Website Pros

Seth of Los Angeles writes (5/8/02)
NetObjects Fusion was offering a $50 rebate on an upgrade of their software. I sent it in, and after waiting for three months for the rebate to show up, I called the rebate hotline and they told me that the request was taking especially long because of the popularity of the rebate. When I called them back a couple of months later, the rebate hotline now referred me to NetObjects corporate office becase they were "no longer handling those requests."

I called corporate, and the entire Netobjects office was being run by a skeleton crew and I was referred this way and that to no avail. No one was able to anwer my question: (Who is going to pay me?). I followed the trail to Website Pros, who had aquired Netobjects, and started to deal with their staff. Once again, I was given the run around. It seemed like all roads led to Steve Raubenstine, V.P. of NetObjects Fusion Group (a division of Website Pros), so I called him, and even wrote him a letter. He hasn't responded.

Damage Resulting
$50 lost and consumer confidence in an otherwise fine product shaken.
