GGW producer arrested

Things haven't been going quite as well for producer Joe Francis and his "Girls Gone Wild" crew. They were arrested recently on more than 21 criminal charges in Florida and consumer agencies and class-action lawyers are training their sites on the company. If you've had an experience like those described below, please let us know about it by using our consumer complaint form.

Mark of Sylvania OH (07/01/08)
I received two unsolicited GGW DVDs with a equity line card number most likely taken from an Internet purchase. I've already filed a claim with my bank but had to cancel my equity card number, which is a big inconvenience. I have no way of contacting this company. The internet adddress bounces and they have no phone #'s I can find. I have an attorney on retainer and will most likely engage. This is a huge waste of time and very frustrating.

Brad of Ontario CA (06/28/08)
I ordered a product for 9.95. Only. Then they started sending products and charging 28.63 on my card. i just received another one today. I am sending them back unopened, but I need them to credit my visa account.

Charges to my account amounting to 28.63 times 4 or 114.52.

Elizabeth of Manchester MA (06/12/08)
Was send and charged DVD's unsolicited. Has to cancel my credit card.

Eugene of San Diego CA (06/05/08)
I received four unsolicited GGW DVDs with a debit card number most likely taken from an Internet purchase. I've already filed a claim with my bank but had to cancel my debit card number, which is a big inconvenience. For everyone else out there, a class action suit really needs to happen. This company should've gone down a long time ago, but apparently their scam is still happening.

I was charged over $36.00; I had to cancel my debit card which means pending bills will be late; I am without any debit card payment options for 5-7 business days until my new one arrives; I have the tedious task of changing all my online bills/accounts where I use my debit card; and there's the immense anger and frustration from getting scammed like this

Shannon of Kingsland GA (05/27/08)
I noticed a discrepancy with my CHILD SUPPORT debit mastercard available funds, and called customer service. I was informed that a charge of $74 was made to an unknown company. Three weeks later I received eight videos from GGW, TO MY JOB, and called them. I am awaiting my debit card people to get my money back. Not only did I NOT order that crap, but it was fraudulently sent to me using my son's money (child support). I'm stil trying to get the money back.

IT WAS MY SON'S CHILD SUPPORT MONEY!! I was going to sign him up for kids in college deep sea creatures class at the local college, something he was very excited about. I had to borrow the money to do that, which I hate, and I'm still waiting to get the money back.

Matt of Pensacola FL (05/23/08)
I ordered some cologne off the internet about 10 months ago. There was something that said would you like a free girls gone wild dvd. So of course i said yes. I thought it was going to be a one time thing but every month since they have been sending me a dvd like clockwork and billing me right underneath my nose. I just noticed on my checking account they billed me $26.98 this month. I have requested my bank to send me all of my past activity to see if thats not the only charge. I doubt it is. Please i hope you can do something about this. I am going to the bank on tues to change my account so these charges will stop.

Stacy of Atlanta TX (05/23/08)
My bank account was charged for some Girls gone wild tapes that I did not order. I have filed a complaint with the local police dept. I have also had to cancel my debit card on my business account.

My card was charged with $9.99. That's not much, but it's the principle of the thing.

Layton of Foxboro MA (05/22/08)
imagine the surprize of your old next door neighbor giving you a 'sorry we missed you' receipt from the postman. or the surprize that happens at the post office when you realise that your ex's son ordered internet bimbo dvd's, using your name and expects you to sign for it. or the wonderment of... who paid for this...maybe the lowlife had a credit card, also in my name, issued to him for special times, like now. sorry GGW your crap is on the way back via the US Postal Inspection Service and the spawned Fraud Investigations!

At the moment there seems to be no monetary issue to me. The Felon that made this occur will probably incur some legal fees.

Raju of Fairfax VA (05/20/08)
Shipped and charged DVDs which we did not order.

Economic depends on when and whether they will credit us and stop shipping unrequested materials.

S. of Bellevue NE (05/08/08)
I received a call from my credit card agency to ask about questionable charges. There were 3-4 that I hadn't done, one was to GGW which was a company I was totally unfamiliar with. Two weeks later I received 5 dvd's that I hadn't ordered. I had cancelled my card with the initial call so there shouldn't be an ability to keep charging me but it's more than a little annoying.

The card had to be cancelled and a new one sent out. It's irritating and frightening to see how easy it appears to be to gain access to a supposedly private account.

Kim of Phoenix AZ (05/07/08)
I received an email form my bank stating that there was suspicious activity on my debit card, and they put a stop on it. Two charges were for GGW, one a dvd and one website access. They told me the DVD was being shipped to me and to return it when it arrived.

I had to close that debit card account and open a new one.

Sue of Dallas GA (05/07/08)
I was sent these girls gone wild cd's, which I never ordered....I would very much like to know what I can do to get my money back. Please let me know what I need to do with this trash...

I really need this money that went for this trash We are barely making ends meet as it is.

Walter of Miami Beach FL (05/07/08)
I order a cologne online and offer was given of free DVD with out any charge to see if I liked it so I added.  Now Im beeing charged monthly for DVD movies of Girls Gone wild. No phone number seem to work cant seem to get a hold of some one to cancel its impossible. Seems alot of people have ben scamed and a big class action lawsuit should be placed to teach those companies to respect peoples hrd working money.

I live check by check to pay my student laon to live and to try to be a better person and sometimes its really hard. I dont want people charging with out my permision

Anita of Moorehaven FL (05/06/08)
REceiving girl gone wild at this address without ordering. THe name on package not living here. Have ask them not to send the cds. Now they have sent all four that have been sent back, back to this address. I don't know what to do?

Leslie of Birmingham AL (05/01/08)
I never ordered their videos, but began receiving them about a year ago in the mail. My CC has been charged about $27 per month each time. Regardless of how many times I call them to cancel this, the charges continue to come! Each time I call I am told that there is no record of me canceling the service (of course). It's just a simple rip off and shell game with [them]!

Well over $300 at this time of money that I need to pay bills!

James of Occoquan VA (04/30/08)
tapes arrived we did not order; very offensive; called; clerk not able to help; floor supervisor, LeAnn, wanted card numbers; raised voice, sneering tone; stated how can I help when you won't give me your number. I said you have my name and address. What I want is all my information removed from your database and your assurance I will receive no more from you. She was shouting at this point and stated she had worked there for three years without problem. I said your company is all over the net as committing fraud and someone is hacking. Since your company did file a charge, there is obviously some relationship. This triggered heated denial. Conversation ended with my saying I was very sorry she had to have been associated with such a company and that I hoped her life would be better in the future. Then, I called the police to begin filing a report.

Our dear scottie spent the day at the vet for IV fluids as she struggles for life. We are very senior citizens. Our mail goes to a postoffice where we must pick it up. This is a humiliating delivery. The emotional toll it takes on us is huge. Tomorrow we tackle BoA and the Federal government to report this. The distress is real and health-threatening. There should be a way these people can be made to leave honorable folks alone.

Bradley of Jennerstown PA (04/29/08)
WAS SENT VIDEOS THAT I DID NOT ORDER 2 OFF THEM ARRIVED IN THE MAIL ON 29 APRL 08.

WAS CHARGED TO MY CREDIT CARD .

Linda of Bristol CT (04/27/08)
i rec'ed a notice that the post office had a package that needed to be picked up and signed for. so i went to get it and signed for it and brought it home. my husband and i are always getting packages for things we order via the internet or calling in orders to different stores. THIS PACKAGE I DID NOT ORDER. IT HAD SEVEN PORNO DVD'S IN IT WITH NO PACKING SLIP.

I have no idea how they got my name or address. i have to call all my credit cards and make sure this is not on any of them and then i will have to cancel all the current acct's and get new ones JUST IN CASE. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ANY HELP ON THIS. I'M REALLY MAD. should i just send it back. but then i have to pay for return postage and i never even ordered this trash. please help thanks

the only harm this has done is made my fear of going online to order anything from any wen site worse. i think i'll go back to shopping at the stores around my area. why is the world filled with scum that are always trying to rip people off? losers

Ed of Canyon Lake CA (04/26/08)
I recieved media I didn't order

William of Apex NC (04/24/08)
I rec'd yesterday 2008-04-23 seven (7) DVDs from GGW aka Girls Gone Wild that I never ordered and there is no packing slip in the box. I order items off the internet a couple of times a month, and there is ALWAYS a packing slip in the box. So this isn't legitimate from the get go. I had to go to the post office to sign for it so I'm really unhappy about going out of my way for this trash. I'm double-checking my credit cards for any charge from them and haven't seen anything yet. And I don't know where they got my credit card number, whatever one they are using.

Just a guess, but a vendor that might have leaked the card number is Academy of Karate Martial Arts Supplies out of New Jersey that I ordered some rebreakable boards from. (My wife is big into Hapkido and for her black belt test she has to break some boards at the end. Instead of going through a lot of pine boards to prepare, there are some plastic breakable boards that you can re-assemble about 100 times.) We watch UFC fights on Spike TV and I believe Girls Gone Wild also advertises on that station. (Hapkido is a mixed martial art that combines strikes, judo, grappling, etc. that is what you see on UFC.) So that is the only connection to a vendor I can guess at for now.

So far, just an extra trip to the Apex Post Office off of Hwy 55. I'm keeping an eye on my credit cards though.

Amy of Vandalia OH (04/24/08)
I made one purchase from Telefloral.com (flowers) and the same day my credit information was used to purchase Girls Gone wild videos. This was an unauthorized charge and I have never ordered anything from this company. They also signed me up for a monthly subscription. They must be stealing card information when you place an order on other web sites. This is a crime.

This has cost me a lot of time and I still did not get my credit as of today.

Sharon of Turlock CA (04/22/08)
I recieved two porn videos in the mail. I did NOT order them! I do not even know anything about this co. They charged my credit card for these videos with out my permission! How did they get my information? I had to close my credit card! Well, i have a thery.... I used my credit card two days before they charged my card, to rent a movie at one of the RED BOX machines at a local grocery store. I think maybe they hacked in to this Co. Or they are partners!

I was under a lot of stress over this. I had to cancel my card. How do i know they don't have more acct. #'s ?

K.w. of Colgate, WI (04/15/08)
I have the same problems everyone else has, I keep getting DVDs I don't want, and they keep stealing my money.

I have sent e-mails that were never answered, and phone calls just went nowhere. I just wonder, after I cancel my credit card, are they going to put negative marks on my credit report for refusing to pay.

Nardia of West Palm Beach FL (03/21/08)
I ordered some cream for shaving on a web site of a company which I don't remember now, and they offered two free videos of Girls Gone Wild. I didn't want the video, but still they where going to send them. Now they are sending 1 video every other month, and charging my debt card every time they send one. I am very upset. I call them; that phone number is fake. I think this is a scam, and someone should do something about it. PLEASE.

I have lost lots of money, as this been happing for months. I called the order center, very upset. They told me they can't do anything about it--to call customer service. I call; it is always busy. This has me very worried.

Christi of Taunton MA (03/20/08)
I received 2 girls gone wild videos which I did not order or ask for. So far at this time I have not been charged on my credit card. If I am, I will notify my credit card company of unauthorized charges.

Frank of Antwerp NY (03/17/08)
I ordered a dvd from this company for a party as a one time thing. Since then, I get charged $26.98 approximately every two weeks and receive a dvd about every two months--which I don't even want. I work out of state and am home only about four times a year and only briefly. I don't have time to sit around and watch videos that I didn't even order anyway, let alone the expense of it all. I can't find a way to cancel this and get reimbursed for my money.

I can't cancel my debit card as I need it for on the road expenses. I'm not home long enough (or it's holiday time) to get a new card issued. I just need this craziness to stop!

Steve of Puyallup WA (03/14/08)
i have tried to cancel these videos four times, each time the rep has told me it has been cancelled but i am still receiving videos from these jerks. what has to be done to stop this insanity? i tried the customer service website today but it can not be found on the web...

Joseph of Floral Park, NY (03/11/08)
I received 2 Girls Gone Wild video's in the mail that I never ordered. When I tried to speak to someone about how this trash got to my door, the website did not work and an operator told me she did not have my credit card on file, even though I was charged on my cc.

My credit card company called me to tell me strange activity was occurring on my card. I had to declare my card stolen so the monthly charge would not show up. How did this happen? I never lost my card, or a receipt with info on it.

Holly of Claremore OK (03/07/08)
I let my friend use my debit card to order one Girls Gone Wild video. When we realized it was a subscription service, she went online and canceled it. However, I continue to receive videos and get charged monthly. I called the number on my bank statement and they told me I had to call a special number because it was ordered online. Customer service reps I talked to at both numbers told me my information could not be found in their system. They said they did not have my credit card on file. I asked them how they could bill me if they don't have my information.. and they just talked in circles. I guess I'll have to have my debit card canceled and suffer the embarrassment of talking to my bank about Girls Gone Wild.

I am billed $26.98 every month. I am a college student and cannot afford this.

Susan of Middletown NY (03/06/08)
I received 5 dvd's in the mail. I never ordered them! I tried to email the company and the web page is not there. My credit card was charged $52.00. I had to report my card stolen as I did not place an order for the dvds.

Stephanie of Davis CA (03/03/08)
Four GGW videos were in my mailbox that were never ordered. I called the company, and they said that they were ordered under my husband's name; our credit card was not charged--yet. They said it could be listed as Video Direct, DCC, TGW Video or Digi. They also said it would have been $32.45. And they listed a second contact address with the order that was NOT IN EXISTENCE after I checked it out on Google maps.

Michael of Astoria NY (02/21/08)
I received three Girls Gone Wild DVDs that I never ordered. My checking account has been charged for them, and I have been unable to reach anyone to get them to stop.

The first charge caused my checking account to go into overdraft for which I had to pay a $35 fee.

Yolanda of San Antonio TX (02/20/08)
This company sent us videos (we did not request them), and we returned them unopened. Somehow they managed to get our credit card account number--we think from some vitamins we ordered on line. We closed our credit card account and have asked them to stop soliciting us, to not call us, we did not want this product or order. This was back in August 2007. It stopped for a while. Again they started calling our home. On 1/16 I spoke to customer service rep who stated our number would be removed from their call lists. On 1/29 we received another call from them. My husband answered the phone and the rep. kept talking over my husband who kept telling them to stop calling and harassing us. It turned into a screaming and cursing match between the rep and my husband who hung up. The guy turned right around and called right back. This all started about 9:00 pm.

On 1/30 I called the 800 number at GGW and spoke to Kela--D#40Z--and again explained our situation. I threatened legal action because I believe we are being harassed by this company as we have told them numerous times to stop calling us. We are in our late 40's and have no need for their product. Kela stated that she understood the law. I also advised we are on the DO NOT CALL registry. She stated she would have our number removed, and within 72 hours we should never receive any more calls from their company. On 2/14 we received a call from this company at about 8:45 pm and again on 2/19 at 7:30pm.

This has really gotten out of hand. Not only did I have to cancel my bank card, I feel like we are constantly being harassed by this company. They will not stop calling us, and in fact told me that every time I call to complain my number is just entered back into their data base for solicitation.

Gene of Sheboygan WI (02/09/08)
I too have become a victim of GGW (Girls Gone Wild). Ordered 1 video, and now they just keep coming without my authorization. They take out over $26.00 for each video they send. I have tried to contact them but cannot get through to anyone.

William of Apache Junction AZ (02/08/08)
I ordered a video from a T.V. ad online and specifically checked a box that said I did not want any more video's in the future. This was June of 2007, and I got it and that should have been it. In November they started charging my credit card $26.98 and sending me video's again. When I got the bill I hadn't yet received anything and told them in no uncertain terms that I did not order anything; and I would turn them in for an unauthorized credit card charge. I was then told that it was their mistake and to keep the video when it came in, and they would refund my money. They did not. I then received another bill in December for $26.98 and called them again. After quite a few phone calls to complain, they finally credited my account $19.99 and said I could keep the video I opened but would have to pay the shipping charge. I would also have to wait for the other video to come in and return it unopened to receive another credit--but this time I would get a full refund. I would have to pay the shipping back to them, however.

I waited and returned not only the unopened video, but the first one too. I then received another credit in January for $19.99. I know it isn't that much money, but they shorted me $6.99 per video, and I paid $6.95 to send them back. When I called about it they just told me to stop calling them, and that was all I was going to get. I have closed the account to prevent them from using it again and would advise anyone reading this to not disclose any bank or credit card information to this company. Feel free to use this letter on the internet. Maybe it will help others. Thank You.

I have hours of time and aggravation attached to this, but really just want to report them to keep others from falling into their internet trap.

Diane of Murray KY (02/07/08)
I received an unmarked package in the mail. I opened it and to my surprise it was a pornographic video from GGW. I was confused since I am a single Mom/Grandma. This package was addressed to me! I have absolutely no interest in pornographic materials. I have a nine year old son, and I was very thankful that he had not gotten the package. I marked the item return to sender and thought that was the end of it. I am also a full time student so sometimes it takes me a couple of weeks to get to my bank statements and balance my checkbook. Three weeks later I received another package from GGW. I did not want that trash in my home so I returned it to the post office and marked again with permanent marker DID NOT ORDER-RETURN TO SENDER! The next day I received a notice from my bank that I was overdrawn! I knew that shouldn't be. When I checked with my bank I found that I was charged $1 for the first shipment on 9-21-2007. Then for $26.98 10-19-2008. I went to my bank and they did a claims adjustment and canceled my debit card. They said they would block GGW from charging my account anymore.

Although they did the claims adjustment, that did nothing to repair my credibility with the returned checks. Now I just found a new charge on my statement for $26.98. I have no idea how GGW obtained my bank information or how they were able to charge me again when I had my card canceled and a new one issued. In addition to their charging me for items I did not order, want, or authorize payment for, they call me from this number (1-800-689-3666) constantly. They call my home at least 5 times nightly, and I don't know how many times they might call when we are not home since I do not have caller ID. Often they say please hold for a very important call, and then they either hang up on me or they ask if this is Diane. When I say yes--click; they hang up. I want the harassment to stop.

My credibility has been marred due to the returned checks. I have yet to receive the money back on the latest infringement on my bank account. My son asks me who keeps calling us and hanging up. How do you explain to a nine year old that they are a company peddling porn? It's embarrassing to have the mailman putting these things in my mailbox. I now intend to get my money back again and then change banks altogether. I shouldn't have to change my bank just because some hacker has gotten my info.

Frank of Glendale NY (02/01/08)
I ordered a video for a bachelor party, and thought it was a one time purchase. I continue to get video's and charges to my account. I have e-mailed them many times and have sent the videos back but continue to get one every month.

I want the charges to my account stopped at once.

Mitch of Wess. Springs SD (01/22/08)
I received a phone call today about 4:05 pm cst at my home where a lady calling herself Jenna, asked me to do a poll about adult videos - she was telling me she was from Girls Gone Wild. I told her I would take the poll, and she asked me one question. I answered and she said, "great, now can I send you your 2 free videos and all that we ask is you pay for the shipping." So I said sure and then she asked me for my credit card and I said I don't carry a credit card and then she hung up on me.

Linda of Moberly, MO (01/20/08)
I ordered the two DVDs for $9.95 as a Christmas present for my husband and I was assured I could cancel my membership at any time, but I have been unable to do so. When I call, I'm told it's not the correct number and they have yet to answer my emails to their customer service site. I have refused delivery of subsequent packages but they continue to debit my account.

Matt of Sunnyvale, CA (01/19/08)
I ordered one video on GGW about 3 months ago. I now receive GGW once a month and I get to watch GGW take money out of my bank account for something I do not wish to receive. Not only do I not want these videos, but I recently became unemployed and GGW overdrew the last piece of money I had left.

I have tried to email them about my account telling them I want to cancel and have no interest in recieving more videos. I'm still waiting for their reply's from my email.  What do I have to do to make this madness stop?

James of Eugene OR (01/17/08)
I ordered some videos from them but canceled my subscription soon. But now they send videos to my parents' that I keep telling them I don't want; then they charge me without my knowledge so I end up bouncing checks. They call at least twice a week even though I keep demanding they stop calling and stop sending me videos. I don't even know how much money this has ended up costing me, but it's a lot.

They take money out, without my knowledge, all they time. My bank doesn't give bank statements for at least a month after, so I never know how much and how often money is taken. It throws off my balance which makes checks bounce.

Eugene of Washington DC (01/17/08)
I ordered a GGW DVD on 11/30/2007 for $16.98. I did not sign up for their monthly service. I received a second DVD in the mail 1/14/2008, and my credit card was charged without my permission for $26.98 on 12/26/2008. GGW privacy policy on www.girlsgonewild.com says that you can opt out of this service on www.girlsgonewild.com/pp, but that portion of the website does not exist.

Expense, lost time, inconvenience.

Leonard of Orlando FL (01/13/08)
I have not signed up for anything with this place. My checking account has had several transactions (POS), taken from my account. They are marked as from GGW. the last one said GGW video, from Santamontica, CA., in the amount of $49.95.

I have had to have my Debit/ATM cards cancelled, and a new ones issued.

Tim of Quezon City OTHER (01/10/08)
November 20, '07, I noticed my credit card had been charged $1 by a GGW Video. I had never ordered anything from this company, never received any merchandise from them, nor know how they ever got my credit card information (info only I know). It turns out they sent a video to my mother of all people, a lady who hadn't even heard of this company nor made any order from them. She returned the video without opening it. I called in a complaint to the company, demanding $200 compensation for their abuse. It turns out they charged me again a month later, only this time for $26.98. A second video arrived, which she also returned. It looks like I'll have to shut down my credit card. Who knows how many others have my info!?

I had to make several international long distance phone calls from my home in the Philippines to deal with this. I am also having to shut down my credit card, not to speak of the time I have had to waste. IMO $500 is reasonable compensation for all the trouble they have caused me.

Elisa of Hohenwald TN (12/31/07)
I keep receiving video's from this company, and I have not talked to or ordered anything from this company. I had to cancel my credit card in hopes that this company will not be able to get into my checking account.

Phil of Fort Lauderdale FL (12/30/07)
I ordered 1 video and now I receive unauthorized videos every month that I am being billed for.

I am on a fixed income and cannot afford the price of this unauthorized subscription.

Chad of Jesup GA (12/28/07)
I ordered a DVD off their site. Next thing I know I have almost $27.00 charge on my debit bank account every month...and also double charged one month, called to cancel and get refund of the double charge. CSR said she canceled my subscription and credited my account back. Two weeks later I still haven't seen credit, so I called again today; and she was rude and said my account was credited....Not sure if I believe it or not. I'm also wondering if my subscription was canceled. Not a very nice experience.

Daryl of Sharpsville PA (12/22/07)
These people keep calling us, and we never bought any of their services or signed up for their calls. They call at all hours of the day.

They sent porno tapes to us. We sent them back without opening the package after we saw what was in the first package.

W of New Berlin WI (12/21/07)
I ordered a Pherlure cologne that offered a free dvd trial of Girls Gone Wild. After the video (which was terrible and very sketchy and morally inept), I followed the correct procedures to cancel per their form through Anr orders. I have received and been billed for 4 or 5 more dvd's since. Total scam.

I have more than $100 in charges that are still coming for dvd's I canceled long ago and had never opened.

Kevin of Tampa FL (12/20/07)
I purchased 1 video from Girls Gone Wild which should be called girls being persuaded. A couple months later I am still receiving videos that I did not order and am being charged. The videos are terrible, anyway!

Maury of Crystal MN (12/20/07)
I ordered free videos from GGW. Now I continue to receive videos I did not order, and I am charged for them. The Customer service website is listed as http://www.ggwcustomerservice.com on the envelope. But if you go to that site, the phone number listed does not function, and the link provided is also out of service.

Chaney of Wellington KY (12/20/07)
I started receiving GGW DVD's, and my bank account was being charged. I did not give out my account info! I tried to contact the GGW by nunbers found on the internet and got no human response, or all numbers were disconnected. I filed through the California Better Business Bureau; they did try to help; but since GGW is not a BBB member--they didn't respond. Believe it or not, my bank helped me. A teller looked up my info and finally found a 800 # for GGW to call--finally a HUMAN voice! The # was 800-689-3666. CALL THIS NUMBER TO CANCEL THE VIDEOS AND GET YOUR MONEY RETURNED!

Just started getting calls this week, 12-18-07. They called and called and let the phone ring off the hook. I was taking a shower while my 3 mo. was taking a nap. They woke up my baby! I called them and they said they'd put us on a do not call list. I'm glad my daughter wasn't 3 yrs instead and answered the phone!

Craig of Austin TX (12/16/07)
I ordered a cologne. After I placed the order, a screen came up and asked if I wanted Girls Gone Wild videos FREE with the purchase, so I said yes. Now I'm continuously getting the videos and being charged more. I have not opened the videos because I want my money back.

They are taking money from my account for items I didn't purchase!

Wiley of Bastian VA (12/15/07)
I have recently started receiving pornographic DVD's that I have never ordered. They come without any paperwork, invoices, etc. I never ordered this material or in any other way have had dealings with this company and wish the deliveries to stop. I do not want this material in my trash, let alone my mail box.

Extreme embarrassment. It is just very lucky that my grandchildren didn't check the mail on either occassion this filth was in the mailbox.

Josh of Chandler AZ (12/13/07)
I bought 1 GGW video of an email I received. This video was for $1.00. I continued to receive videos while my account was being charged. I cannot find a customer number to call and cancel these charges.

I'm on a fixed income and cannot afford these monthly charges. I signed up for one video and was charged for many.

Carol of Abingdon MD (12/11/07)
Yesterday I received two DVDs in the mail from Girls Gone Wild.  I never ordered these, there is no invoice, and I don't know if they were charged to my account or how they would have done that, as I didn't give anyone my credit card numbers.

I am not the least interested int his format.  I'm only glad that my husband was the only one present when I opened them.

Carmen of Fresno CA (12/10/07)
I have been receiving porno DVDs from Girls Gone Wild and feel very embarrassed because I never, never have seen one like this in my life.  I don't appreciate it at all, and I hope you can help me so they will stop sending this dirty, nasty stuff.  Thank you so much.  I can't get over this.  I haven't been having a good sleep ever since.

Esther of Philadelphia PA (12/05/07)
I received 2 DVD's in the mail titled Girls Gone Wild. I have never order such tapes. There was no information or packing slip inside. On the outside of the package there was a website listed for customer service; ggwcustomerservice.com. However, there is no such website. I believe someone or something is wrong. In other words, some sort of fraud is being committed. What should I do?

Andrea of Robbinsville NC (12/02/07)
GGW took money out of my accout and sent me videos. I have never ordered any videos from them and don't know how they got my credit card information. I had to call and cancel my card and get a new one. There are also other scams going on. Three other companies took money out of my account and I don't have any idea who they are either. Very sad....

I had to cancel my credit card. I thought they may have gotten my information from ordering other things from the internet. I used it to order Karoake and sometimes items from Collections Etc. I have never had problems like this. I am on a limited income as my husband is a dialysis patient and on disability.

James of Howard KS (11/26/07)
Girl Gone Wild three times sent me videos I didn't order. I have a very limited income and cannot afford money coming out of my bank. Besides, I don't look at that trash.

Edward of C
I just got my credit report back today on 11/20/07, and it says that a withdrawal of $26.98 was taken out by Girls Gone Wild. I never approved of this, so they've taken money out of my account without my say so. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

I don't know if they're going to do it again.

Charles Wright of Shreveport LA (11/16/07)
Charged me 203.91 for boggus videos

my electric in my house was turned off..I am 60 yers old and on a limited income.

Matthew of Kerrville TX (11/13/07)
Girls Gone Wild has charged me over $150, even though I have called twice and told them to quit charging me and refund my money. They have done neither and still continue to charge me each month.

Brendon of Rochester NY (10/30/07)
I ordered a video from Girls Gone Wild, and many more videos were being sent monthly after that. I sent an E-mail and called saying that I wanted the orders and the billing to stop. At this time, GGW has stopped sending videos, but VV Direct keeps on billing me and sending me videos.

I am being charged about $35 monthly for videos that I do not want.

Rajkumar of Staunton VA (10/27/07)
An unauthorized $1 charge on 08/01/07 by Girls Gone Wild(GGW) appeared on my credit card statement, although I didn't notice it at first. I received a DVD package with 2 DVD's sometime around 08/24/07. I don't know who sent it, so I kept the package as it is and did not open it. I saw another charge of $26.98 in my credit card on 08/29/07. I got concerned and called the 800-689-3666 number provided by my credit card activity. They said some marketing company made the order. GGW cancelled my account (which I did not create), asked me to return the videos and they will refund the amount in 3-4 weeks. I called the marketing company (866-380-7147) and left a message. But they did not call me back. Then after 3 or 4 tries I talked to them. Neither the phone company or GGW will accept blame. I think both the companies are cheating together. I don't know where all my personal information is revealed.

Around 09/24/07 I received another DVD even though I canceled my account on 09/04/2007. I was refunded $1 on my credit card on 10/19/2007, but not the $26.98. I returned all DVD's but GGW said they received only one packet. I returned both together. I asked them why they sent me the second DVD package which I canceled on 09/04/2007. I want to file a complaint on both Girls Gone Wild and the other Marketing company

I had a $26.98 charge on my credit card and spent more than 10 hours fighting with both the companies. They caused me a lot of trouble. Also the customer service people were so rude.

Joanne of Monrovia CA (10/17/07)
I received two videos from Girls Gone Wild. I did not order them and need advice on what to do. I am closely monitering my credit card statements and bank charges.

Mathew of Fort Polk LA (10/16/07)
Girls Gone Wild will not stop charging me for video that are repeats. I carefully explained that I wasn't interested but keep receiving $26.00 charges. This is an outrage.

Ronald of Flower Mound, TX (10/11/07)
Got a couple videos online for my dad.  I did not realize I was signing up for a monthly DVD program.  I have called repeatedley and sent emails to cancel and I still keep getting the DVD's and getting billed $36 each month for DVDs I do not want.

Billy of Oklahoma City OK (08/22/07)

I ordered a product from a complete different site and just before finishing the order it asked if I wanted two Girls Gone Wild DVDs for One Dollar. It didn't say anything about anymore coming in the mail every month. When I received the first extra DVD I returned it unopened, and to my surprise a charge showed up on in my account. I never even gave them my information so I didn't think they could charge me. The other site must have given them my information. I called GGW and they said they would refund the charges but yesterday another DVD showed up, and the first charges never were refunded.

Edgar of Walker LA (08/22/07)

On 8/10 Kendulle contacted me by phone and offered 2 free GGW DVDs for a handling charge of $9.99. She promised to bill my checking account on 8/14. Kendulle called 8/14 to ask about an ISF rejection by the bank when I was billed 8/10. I told her I'd removed these funds 8/9 as I was suspicious. She asked if she could bill my account a second time. I very clearly refused and requested no further interaction with GGW or Vivid Entertainment. Kendulle agreed.

On 8/17 GGW billed my account $16.98. I called to protest. I was told to return the DVDs at my expense and await repayment by the supervisor, Amy. Amy rudely asserted any complaints or action on my part would require an attorney and ultimately, the situation would be your word against ours.

Tracy of Grand Rapids, MI (08/16/07)
They call me all the time!  I have never ordered any of their videos, but they call me constantly and ask for John.

Luckily I have not been billed for anything.

Larry of Fairfield, CA (07/23/07)
We purchase one DVD, in turn they tried to bill us for more.  My wife and I had to change our credit card number.  We have tried to take our names off their call list, but we still continue to get multiple phone calls on a regular annoying basis, even though they say they have taken care of it.

Adam  of Cincinnati, OH (04/26/07)
I ordered several DVD's from GGW, and was guaranteed that I could go online to cancel my subscription.  So I sent them an email telling them that I no longer wanted ANY videos from them. '

Today my account has been charged $26.85 for GGW movies.  Customer service said that they tried to charge my card 4 times over the last 2 weeks.  I explained to her, in my eyes, if it didn't go through 4 times, there is a good chance I don't want the movies.

Pete of New York, NY (04/10/07)
I purchased one DVD and they entered me as a member. I called and cancelled the membership I never purchased but they keep charging me $29.95 a month.

I called again, they said my cancellation number was not valid.  I paid $130 for one DVD - kinda pricey.  I had to cancel my credit card to get rid of them.

Jason of Nahant MA (03/19/07)\

They are part of Girls Gone Wild. When you order any DVD's from GGW it auto checks a box that you don't know about and it automatically sends you 2 DVD's a month for $36.98 I don't want these videos and there is no way that I know about to get them to cancel and stop taking funds out of my account.

James of Dacula GA (03/05/07)

I ordered a video from Girls Gone Wild over a year ago...it was supposed to be a one time thing for $9.99. Then the next month they sent me another set and I called them immediately to cancel. They told me I could return the videos, but that it was too late for a refund so we kept them and told them to never send us one again.

2 or 3 months later I started seeing the charges ($36.98) on our credit card AGAIN, but this time from a company called VV Direct (their "sister" company.) They are still sending us videos and we are still fighting this battle with VV Direct.

Jeffrey of Orlando, FL (03/05/07)
My friend gave me $53.95 to buy some videos. I received the videos that I ordered. When I went to my bank on 3/02/2007, I had two overdraft charges and two separate debits. One for $25.98 and the other for $26.98. I never bought anything from them after my inital purchase.

I reported to the bank and they cut up my debit cards.

Tim of Rifle, CO (02/19/07)
I cancelled my GGW subscription and was given a confirmation number.  That same day I was checking my bank account balance and discovered that they were debiting my account the next day for not just one video, but two!  I purchased a set for a friend as a gift and now I can't get these things to stop.

Ryan of Fairfax, VA (01/18/07)
A few years ago I attempted to purchase DVDs.  After I did not receive the DVDs I called to ask about them and I discovered that I had given incorrect credit card information. I was asked if I still wanted to buy DVDs by just giving new credit card information. I told the rep that I did not want to give new credit card information and to cancel my account.

For the past several years GGW has hounded me by calling my phone asking if I wanted to purchase DVDs and give new credit card information. I never once gave new credit card information and I never re-authorized GGW to charge an account of mine.  I just put up with the calls, but when I received a DVD in the mail and learned GGW opened an account on me, it went too far.

Without my authorization on 11/24/06 my credit card was charged an unexplained $1.00 by GGW Video. Again without my authorization on 12/21/06 my account was charged by GGW Video $26.98, which would be the monthly subscription fee if I had opened and account with GGW Video.  Now on 01/16/07 I was charged again the monthly fee of $26.98.

Vanessa of Dallas, TX (01/09/07)
I authorized only one shipment of the videos and paid once. Then the first of this month they went into my bank account and charged me $25.98 TWICE on one day. I have not recieved any movies or anything.  I can't get anybody to help me with canceling my subscription.

I now have a negative balance in at my bank and owe them money. I am so sorry for ever dealing with these people.

Debbie of Titusville FL (01/05/07)

Can't somebody get this stuff off the television? How is this permitted? It's presented like and looks like porn. I have young children who have seen this. It's available on several channels. How do you explain this to a child who wakes up in the night and turns on the TV. These Girls Gone Wild infomercials are bad for our society and serve no purpose other than to promote porn. Blanking out the private parts is a joke.

Merry of Sound Beach ,NY (01/05/07)
I was recording a Star Trek episode late at night to share with my teenager. I saw the commercial for the Girls Gone Wild Video. It was so raunchy, I am afraid to watch the program with my daughter because even on fast forward it would be indecent by any community standard I've ever heard of.

Dan of Northbrook, IL (01/05/07)
I thought it a nice birthday gift for a buddy of mine to get the double DVD set as seen on TV, but found that he was continually receiving many more videos every month! Basically, 2 or 3 a month. I thought it strange that I had only ordered 2 and he was getting more than I had paid for until I found that I was being charged between $25 and $40 for each set of videos that were being sent.

Upon finding that I was being continually charged 3 weeks a month for videos I had not asked for, I was contacted by the GGW and asked if I wanted more. I told them 'no' and to stop sending me the videos. They subsequently hung up on me. A week later they called again and the man went through a number of steps, reconfirming my home address and credit card information in order to cancel my subscription. Then I found that my friend had received another video!

I called them back, and was sent through the same process, this time I was given a cancel confirmation number and was told that they HAD to send me another set of videos as an end-order.  Upon getting them, the package was not self-addressed for me to send them back. I called the company again and was told that it was too late to return them for a refund. I have lost $83.96 each month that I was sent them videos that I never had asked for, over a period of 8 months = $671.68!

John of Romney, WV (12/29/06)
I saw your posting regarding the Girls Gone Wild commercials.  My problem is that any time my twin boys want to watch some late night television on vacation or weekends, they may be subject to a bombardment of inappropriate sexual content. Their commercials are over the top, and obviously target a specific gender in society.  HOWEVER, there's a large number of us that like to watch tv at night w/o this type of advertisement.

Kristine of Newton, IL (12/28/06)
I am paying over $50 a month for disgusting videos I did not order or sign up for in the first place.

They will not cancel the order - I have called and sent emails!  Over and over I have cancelled. I even sent them an email that if they sent any more or charged me again they were breaking the law. Still more videos.

Kurtis of Escondido, CA (12/21/06)
I have canceled 4 times.  2 times they just ignored my cancellation, and the other 2 times they stopped billing me for 1 month then continued.

I have sent back at least 6 packages!!!!

Michael of Branford, CT (12/18/06)
I only ordered two tapes for $9.99 but they sent tapes every month for about 6 months.  They charged my checking account each month even though I sent the tapes back unopened.  I have had no response to my complaints or demand for a refund.

My account was charged 24.95 per month for 12 months ($299.76).

Cheryl of Latrobe, PA (12/10/06)
My 10 yr old son was up one night watching tv, he was sick and had a fever. The Girls Gone Wild TV Infomercial came on, I was so embarrassed. Even though the private parts are blurred out it is terrible to let kids see what is going on.  Immoral.

I monitor my child's tv shows, but I never would have imagined something like that would be allowed on tv. It is even on basic cable now. This is something for pay-per-view.

Terry of Gray, LA (12/09/06)
I purchased the first set of dvds. After they began sending me more dvds and charging me more, I tried to cancel several times. I ended up having to cancel the card I used originally.

They call me everyday, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day. I have asked them to take my number off their call list but they still call.

Leonard of Fresno CA (12/07/06)
I ordered one video, but they signed me up for a subscription. I called 7 times before they finally cancelled that subscription. They later called me to sell me another video, I specifically said I do not want a subscription, are you sure this wont be a subscription? They said yes, it was just a one time order, no subscription. But here I am again being charged monthly. I've sent 5 videos back so far, but have not received credit for any of them. I have talked to them when they call me, I have also called them several times to cancel, but they always tell me that I have to call another number. Unfortunately no one ever answers that number, I just get a recording saying they are closed.

I've lost about 200 dollars to these thieves.

Anissa of Crete ,NE (11/29/06)
I have been receiving several phone calls from GGW after telling them to put me on the do-not-call list. I do not know how they got our number, because it is a private number. But even after being told this 3 times they continue to call everyday.

Today I told 2 people to take me off the call list, and not even 5 minutes later, they called back.  When speaking to the reps, they are rude and disrespectful.

Louis of Eastpointe, MI (11/08/06)
I ordered two DVDs for $9.99, and was subsequently charged for additional DVDs. I have been charged three times since Feb 2006. I can get no one to help me at the GGW customer support numbers.

I have almost a hundred dollars in charges for DVDs that I never ordered.

Bill of Owasso OK (11/07/06)
My son, a private in the U.S. Army and a combat veteran, ordered a package, and kept paying for other packages as they came in. After about 10 came, he called and cancelled. He had to give them a debit card number to get the order. After he cancelled, they charged another $6.99 through EFT to his bank account. He and I both called and complained and they finally said it was a mistake and they had corrected it. A day later, a charge for $66.98 came through via aft. I called them again, and a self proclaimed floor manager calling himself Tyler told me that he had personally handled my son's account and it was done right and asked why my son wasn't calling himself.

I said that he was being deployed back to Iraq and I was trying to help him, and that I am also his attorney. Tyler then said well tell your son to call when he gets back from Iraq, and then laughed and hung up on me.

We've been hung up on several times, we have been called stupid in many ways, and their people spend more time trying to let you know that they are smart than helping you. I called back today and asked them for the address for their service agent, and they gave me the same address where they take orders, and the corporate name - Mantra Entertainment, P.O. Box 150, Hollywood, CA 90078.

I am thinking of filing a small claims action in Oklahoma or Texas, and serving them by registered mail, and waiting to see if they will defend themselves. If they don't then I have to find a way to collect the judgment. This is about them ripping off service men who are deployed and cannot fight back.

Michael of Kennesaw GA (11/01/06)
I keep trying to cancel these videos but they keep sending them. They make it hard to impossible to cancel with them. I keep having to pay for these damn videos and keep putting return to sender when they come in the mail.

Phillip of Texarkana, AR (10/16/06)
I ordered 6 videos December 2005 for Christmas gifts. I have been receiving a new video every month since.

I have cancelled every month and nothing has stopped.  My card is continually being charged every month and I'm out over $250 when I shouldn't be.

Wanda of New Milford, CT (10/12/06)
I received a phone call on 10/12/06 @ 5:36pm from a person who said that he was calling from Girls Gone Wild Adult Video.  I stopped him right there & asked him to take me off their calling list. I received another call from them at 6:22pm and asked them again to take my name off of their list.

Something needs be done about this company soliciting sex videos by phone. I have a teenager in my home & do not think that it is appropriate for phone calls like this being made to any person's home.

Linda of Palm Springs, FL (09/26/06)
Ordered one trial video as gift. Cancelled when learned how underage girls are manipulated to do these things and how they get no money but Joe Francis gets billions.

NEVER received credit despite numerous attempts.

This is a greedy, shady operation.  I've given up trying to get my credit but I would give up more money to see that justice was done.

Alex of Honolulu, HI (09/14/06)
I ordered a set of dvd's (2 in the set) which cost $9.99. The tv commercial said "cancel anytime", so I emailed them a few days after I received the dvds. I asked them not to send anymore dvds and please take me off the monthly subscription list because I'm not interested.

About a month later, I received another package from them.

Dan of Vancouver, Canada (09/14/06)
Back in 2004 I was one of those who received unsolicited dvd's from Girls Gone Wild after agreeing to purchase one video for $9.95.

By the time I was able to stop them I had paid $68 over what was originally advertised.

Michael of Ankeny, IA (09/11/06)
I ordered the GGW dvd for a friend's birthday. I specifically asked to have my account cancelled after the shipment.  They told me to call in after I had received the shipment.   I did and was told there would be no more charges.

I have since received two consecutive months of charges, individually totaling $26.98. I have literally tried all different times of the day to call and cancel but I hear the same recording over and over and over. When you hit option 4 for returns and cancellations I have never once reached anyone.

I am fed up and I am seeking legal counsel in regards to this dilema.

Rob of Louisville, KY (09/06/06)
I bought a DVD about 2 to 3 years ago for a friend as a gift.  I have not bought anything from them since then.

Two months ago they started calling me almost every day - 2, 3 and even up to 5 times a day.  They won't stop calling.  I've talked to managers about this problem and everyone has assured me that it would stop, but it goes on every day.

Michael of Hinesville GA (08/21/06)
I had ordered a promotional video for just S&H, which was $6.99. Then, I got charged for $53.96 for July and August with nothing to show for it. I have sent an email to GGW support, but no response at this point.

Frederick of Huntsville, AL (08/16/06)
I was solicited on my private mobile phone number for a set of videos. I agreed to order but the price of the videos and return policy was misrepresented to me, the total charge to my credit card was $260.98.

I tried to cancel the order the same day and was told I could not, but was told several times that I could return the videos when received for a full refund. Two months later, when the package had not yet arrived, I called customer service.  After waiting on hold they told me they could not speak to me and would call me back. After several days they had not yet called back so I called again during normal business hours and was told the same thing. Again they did not call back.

I tried to email several customer service email addresses posted on their company website but these were kicked back saying the addresses did not exist. Finally a few days later I tried a different extension and got in touch with an operator who said my credit card would be refunded for the full amount. I waited a couple of weeks for the credit to show up and it did not. I tried to call again and was told again that they could not take my call. I still have not received a refund.

Alexander of Ft. Leavenworth, KS (08/13/06)
I recently purchased 2 DVD's from Girls Gone Wild, and a 3-day trail to their website, which has snow balled into costing me a little over $100 (as opposed to the $25 it was going to).  I did not cancel my 3-day subscription, so apparently they took it upon themselves to sign me up for the monthly subscription of around $30 a month, along with a subscription of GGW. I went online and cancelled, but apparently that wasn't enough.

I just looked at my bank account information, and saw my account was negative $24.  Seems a company called VV Direct had charged me $30. Apparently VV Direct is a sister company of GGW and when I had purchased 2 of their videos they gave my information to this 3rd party and they signed me up for another subscription.   which I do not want.

There has to be something terribly illegal with companies exchanging my credit card number and then committing charges on them.

Mitchell of Union City, GA (08/08/06)
I ordered three DVDs fromGGW approximately 4 weeks ago. My MasterCard has been charged and still I have not received the items that I have paid for. I would like Girls Gone Wild to send me the items or refund my money.

Patrick of West Chester, PA (08/07/06)
I phoned the GGW customer service number in July and explained that I had received two double orders (that they sent on two different occasions). I told "Robert" that I did not want any more tapes sent to me and he should cancel. He repeated this, so I assumed that I would not receive any more of their tapes.  August 3rd, I received another video with their label on in the package.

Bill of Glenpool, OK (08/05/06)
I was charged $16.98 for a $9.99 dvd plus $26.98 for a membership even though I canceled the membership in less than 30 days as required.  It took 8 weeks to receive the dvd that was not worth $9.99.  I e-mailed ggw and never got a reply, plus I phoned twice and was hung up on.

I was told I could not return the dvd and get my money back.

Javier of Mililani, HI (07/29/06)
I subscribed to get the 2 free videos then immediately wrote them an email saying I wanted to cancel.  Since then I have tried to cancel three more times.  I've been charged three times at $25 each and not received anything.

Now I am deployed and cannot go to their site to cancel ,much less complain.

John of Clemmons, NC (07/24/06)
I, like many others, received unwanted videos in the mail each month and was charged $25 each time.  Since I was having difficulties cancelling these shipments I refused shipment and had the videos 'returned to sender' by USPS.

When I called, after a few months without any credits for the returned videos, I was finally able to cancel but was told they would not credit me for the returned videos because I had no proof that I returned them. They claimed that USPS workers often steal the videos marked for 'return to sender' and many never make it back to them!

Bryan of Menomonee, Falls WI (07/12/06)
Girls Gone Wild started to call my house every weekday around 8pm. I have never ordered anything from them, and so I called them back to ask them to stop calling. They were rude and asked if I was going to order the videos. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they respond by saying they are in a meeting and will call later. The supervisor never called back but we continue to get harrassed every night by them.

I can not get any answer on how they got my number because I have never given my number to them or any other porn site.

David of Blacksburg, VA (07/11/06)
I was called and told I was approved for girls gone wild platinum memership. I placed the order ($14.95, I think) but never sent the videos.

I was charged and never received the product.. Some call this theft right??

Nick of Eden Prairie, MN (07/08/06)
I had bought some videos, 3 months ago, from their website, and ever since I've been getting charged $24.98 per month.  I'm thinking that's a subscription.  I'm getting charged but not receiving anything.

Geniva of Kenmore, WA (06/30/06)
We have NEVER ordered this company's product and do not understand why they continue to call several times a day.  This is after I personally calling to tell them I'm on the DNC list and to take my number off of their call list. They say they will, but then they turn around and continue to call my number up to 3-4 times a day!!!

Robert of Lake Worth, FL (06/28/06)
I have asked them over and over again to stop calling me and to cancel my account, but they call me at least once a day, sometimes three times a day.

They keep charging my credit card and sending me videos without my permission.

Robert of Salt Lake City UT (06/27/06)
I ordered a set of two promotional videos after seeing an add on television. I recieved the videos about a week later and was billed the $14.95 that the videos were advertized. Then a week or so later girls gone wild contacted me and said that i had been approved for the platinum membership. At this time i told them i was not interested in the free videos that this membership included. I also asked to be taken off of the call list. Shortly after i saw that i had been charged $170 on my debit card. I called and had a hard time even getting someone to talk to me and they pretty much told me they couldnt do anything to help me. Worst of all i still never recieved the videos that i was charged for, so now i have no product to return for a refund.

Chris of Jackson WY (06/22/06)
I keep getting aggressive phone calls. I asked to be removed from the list and the woman told me that "I need to finish what I started." Which I guess means, they own me now because I ordered hats for a bachelorette party. Do I need to cancel m y credit card. This was four years ago.

Freddie of Brandon MS (06/21/06)
Initially, I ordered the promotional offer in July of 2005 for 14.99. After receiving these videos, I called and cancelled. No problem. I was again solicited by ggw in February of 2006. I clearly stated that i was not interested in their product. However, I have been charged not only the 14.99 again but 24.98 for the past 3 months. No videos, and of course, no refunds. I have emailed ggw several times -- no response. I have also contacted ggw customer service several times for refunds only to encounter rude representatives. To this date, they are still charging my debit card, refuse to refund these fraudulant charges, but keep calling to send more videos (and mind you, I am on the DNC list!).

So far to date, I am out approximately 100.00.

Roger of Santa Monica, CA (06/14/06)
I ordered one video but they kept sending me more without my permission. I called to complain and was told to send them back, then I received more videos.

Al of Baton Rouge, LA (06/09/06)
I ordered several videos and gave my visa card number. I called yesterday to cancel the subscription and they said okay.  Last night I had another $25 charge from them. I called back today to cancel again and they asked if I had a reason. I told them that I just wanted to cancel. They said I was a preferred customer and could review dvds for free. I told them that I wanted nothing else sent to my address and nothing else charged to my card.

Tonight I have another charge, this time for $35.  Do I have to cancel my card to stop this?

Nicholas of Madison WI (06/06/06)
I purchased a video in August of 2005. Shortly after receiving the video I moved. Girls Gone Wild continued to send videos to my old address using my old card (which is no longer listed at that address). I have e-mailed on four occasions and have called twice for assistance. The e-mails were ignored, and apparently so was my phone conversation. The person I talked to about getting a refund assured me that the ONLY way to do this was to have all of the videos I had ordered sent out to me for me to return to them. I asked why this was necessary as I just wanted a refund and he said there was no other way. This was 5 weeks ago, still no videos and no refunds. I tried calling them again today and was given to an answering service who would not let me talk to anyone or speak to a supervisor. At this point I am out $25 for 9 videos I never received. Also, I am receiving about 3 to 4 calls a day from them. When I answer the phone I get a meesage that says, "Please stay on the line, I have an important message for you..... I was unable to reach someone, I will call back later." I was told when I called that they would remove me from their call list (I am on the DNC list) and I still receive their calls.

I have lost approximately $225 in video costs, as welll as $120 in overdraft fees as I was not anticipating a charge last September.

J of Houston, TX (06/05/06)
I have been trying to cancel my membership for 3 months. After numerous calls I keep being told "our computers show that your account has been cancelled".

They keep sending videos and charging my credit card!

Jon of Columbus MS (06/01/06)
After ordering 2 videos 1.5 years ago, GGW has once again charged my account without authorization. I called to get a refund, and they said that was against policy. I would have to wait for the new videos to show up, and then send them back. However, I have moved and they had the wrong shipping and billing address. I asked to speak to the supervisor, but they said there was only one and she was busy, I held for 10 minutes and then they said I would have to call back. Upon calling back, they told me there was only 1 manager and HE was busy!! I asked to speak to the alledged verification service or hear the alledged taped conversation and they said they could not produce it. They suggested I file a police report. I have gotten the phone records from my phone company and can prove that I did not call them, and they did not call me. Any help would be appreciated.

This instance I lost $110.98. However, this is not the first time they have charged me without authorization. I just could not take $110.98!

Felix of Clovis, NM (05/26/06)
I've been calling customer service for several months trying to get the subscription cancelled.  I either get hung up on, or a message telling me they're closed. This month I was charged twice and the price is increasing.

I only wanted one video, but I've spent almost $100 on somewething that I don't want.

Omar of Coppell, TX (05/17/06)
I saw an ad on TV for 2 videos for $9.99. I went on line, put in all my info, and purchased them. I paid extra for the express shipping, but didn't receive them until 3 weeks later. I called GGW and asked them to refund my money for the express shipping.  They said they would (but I have never received the money).

I called GGW a couple of weeks later to cancel my subscription.  The person on the phone said they did, but I'm still receiving videos and being charged almost $25 each month.

They keep pulling money out of my bank account for these videos that I don't want.

Jeannie of Geneva, FL (04/27/06)
On Feb. 6th, I ordered the ggw video and paid extra for the express shipping as it was a birthday gift and I wanted it to arrive on time. The videos did not arrive until almost 4 weeks later. Now, they are sending additional unrequested videos and charging my visa card.

At first I thought this was just an oversite, now I realize it is an on-going scam.  So far I have been over charged $24.99 twice.

Steven of Westchester, IL (04/27/06)
I ordered a 2-DVD set when I saw a commercial for the Girls Gone Wild films. I saw the fine print on the website about being enrolled in the "monthly video program" so I sent out a cancellation letter the same day. It did not work.

I was later called by a customer sales associate who told me that if I took delivery of six (6) videos from their hardcore section, and then sent them back for a refund, I'd never hear from them again.   So, I did just that, plus I wrote three letters: (1) to the Attorney General of Illlinois asking her to be ready to help me if GGW did not comply with my request, (2) a letter of complaint to the BBB, and (3) a letter requesting cancellation to GGW.

I was given my refund, but now the company calls me every day and I want the phone calls, aggravation and harassment to stop.

Paul of Ridgeway, VA (04/25/06)
In December of 2005 I placed an order for 2 of the $9.99 TV offer for Christmas gag gifts. A month later, I started receiving unwanted phone calls from GGW, and as of April 14, 2006 I have received 43 calls from this so-called company.

When I answer the phone its computer automation saying “I have been trying to reach you, please wait”. Part of the time the message goes on to say “I cannot reach the person you need to speak too; I try again later”, and then hangs up.  If I call right back, they are closed.  When I do get GGW rude customer service, I get the same line, “what is your number, we will add you to our Do Not Call list”, but the phones calls don’t STOP!

I have filed 32 online complaints against them to the Do Not Call Registry and called the FTC twice to report what this company is doing. I called the Better Business Bureau of CA and they told me they had 536 complaints against GGW, and are not a member of the BBB.  GGW has an F rating with the BBB, the worst rating a company can have.

John of Desoto, MO (04/24/06)
We just got a new cell phone and have been getting calls from this business 3 and 4 times daily!!  We are charged for the minutes and don't know how to stop them.  We have never had any contact with this business before.

Mike of Riva, MD (04/21/06)
They continue sending videos and when I return them, there is no credit to my account.  I will be closing that account to prevent any further debits from GGW.  So far it has cost me $85 for the one $10 tape I originally ordered.

Lena of Troutdale, OR (04/19/06)
My ex stole my credit card and ordered videos from GGW. I took him to court and won, so he had to pay for the videos. But they kept coming! I finally got GGW to stop sending and charging for videos by having my bank cancel their payments. The videos stopped coming.

Here is my problem.... For the past several months I have been recieving phone calls from GGW EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!  Today, for instance, I have received 4 phone calls, so far. I fully expect there will be several more by the end of the evening.

I have called the numbers back and reached someone who told me that I would be removed from the contact list. I have done this between ten and twenty times. The calls have increased. THEY WILL NOT STOP CALLING ME!!!!

Thomas of Macomb, MI (04/10/06)
I ordered one video from them and didn't know that they automatically signed me up for a monthly order of around $20 - which is, again, automatically charged to my credit card.  When I tried to return the video I was on the phone with some guy that wouldn't let me say anything about returning them because he had so many promo's and new videos that I could order.  He kept ignoring me and kept trying to sell sell sell!

After that conversation I hadn't heard from them for about a month, then the calls started. They would call three times a day (between 8am and 10pm).  I keep telling them to stop calling and to take me off of their list .

Alan of Cottonwood, CA (04/08/06)
Girls Gone Wild calls my house at least 4 times a day sometimes more.  I have a 14 year old son that does not need to be subjected to this, let alone we just don't want them calling any more. We have never contacted them in anyway and somehow they took it upon themself to just call us.

It has got to stop.

Kristel of Rantoul, IL (04/04/06)
I initially purchased the GGW videos as a joke Christmas gift for my boyfriend.  I did not KNOWINGLY AGREE to have more videos sent me every few weeks at almost triple the initial cost nor did I KNOWINGLY AGREE for these to be charged to my credit card each time. Nor did I KNOWINGLY AGREE for a monthly membership.  Nor was I ever issued a username/password for any such thing (their own database couldn't locate a user name/password for me). .

A phone number was a MANDATORY FIELD in order to make the initial purchase.  It did NOT mention that their representatives would be calling me all the time for me to buy yet even more videos.

Also the GGW representatives have made FRAUDULENT/MISLEADING statements in order to make the sale. They wanted to send me 5 more "Complimentary Videos" for just $55.00. How is that Complimentary?  When I asked, "If it's complimentary, what's the $55 for?" and was told it was for "shipping".  Later I was told it was for the videos themselves....again - that is "complimentary" how ???

Todd of Lima, OH (04/04/06)
Somehow GGW got a hold of my cell phone and I get 3 calls a day.  I am being charged 1-minute airtime for every call they make.

Andrew of Greenville NC (04/04/06)
Girls gone wild calls an average of 2-3 times per day trying to sell me their dvds. I made a purchase one time, and attempted to stop the subscription many times afterward, finally having to call their central office. (the internet method of cancellation was ineffectual three months in a row) These recent phone calls are aggressive sales people who are rude when I ask them to stop calling. They will not give me a manager, and the last gentleman, when he said, "what if I offered you just the shipping," answered my reply ("what if you stopped calling me") with "what if you hang up in my face?!" and hung up on me. That is a typical exchange; alas they continue to call.

In trying to cancel, I ended up with 3 unwanted DVD's. Now I find myself harassed by unwanted phone calls, though I ask them to stop calling each and every time they call.

Simon of Hermosa Beach, CA (03/31/06)
A telemarketer called and said they were sending me eight movies, with no obligation to buy them, and wanted to confirm my billing address. I said I did not want them to send me anything because I did not want the hassle of sending the movies back. Telemarketer hung up before this was fully conveyed.

I know this company has a history of billing people and sending them stuff they did not order.

Zachary of Orem, UT (03/31/06)
I ordered and received the promotional $9.99 offer I saw on TV.  A couple months later I started receiving monthly videos at $25 bucks a pop. I was never told about the subscription.

One day I was called by GGW and this guy tried to sell me more videos. I politely told him "No" several times and then he just hung up on me. Very rude.

I am now trying to cancel my subscription, what a nightmare. I have tried calling the customer rep line several times, the reps keep hanging up on me. I am out about $100 for unwanted videos.

Michael of Elgin, IL (03/27/06)
The problem started when they called me and told me I won three DVDs and all I had to do was pay for shipping.  Now GGW keeps sending me videos that I did not order. I keep sending them back, but I don't get a refund.

I will not call them by phone because of their pressure tactics.  I have email them, but get no response.

Troy of Autryville, NC (03/23/06)
We have been steadily returning the videos sent to us by this company and have tried canceling our order. Each month they continues to charge my checking account for $24.98 and we cannot get them to stop. At every attempt to contact them via email and phone, the problem continues.

Over the last year we have lost 100's of dollars for a product we do not want and have sent back.

Sean of Lincoln, NE (03/21/06)
I ordered a DVD I saw on a commercial for $10.  They sent it to me and then continued to send me DVDs every month, charging my account $25 each time.

I called customer support and was put on hold for 10 minutes.  I told them to stop sending me DVDs but they haven't.

I've returned all the extra DVDs they sent me and haven't received any refunds.

John of Toledo, OH (03/21/06)
While fighting for my country in Iraq, I was charged for videos that I didn't order.  My family had to work with the bank to get the case opened, and then the money was given back.

My bank told me it was a scam.

Eric of Pullman, WA (03/18/06)
I ordered 2 videos for $15 from GGW and now they keep sending me videos at $25 each.

I have been drained for $225 and thanks to them, I might not be able to pay my tuition.

Jim of Lompoc, CA (03/16/06)
I ordered a single DVD from a TV commercial and paid for it with my credit card.  It was terrible.

On my next credit card statement, a $26.62 charge had been applied. When I called GGW, they told me it was because I had ordered a subscription (which I did NOT). I told them to cancel my alleged subscription and asked WHERE I had supposedly signed up for a subscription.  The rep was unable to tell me, but did say my next DVD was on the way and that I couldn't get a refund until I returned it.

After another three weeks, the video arrived (it couldn't have been sent before I made that call!) and I returned it the same day. That was about three weeks ago and I am still waiting. WHAT A SCAM!

How can GGW continue to stay in business when their business is obviously ripping people off???

Roberto of College Station, TX (03/16/06)
GGW calls me a couple of times a day, every single day. When I answer the phone, I ask them to please stop calling me. It is a hassle to screen my calls, and embarrasing to talk to them while in the company of a friend, etc.

Kayla of Spencer OK (03/10/06)
For at least two months I have been getting a phone call for "Jonathan" from 1-800-689-3666.  After telling them a couple of times that he no longer has my phone number, I got aggrivated and called the number back.  I got the GGW recording!

I talked to a rep and calmly asked them to remove my phone number from their computer. That afternoon I received two phone calls!

The next day I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor, the rude rep told me there was not one available! I have been hung up on several times and just want the calls to stop.

Crystal of Calgary, Canada (03/09/06)
GGW is overcharging my credit card every month for more than I agreed to. I have gotten three videos and I have payed every month for the last six?

I can't afford this and I do not want to be paying for something I'm not getting.

Michael of Kissimmee, FL (03/09/06)
I ordered a two-video set from Girls Gone Wild for $16.98 and a three-video set from SpringBreak for $8.95. As my better judgement dictated, I read the fine print and felt safe with the "Cancel any time" message on the front page and within the fine print. Immediately upon the video sets arrivals I emailed both suppliers with a request to cancel all/all subscriptions in my name..., it never happen. I've emailed each supplier on three different occassions since the arrival of my intial order, with having "returned to sender" each subsequent video as it arrived (unopened of course). I'll be contacting my bank tomorrow with having four unauthorized deductions charged to my Visa C.C. to this date.

Jeffrey of Glen Burnie, MD (03/08/06)
I ordered the introductory video of Girls Gone Wild for $9.95 then they just kept coming.  I am now being charged $24.95 for each one and sometimes they send 4 a month.  I have not authorized them to charge my account for any additional movies other than the one I ordered.

I have been sending them all back but they still keep charging me for them. Today a represenative from GGW called my house to offer me a special rate and when I began to tell her that I have not authorized them to charge my account and I don't want the movies, she hung up on me!

My bank account has been overdrawn because of this.

Emerson of Savannah, GA (02/09/06)
I ordered a video from the website and was unaware that I was being added as a member to a video mailing scheme where my credit card is being charged $24.98 every month and they mail a video to me without my asking.

I'm a student paying for school by joing the Army. I don't have money to spend on girly videos. I was under the impression that I was simply ordering one video from GGW at that one point in time.

Jeremy of Marysville OH (9/18/03):
I ordered a video off the tv offer for $10 and every month now I receive a video and they charge my credit card $25 and I do not want the videos. I've tried contacting them to cancel it.

H. I. of Las Vegas, NV (8/4/05):
I placed an order with Girls Gone Wild on June 18, 2005 for the promotional offer of $9.95 + priority delivery (approximately $12.00). After a month, when I never received the order I called to find out the status of the order.

The customer service representative I talked to was so rude it was almost unbelievable. He informed me that the order had been returned to them, which I didn’t understand because I never received it to return it. He then began a long, “used car salesman” pitch about buying all the videos for a certain price. When I declined, I actually believed he called me stupid! Great customer service!

My original order was supposed to be delivered in 7-10 business days, but it was not. I called back on August 4, 2005 and spoke to Tracy (#012) who informed me that she would again ship it to me. With the rudeness I have come to expect from Girls Gone Wild, she began the used car salesman pitch and when I cut her off, telling her I had heard it before, she hung up.

I have been charged twice on my credit card and I have not received anything in return.

Lance of Saint Paul MN (9/29/03):
I called and cancelled my subscription. They keep charging my account and sending tapes. I called again to cancel. Same thing. How can they get away with this? Their customer service people are rude. I had one guy offer me the 4 remaining tapes for $9.95. I called back and another offered me the 3 remaining tapes at $29.99. What's wrong with this?? Geez. They're draining my bank account.

Paula of Spokane WA (9/24/03):
I received a phone call from GGW. The person, a male, stated that Kyle, my son, had purchased two dvd's seven months ago and they just got in the product and wanted my credit card number and said it would be $4.99 for shipping. The guy sounded funny and I felt like it was a scam. He would not give the name of the so called dvd's and only stated the name of the business as GGW.

I refused to give him my credit card number and also asked for a phone number, which he refused to give me but I got it off the caller ID. My phone is unlisted and my son said he never heard of this place and did not order any dvd's.

Mitchell of Orlando FL (9/16/03):
Hello. I am only 15 and I keep receiving phone calls that when I call back say, "Hello you have reached Girls Gone Wild." If I do manaage to pick it up, someone asking for a guy named, Vernon, keeps calling me. This has been going on for a couple a months. Is there anyway that you can stop them from calling me, because otherwise I know no good can come from this company calling a 15 year old.

John of Folsom CA (9/12/03):
I have returned several Girls Gone Wild DVD's now, for the same reasons as everyone else. I never agreed to receive any of these movies. They have charged me $25 for each movie and I have returned them all. I even returned my original purchase and I am now asking for all my money back. I have been harassed, ignored and taken advantage of. I am out close to $100.00 and my account has bounced two checks now. I can't believe a business like this can profit innocent consumers. Where is the consumer protection agency?

John, don't take this the wrong way but consumers need to think twice before giving their debit card number to just any pretty face. The first-line consumer protection agency is the one inside your head.

Winston of Tallahassee FL (8/26/03):
My check card was billed an additional time at four times the initial advertised rate without my consent. Evidentally Girls Gone Wild has a policy to enlist one-time buyers in a subscription service where they repeatedly bill the consumer without permission.

My card was billed an additional $24.98 which caused my checking account to have insufficient funds to clear another transaction of mine. This resulted in a $30.00 fee from my bank. For a friend who also ordered from Girls Gone Wild, he had ten unsolicited transactions to his account which he was unsuccessful in stopping in time and had to close his bank account and stop his card.

Bill of Saugus CA (4/18/03):
I ordered the initial videos at 2 for $9.99 from a TV promotion. After receipt of the initial videos, more videos then arrived unsolicited each month with no invoice or explanation of charges or otherwise. When I received my bank statement there were unauthorized debits to my account of $26.62 for each video I had received. When I attempted to return them and recover the costs I was told that I could not return any video that had been in my possession for 30 days, whether it had been opened or not.

When I told the company I had not requested the subsequent videos I was informed that there was an oral disclaimer in the TV ad that said I would receive a video each month to preview. However, the TV ad does not state the length of the preview period nor the cost of the subsequent videos, nor did I ever receive such information in writing from the company. I have now sent a letter requesting my subscription be cancelled.

I am on a fixed budget and the unauthorized withdrawals from my account have had the effect of increasing my financial burden. I also had bounced checks since I did not know that I was being charged $26.62 per video until I received my monthly statement.

Michael of Vallejo CA (3/12/03):
In the past, I ordered promotional tapes from Girls Gone Wild. I told them that I only wanted the tapes I ordered and I did not want their monthly tapes. I continued to receive individual tapes and have been billed via credit card. I have disputed these charges on my Mastercard. They have advised me that they cannot stop payments.

Al from GGW customer service (310) 566-1063 has said they sent me 3 tapes. I only received 2 and wrote return to sender on both tapes the next day and sent. Al told me that since I didn't pay for shipping and handling, they did not receive the tape within 30 days, therefore I was getting billed. I don't think I should be billed for not paying for shipping and handling for something that I didn't order.

The price of the tapes are $26.62 each. The promotional tapes I bought was at $9 - $10 and I adder other tapes that I ordered, but I told them I didn't want the every month tape that they send. Al told me that I will be billed for the 3rd tape next month. In the meantime, he has already billed me for 2 previous tapes. He has already agreed to cancel my subscription. I complained to Citibank (mastercard), but they only froze the first account and told me to settle the matter with GGW personally and contact them if I couldn't.

Now I have a new charge for GGW for a tape I did not receive. The bill is on my 3/7/03 summary for last month's tape that I didn't receive. I'm being charged for 3 tapes. I only received 2. I didn't order any of these tapes and I had it return to sender. I'm getting charged $26.62 each tape.

David of Damascus MD (11/7/02):
I ordered 2 videos from GGW. I received those videos. They continued to send me other videos which I did not ask them to send. They have charged these videos to my bank account without my knowledge.

My bank account has been overdrawn. This has resulted in late fees from my other creditors. Also to get my money back I will have to mail th ease videos to them. This will also cost me more money. Also I have had to make a long distance phone call to them which will cost me even more. They have told me that they will not repay me for these charges. I did not ask for these other videos and I made that very clear to them.

I know that this is not much money. But this is not money that I had to spend. I am on a very tight budget and it will take me a couple of months to recover from this. This has been embarrassing to me and it has hurt my credit. Overall after I return the videos this will cost me in the neighborhood of $100.00.

Steve of Bowling Green KY (9/29/02):
I responded to a television ad to purchase the College Girls Gone Wild DVD in July. About a month later, I received a second DVD which I had not ordered. I returned it the same day, marking out my name and address, but leaving the bar code clearly visible. I then called customer service which was referred to the same company that handles Playboy videos. The customer rep. said that a refund would be arriving in a couple of months and took me off the mailing list.

As of the first of October, I have not received a refund on my Visa card.
