Chrysler Recalls Dodge Journey Crossovers |

|
June 18, 2008
The recalled Dodge Journeys are equipped with a 3.5-liter engine. NHTSA reported that the engine wiring harness on affected Dodge Journey models may contact the left transaxle mount. "Damage to the wiring harness could result in an engine compartment fire," the agency warned. Dealers will check the engine wiring harness for damage and wiring will be repaired as needed. The wiring harness will be secured away from the left transaxle mount, according to NHTSA. Chrysler has not announced an owner notification schedule for the recall. The automaker became aware of the problem with the Dodge Journey 3.5-liter engine during a vehicle audit. Dodge Journey owners can contact Chrysler at (800) 853-1403 for further information.
