| Red Ball Van Lines | ||
We
moved from CA to NC last July. We
had a non binding bid of $3900. The
total bill came to nearly $5000; they said it weighed more than they
thought. The
estimator admitted that it was his fault that the estimate was too low.
This is a man who has been in the industry for some forty years.
I find a low ball bid that is off by 25% to be excessive.
I have paid 10% over the estimate when the goods were delivered.
If they can't estimate better than that they should eat it. I
should mention that during the move they backed their huge truck into my
car and did $1200 worth of damage.
Their insurance company quickly paid me by check to repair the
car. They did release the
cargo for 10% over the bid. But
now they are about to turn me over to a credit bureau.
They want their money. |
