Weight Loss News

My wife was interested in trying the Nutrisystem after she saw too many ads on tv, so she went online trying to find as much info as she can before deciding to join their program. As she was not convinced yet, she left her info to contact her. Meanwhile i was doing searches about the company and their business and i was lucky to check this web site before she made any decision to join their program.

I am so greatful to this web site, they saved me alot of money and headaches. The company mailed my wife so many pictures of costomers who presumably lost weight through their program and so many forms to fill out and some coupons. But with the knowledge we had about their company she didnt join and after two weeks someone from the company called her and try to convince her to join and she made it clear she dont wanna be cause of all the complaints about their policies and food and the whole company and she even adviced the guy to look at the consumer affairs web site to read all kind of complaints people had left about them and his answer was: we changed the whole customer representative departement and we no longer have any problem with any customer.

This happened like six months ago and I can see right now that it was a lie trying to convince my wife to join. My advice to anyone who wants to join their program even after reading this and he is not convinced: dont use your credit card, get a gift card for whatever you gonna pay for the first order this way if you like the program then reload your gift card and buy again and if you dont they cant charge your gift card as there be with no fund on it.

I fully expected to not like every meal, but i did not expect that the food would be nothing like what was presented on television, not even close and that seems like false advertising to me. However, that being said if it tasted ok then i could forgive the misrepresentation of the food but most of it was not good some were ok at best.

I will be throwing out at least 2.5 weeks worth of their food and a large chunk of my money along with it. I get that they couldn't sell nutrisystem on t.v. if they showed what the food really looked like, but to show food that they don't sell (at least in canada anyway), well that is just wrong.

A lot of disappointment as it took me awhile to get up the courage and mind set to start a diet as well as put up the money to get it. For once i was determined to succeed and then to fail because a company sent me basically dog food to eat was extremely deflating.

We've been trying for 6 months to get Nurtisystem to STOP sending product. My wife signed up on line in June, 2008, signing up for a buy one month get one week free offer. She tried to stomach largely inedible food in the name of doing the right thing. In Aug., she called to complain and was told they had signed her up for a 6 month program. She asked to cancel. They refused. She then received 2 orders in Aug. and 3 more months and left it all unopened, having given up on getting satisfaction.

After the Nov. shipment, she called the first of December to demand a return and cancellation. She was told that it would be cancelled, but was not told that another shipment was on the way. That shipment for Dec. arrived the same day as the return authorization for the Nov. delivery. Nutrisystem Customer Service does now acknowledge the Dec, 10 call and the refund. I hashed this out during 54 minutes of long distance that included 48 minutes of wait time. Didn't get satisfaction from rep, who referred me to Curt, the supervisor. He has referred me to the VM of Chris Kinesso (sp?), who is supposed to call Mon., Jan. 9.

I have contacted the credit card company to dispute payment for the Dec. and Jan. charges. My demand is to get an additional 2 months return and credit for the Sept. and Oct. shipments.

An initial commitment for 277. has now become over 1500. as NutriSystem used intimidation and diversionary customer service to ignore complaints and force a contract fulfillment which was not made clear in the initial offer. Now refusing to stop shipment long after the contract was fulfilled brings me to demand that additional product be returned and credited. This is an absolute minimum and very fair penalty for the continual aggravation and blatant disregard for legitimate complaints brought to their attention.

I joined and lost 10 pounds but was ready to diet alone. I tried to cancel but was told they would suspend my account. Two months later I was sent an e-mail that a 300 shipment was being sent and I immediately canceled. However, the shipment slipped under the radar and I had to refuse the order at my house. Here is the kicker. My credit card still showed the purchased shipment for 300 after several weeks and when I called Nutrisystem to get my money back Yolanda told me I have to call to get it off the credit card. Deceitful! Still waiting for full refund.

Anyone who believes that a company can offer you safe, nourishing meals for the price they state on their TV ads, I have a bridge to sell ya! Where does this product come from? Why would you consider eating nauseating food loaded with chemicals and you have no idea who or where it was prepared or under what conditions? A fool is born is every day. Eat healthy, local and whole.
