More about Auto Sales ...

General Motors is putting some slow-selling Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, GMC, Saab and Saturn vehicles on sale in March through April 3.

The sale does not include Cadillac and Hummer brands.

Consumers will be offered zero percent financing for as long as 36 months and reduced-rate financing for as long as 72 months on some models, as well as $1,000 in customer cash that can be used with the lower-rate financing.

The Saab sales promotion is a little difference. Called "Jet into Spring," Saab is providing dealers $750 bonus cash on 2006 and 2007 models invoiced to dealers before Dec. 15.

The GM Sales includes 2006 and 2007 models and every Pontiac except the Solstice roadster. The Chevrolet Cobalt, HHR, Aveo, Malibu and Malibu Maxx, Equinox crossover, Tahoe and Suburban are all part of the sale.

At GMC, the Yukon, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali and Denali XL SUVs are on sale. The Buick Lucerne and LaCrosse sedans qualify.

The Saturn Vue crossover, Ion and new Aura sedan are on sale as well.

GM is including any 2006 and 2007 GMT800 truck, GMC half-ton extended-cab and heavy-duty pickup, and all new GMT900-series Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra full-sized pickups.

The 2007 model GM vehicles are covered under GM's 5-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty.
