All My Sons Moving

Read All My Sons' response to some of its customers' complaints.

Susan of Alpharetta, GA July 15, 2009

All My Sons did a fantastic job with my move. I had their sales consultant come out and give me a quote and she was right on target. Sometimes over the phone, people don't give an accurate accounting of what they have to move and then get mad when the move costs more. The guys were courteous and respectful and handled my items with care.

Kelley of Charlotte, NC July 8, 2009

Would not recommend All My Sons as your moving company. I was quoted one price and charged another. Then when they finished early they refused to refund the extra time I was owed. NOT A HONEST COMPANY!!!

Jason of Dallas, GA July 5, 2009

This like above was the worst experience I have ever had with moving period. These 2 guys that showed up were beyond lazy and rude. They came in took 1 load down to their truck came back up and said they needed to use the bathroom, then after each one used the bathroom they then requested some ice and water to fill their cups with. They proceded to take a break and drink their drinks before starting again. Keep in mind I'm paying 99.00 an hour for this service.

So right away my wife goes to another room to call their supervisor about this , and he says he'll take care of it. Then the supervisor calls the lead mover right there in front of us and talks to him. After he gets off the phone, the guy tells me I shouldnt have called in on him and I should have told him if I had a problem with the job he was doing. Then persisted to slow down even more just out of spite. From there he made smart ass comments to me the rest of the move saying I was mean and woulnt allow them to have a drink of water during a hot day of moving. I kept saying I dont care if u have a drink of water but after 1 load down to your truck you needed a break???

This attitude of his continued the entire move and was very embarrasing for me and my wife. The whole thing costed me 550.00 for 4 hours of lazy sub par work, and they scuffed up my walls in my new house moving stuff up stairs.... Word to the Wise DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! All my sons Moving is the worst run moving company Ever !!!

Eloise of Conyers, GA June 23, 2009

I sent an email out to companies relating to a move I was making. I selected All My Sons Moving & Storage and received the worst service anyone could imagine. This was a very unprofessional service and I still have yet to receive a return call relating to the damage done to my property.

K. of Denver, CO June 9, 2009

The movers from All My Sons in Denver showed up on time, and Ricky, the "lead, " reeked of marijuana. He said "Any problems, we stop the move immediately and reschedule." Well, when was the last time YOU could reschedule a move? I couldn't--I had that day to move, and that day only. So, I let them continue. I had made it clear that my armoire, a beautiful piece of burled maple with delicate Asian legs, was very dear to me (I saved for over 6 months for it, and it's the only really nice, new, undamaged thing I owned). Ricky dropped it off of the truck, smashing the trim, ripping the legs off and scratching and gouging it. I started crying, and he had the [nerve] to complain to his boss that I was "stressing him out!" They took my armoire to be repaired by an "expert repairer." It was gone a month. It was supposed to be delivered on 6/4/09, but they never showed up. I called the office the next morning (6/5/09) and spoke to B. Andrews, the office manager. Andrews started raising his voice to me because I was causing so much trouble over my armoire. He said, "I don't think you know who I am! I know who YOU are. I know where you live. I know that you live alone. I know you a little girl and I'm going to come and SEEEEE you. You think you a big bad [expletive]...I'll show you a bad [expletive]. I'm going to come over to your house and teach you a lesson." I was scared to death and called the Denver police, filed a report, will be filing a restraining order against him. The officer said that they get multiple complaints every month about Vic (the owner) and his gang--that they quote one price then hold furniture hostage until you pay double or more, that they damage furniture then try to get away with not fixing it, that they threaten people. They tried to deliver my armoire today, and all the "expert repairer" had done was screw the legs on--the gouges, scrapes, dents and trim were unrepaired. My armoire is ruined. I made them take it back and fix it again. I'll be filing a Better Business Bureau complaint, and contacting the media (once my armoire is repaired) and probably suing them. In the meantime, I'm sleeping with my gun. Keep this company and its scumbag employees out of your house! I have an upset stomach and headaches because I'm afraid of being raped by someone from their company. I'm afraid to fall asleep at night. These guys are nuts.

JESSICA of CINCINNATI, OH June 7, 2009

ALL MY SONS MOVING COMAPANY- CINCINNATI IS A TOTAL JOKE!!!! PLEASE PLEASE DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR HEART FROM STRESS!!! Approximately two weeks before my move I contacted 'ALL MY SONS MOVING COMPANY IN CINCINNATI'and spoke to Eddie.Despite the fact that this moving company quoted me the highest rate /hr (109.00 plus truck fee- 65) out of all the 4 companies that I called, I was impressed by the way Eddie explained everything to me. I felt that I was talking to a professional person and i got off the phone confident that I was going to utilize a credible and reputable company to move.Important to note is that I was moving within the city approximately 28 miles away from my previous address.

Well, moving date 06/01/09 arrived and I decided to call the company at 8:30 am to confirm that they were coming and to find out when and the methods of payment approved.Guess who i spoke with? EDDIE!! He confirmed that he was sending me a three- men truck, and that it would be arriving between 12-4pm. "Great" i said to myself and just continued packing and waiting. Mind you I have a 15-month old baby.

Little did I know that the worst day in my life was about to happen. Around 12:15pm, I received a call from 'ALL MY SONS' and the person on the other end informed me that they wouldn't be able to move my property that day because I had cancelled and never confirmed!!! As you can imagine I was perplexed! How could this be? I had just spoken to Eddie the same morning and he had comfirmed my move! I informed the person that there must be some kind of mistake because I was waiting on the movers. Oddly enough, he stated my last name and address and I said, "yeah that's me but I think someone made a mistake" all he could do was say, "sorry, we don't have a truck for you today. Maybe we can send you one tomorrow"Are you kidding me? Ofcourse at this time my emotions were in all directions. Needless to say, i was stressed out!!! Thank God for Uhaul (Now this is the company to go with!!--Good job Uhaul!)I called Uhaul and I was able to get a good size truck that same day and thank God I have wonderful friends who pitched in and saved the day!Total cost for the move with Uhaul- 78. Way cheaper than freaking 'ALL MY SONS MOVING COMPANY' What a joke!

Anyway, that's my experience. Please just be careful with this company. they are unprofessional, unkind and very inconsiderate to their customers.

jesse of stuarts draft, VA June 1, 2009

I requested a second email of the estimate and never recieved one. Movers came with one truck that was not able to handle all furniture. I filled out a form listing 3 bedroom furniture home which is what I had. I moved some items myself. Moving employees used foul language even using the ---- word on several occassions. Movers had to make second trip (local move) and ask me if they needed too (duh). They acted upset for needing to do this.

I was then charged a fuel surcharge for excess time (over 8 hours) even though I paid time and half for this. I heard this myself from the "person" on other end of phone while he talked with the employee. They came from Richmond (70 miles). Although I was dissatisfied with service no one has called. The movers knew of my displeasure.I was asked to fill out a survey at time move had ended. Why didn't they just leave it with me to fill out and return?

Tammie of Boise, ID April 10, 2009
