1-3-09 we found the house flooded with water,we immediatley turned off water main removed as much water as possible and turned fans on for cross house ventilation. 1-5-09 contacted our agent with our flooding emergency, she stated we had to wait to hear from our adjuster before we could act, said we would hear from them no later then the end of the day or early next morning. We would of called earlier but there was no emergency #. Even with us calling our agent every day we still did not hear from the adjuster till late 1-7-09. Well guess what started growing on the 4th day, mold! I have been told that it is my responsibility to make sure there is no more damage done to the property! I did what I could do!

When I called our agent I asked what can be done? Is there anyone I can get out here to start getting things dried out and she stated I could do nothing until I heard from the adjuster. So when the adjuster finally responded and told me to call a company called servpro they were right on it. Why wasnt I told of servpro the first day? I never have heard of them before or I would of contacted them myself. It has been weeks and they are still trying to dry everything out but until. Because of the age of the house there is asbestos that has to be dealt with and the mold. During this time I can never get the adjuster to return my calls or even the agents calls, he didnt even show up on site for 7 days.

About 85% of the contents of the house was lost, the water bill is 2332.00 and I cannot imagine what the electric bill is going to be with all of the equipment running. Servpro rented unit for the belongings that were not lost but I was told today I had to find some where else because state farm will not pay for it any longer. But according to the adjuster there is no mold coverage at all and the fact of the matter is if he would of responded to our emergency with just a phone call there would be no mold, I do not know what I am going to do because mold remediation just to start is 5ooo.oo just to start it is like a bottomless pit and they will not allow the homeowner to do the work. So I do not know what my next step should be, do I have any rights cause of the neglect of this adjuster? Please help

11/04/08 I came home to see my home on fire. Mr.E came out that Monday and totally disrespected me as my husband's wife.He never asked who was I, but hurried to stated he was only concerned about my husband, because his name is on the policy. He gave my husband a check for 5000. I went through our home and took pictures, along with counting every item that was destroyed besides what got burned to a crisp and reported my lost.

Mr. E basically told us because he don't make a certain amount within a year we were lying about our content. He wanted us to fill papers out giving him permission to invade our privacy. He has told us that they don't cover alot of our items and because I didn't want to give false timing on some items I left them blank and he stated he wasn't going to pay for those items neither. STATE FARM is the worse insurance company to deal with, if anybody has sense RUN as far as you can from this COMPANY. It is a sham people work and spend multiple of dollars on their content and someone have the nerve to tell them what it is worth. Something really needs to be done concerning this company.

We didn't have anything salvagable and instead of AL E getting pictures of our contents he was trying to see if we started the fire. It was ruled accidental due to faulty wiring, but he is still trying to find a way to get out of paying us.

Every claim we have had with state farm has been handled with Ben or his secretary using intimidation with us and no service at all unless we wanted more insurance then they would charge us immediately. We have had very few claims but the homeowners is the worst. We have called on a fire in 1996 and they informed us that it would not be covered due to a 1000.00 deductible and we should just handle it ourselves. My dad bless his soul fell through our ceiling. But we handled it.

Now we have a plumbing issue. It is going to be costly. Instead of saying oh let us help or let us check your policy, his secretary immediately called state farm and informed me that no matter what the problem was that it was for sure not covered under our policy. We have been with this same company for over 30 year s and I can't believe the lack of service or care.

We don't get the claims paid and we end up being out of pocket all charges and the insurance cost.

In July 2007 my attic sustained water damage, I contacted my state farm agent to advise of the situation, agent said he would turn in the claim and someone would be in touch with me. numerous emails to the agent wasn't successful. I began filing complaints with the Insurance Commission with the state of NC and that got some heads to rolling at a higher level than the agent however as of 01/14/2009 no adjuster has come out to view damage. My take on it is that state farm will run this matter until the 2 year statue of limitations expire and then close the file.

I have since then moved my homeowners insurance and auto insurance from state farm to another company that JD Power rates higher in customer satisfaction with quick response and claims settlement. My recommendation for anybody that is feeling the effect of no pay from state farm should seriously consider switching their insurance to a more reputable compan ! Hey, I was able to get the same coverage with a lower deductible that I had with state farm and paid a lower premium than when I was with state farm.....be aware that state farm has the premiums inflated.

Mold in my attic, and water damage!

Allstate filed a false 0 dollar claim against me to Choice Point. Allstate cancelled me at renewal. I never filed a claim. State Farm gave me a good quote for 909.00 and 2 weeks later they increased my premium, Us bank requested a check for over 550. and increased my home mortgage premiums to 721.00 they said it was due to my hazard insurance.

Choice point and I fought Allstate for 2 and 1/2 years until Allstate ammended my return back to 2006. I have not been rembursed by Us Bank or State Farm. No one will take the blame, I have all my paper work and disputes from Choice point.

This caused a problem with keeping my account current, and hypertension, loss of work and time from my family. I believe it has helped to ruin my credit for a few years.
