Kathryn of Florence, AL January 6, 2009

Kathryn of Florence AL (01/06/09)
I discovered last month I was being double-billed by this company. With every attempt to correct this problem, this company took it to mean it was another account being open with the same identical screen name to be used for each account to be billed to the same payment method without stopping to realize the person could be have software difficulties and that particular attempt was not an actual attempt to set up a seperate account with the same screen name. This practice from this company needs to be stopped and stop now since it has been doing a great deal longer than it should have been allow to do this to people. I have made a former complaint with that particular area's BBB, but it has not done anything. You are my last chance to resolve this matter. PLEASE HELP ME!

The following E-mail was precisely copied and pasted by me that was sent to me concerning this matter. Please note the date of this E-mail and what is states about a 10-day refund time frame. While you are doing so, please keep in mind I am using my debit card to pay this monthly fee.

Subject: Notification of Refund Approval Date: 12/8/2008 1:39:45 P.M. Central Standard Time From: AOLPaymentInfo Reply To: To: Thank you for contacting AOL. We have received your request for a refund. We have processed this request and it has been approved. You can expect a refund to your method of payment on file within 2-3 billing cycles. Total damage for this current round of being double-billed equals to 51.80. I would like to have refund immediated since it going on one month that I have called this company and ask for a complete refund for both accounts and close one accounts during that call.

I was double billed by AOL through their deceptive scheme involving multiple screen names. I was double billed for for a spin-off sub account.

I lost several hundred dollars before discovering I had been scanned.

Aol Internet has been double charging me for the aol services for the past three or four months, and I have tried talking to people there but all I have been told is that I have two screennames which I don't have. This is getting very frustating for me.

I am a senior citizen on disability payments which are not much money. I suffer from chronic asthma, which has been exacerbated by the stress of this problem. Sometimes because of the overcharging I have had bounced checks of other household bills. This is not fair and I would like to have money returned or not to have double billing anymore. I am about to cancel Aol and I hope that I can.

We are being double billed by AOL. We pay for AOL thru road runner high speed and billed by AOL for the same service. They refuse to acknoledge this and are threating to stop service. We have been paying double since 2006 because of a credit card billing we didn't catch until recently.

About 1500.00 worth of billing over charges.

They have been double charging me for 2 separate screen names for the past 3 years. I did not open two accounts even though they're saying I did.

Over 800 in additional charges that I did not realize I was paying. I called today to get my money back & they said it was my fault.
