On August 9th, 2000 I ordered a weight loss product for $179.00 and placed the order on my credit card. After several weeks of not receiving the product I called and was either told that it was on "back order" and then another time "oh it was sent out, we're going to have to track it."
After several months of this, I called and told the company to cancel my order and credit my credit card. I was told this would happen and would show up in a few days. After a month I called AGAIN. The story this time was that the company that was handling sending in the credits had taken off with all their money and I would have to contact my credit card company.
Now my credit card company says that it's been over 60 days since I ordered the product, therefore they can't refund my money! I hadn't even recieved the product. I feel this is fraud! All a company has to do is wait the 60 days so the credit card company won't credit the card and they're $179.00 richer!
I am out $179.00 plus interest on my credit card. I cannot afford to just throw $179.00 away. I have been very upset that the credit card company and the Consumer Response Solutions have not even bothered to contact me. I have called several times and been either put on hold for over 20 minutes or the phone wasn't answered. I have also written dispute letters to the credit card company. I'm very upset and would like something done!
