising. I also know of other people that have complained about the same issue.
