More about Modeling & Talent Agencies

Sunn of Madera, CA January 7, 2009

I came across hollywoodprofiles.com and they offered me a 1.95 fee for castings searchs. Little did I know that I was being robbed. This company was charging me 49.95 a month for services I did use and did not know about. I had hundreds of dollares taken out of my account. I am angry and feel violated.

I have had overdraft fees on my account do to this withdrawl from my bank acount.

Sharon of Long Beach, CA December 1, 2008

I see a charge on my credit card for 49.95 that I just received for October 28, 2008 that I could not understand. When I called the place the woman told me that I agreed to pay a monthly fee of 49.95 when I signed up for only a limited exposure service of 1.95 one time fee. She insisted that I did not and that it was very obvious from the web site what I was getting into but it was not!

As this is December 1, 2008, that means I am out a November fee also for something I did not even use. For that price they were offering other paying customers all types of assistance but I have heard nothing from them since they received my credit card number.

All I could get is a cancelation number from the place and that means I was charged for 99.90 for services that were not rendered or desired for October and November of 2008.

This was done through the internet. I thought I could make some extra cash by working as a movie extra here in Texas. But instead it did not turn out what i expected ,I sign up for1.95 Fee,they sent me an e-mail that my order was received on 4-07-08. Then I got another e-mail saying to look for my membership kit materials in the next few days, then it said to check my in box in the next 24to48 hours for your login and password. Never heard anything back in response after that last e-mail. So I was checking my bank account on-line and found out that they had authorize another transaction fee of 49.95.

I called them on 05-05-08, talk to that operator 7023, she said i was past the 14 day trial, and the money was NON-REFUNDABLE. I told them that I was not interested and to cancel my membership, but they would not refund the 49.95 Membership Fee. What makes me mad is they did not notify me before making that transaction.Plus she said there was mention of it in the Terms and Agreement, which I did not see.

Plus I told her I wanted to talk to a Supervisor, or Manager, but of course they were out of the office had to leave a message. From now I am going to rethink twice about ordering on-line. I am thinking about taking them to small claims, I could use you input back on this situation, I am a single mom living pay check to check.

I need that MONEY BACK, could use it to pay a bill. I feel I was violated, and done wrong.
