Barbara of Melbourne, FL September 18, 2009 I ordered a radio with a pillow speaker from Buy.com. It arrived, but the pillow speaker was missing. They made me send the entire order back, when all they had to do was send me a new pillow speaker, which they sell separately. I had to fight tooth and nail to get a replacement 15 days later, 11 days after I submitted my return with the missing part. Finally somebody told me that they would send me a new one FED EX and they did. The pillow speaker is defective. The radio is fine. I have called and called and emailed and I have no resolution at this time. They have not yet issued a credit for the first return in the amount of 60.11. Now I have spent another 50.11, because they gave me a 10 credit to appease me, but I still was charged 50.11. That means they have 110.22 of my money and I have defective merchandise. They want me to pack all of this up again and take it to UPS and return it, and they will replace it for the third time. Supposedly this is going to a higher entity in the Buy.com hierarchy. Their business practices are abominable. Todd of ARLINGTON, TX August 14, 2009 I purchased a pole mounted monitor arm for my LCD monitor to get it up off my desk and streamline it's appearance. I found a great deal on the exact arm I wanted on Buy.com, placed my order and paid through Paypal as I have done with online purchases for the last 6 years. Less than 10 minutes later I check my order status and see it is listed as "canceled". I send their service department an email asking why and was told it was because my Paypal account & address were "unverified". I have never in 6 years been denied a purchase from an "unverified" account through Paypal. I advised them to continue considering my order canceled and that if they still attempted to take my money they would have charges filed with the FTC, FCC, BBB< and the State Attorney General's office for Consumer Affairs. Priscilla of Maritta`, GA July 28, 2009 Order two monitor privacy screens in the amont of 362. The screens were to small and returned them according to the impossible instructions. I followed it to the letter. But I have to say that the return process was bogus as well. I should have been aware when I realized there was not phone numbe to even confirm my order. So, I followed the return information to the letter when I returned the merchandise on 6/26/09. Today which is 7/28/09 I received and email stating that I have been refunded the amount of 124.00. Which means the company has 237.49 of my money. They essentially stole the money from me. I was charged 15.46 for shipping and handling which is fair. I have no idea what the 237.46 was for. I called the customer service number that I had to hunt down on the web. I called their customer services and immediately asked a rep in the US. Did I get one, No. I knew I was in trouble then. The rep kept repeating the same thing over and over and ove again. Something about expidite it to some experts. So, I kept asking the same question over and over again. When am I going to get my money and what is expiditing to experts? Give me the number and I will call them myself. I told her I wanted to speak to someone who was going to tell me when I would receive my money back. She then told me that after speaking to the "experts" she would get back to as what their determination was? I said WHAT" you have got to be kidding me. There was not earthly reason for Buy.com to keep 237.49 of my hard earned money for absolutely nothing. It's like I paid them 237.49 to keep their own merchandise. I am furious. If this company is California, then why are the cutomer service people in Manila, Phillipines. Why are they from CA? Don't [people] in CA need jobs? According to information I seen, you do need jobs just like everyone else in america. I know a lot of people who would very happy to have a customer server job. David of Washington, DC July 22, 2009 I purchased a 32" LG television from them on July 1, 2009. The TV arrived on July 6th broken. I returned it to them for exchange on July 9th. It takes 7 days to return an item, 2 days to process and 9 days to return the item to you. Maybe I will get it by August 1, 2009. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM! Paul of Calabasas, CA July 8, 2009 Acer Computer monitor was sent with wrong cable-- minor issue. The problem is the non-English speaking person I finally got after spending an hour on the phone who was no help at all. And forget about even finding a phone number for Buy.com. Clearly, these people do not want to be found and they would just as soon you go away. AWFUL COMPANY! Milos of Alexadnria, VA June 30, 2009 I order from Buy.com "Logitech S220 Multimedia Speaker System" and "Motorola S9-HD Stereo Headset - Wireless Connectivity - Stereo - Behind-the-neck - Gloss Black". Buy.com send to me email confirmation for both products and bill of 102, and they took money from my account, and they send to me again new mail with bill for only "Motorola S9-HD Stereo Headset - Wireless Connectivity - Stereo - Behind-the-neck - Gloss Black" and a bill of 72 to pay, and they took money again from my account. The order number on both email is the same:47782155. Like usual, they don't answer on your complain when you send them an email, so, I need a help about what should I do? Daniel of Monrovia, CA June 11, 2009 I'll make it short and to the point. I was severly dissapointed, dis-satisfied, and inconvenienced by order #47424397. The listing was for a Pair(2) of New Polaroid A520 Pink Digital Cameras. I received an email the next day stating that there was a mistake and now they were only going to give me a single refurbished camera. These cameras were for my wife and little sister. This was a huge problem as they gave the option to cancel the order but i had already promised these to my family. The price was to good to be true but i definitley feel that once you sell something at a specific price the company should honor the listing and learn from thier mistake. A few days later we received 1 sctratched up refurbished camera and a software cd. The package was supposed to contain the following: a520 Digital Camera; 4 x AAA Batteries; Protective Skin; Wrist strap; USB cable; CD-ROM. I received no batteries, protective skin, or usb cable. At this point i just felt swindled. After emailing them twice about my concerns all they kept asking me to do was return the item for refund. I made it clear to them that I wanted the camera and wanted to continue doing buisness with them but this was unacceptable for them to not attempt to make a reasonable resolution. They just pointed in other directions when they made a huge mistake and did not aquire any type of loss as i did. efren of raleigh, NC May 28, 2009 Bought a GE Skype phone (DECT) from buy.com but after 6 months the unit stop working so I called GE customer service to get it fix (manufacturer's warranty) but only to be surprise by GE's response that they don't cover manufacturer's warranty to products that were sold to auction sites especially buy.com for the reason that products sold in auction sites are not new (buy.com didn't mention this when they sold the product online). Contacted buy.com customer service and told them what happened and the response I get is that they are not authorize to give my money back (150) or to replace the failed unit, which is basically telling me that they can't do anything. So buyers beware of this scheme especially from buy.com. Online shopping is tough enough because of a lot uncertainties (sensitive info, quality, warranty, etc) but it becomes even more tougher if you have to deal with a big company like buy.com and can't even get a protection on your purchases. In fact, you're not even sure if what you're buying from this store is new or not. It's not worth it saving a few dollars buying from this store if the price you pay at the end is much much higher, like losing the full amount at the end. Avoid this store if you want to have a peace of mind!!! Fred of Estero, FL May 18, 2009 I ordered an External Hard Drive. When I placed the order was given a coupon for a 10 off next order. A month later I get two 12 bills for Discount and Savings. Called and Buy.com said I signed up for them. Not only did I not, I never gave them my credit card, therefore Buy.com must of given it to them. No phone number to call but emailed them. Received call back and said they did not do it and there was nothing they could do. The Bank called the 2 companies and they blamed buy.com. Buy.com gave me a supervisor's number which turned out to be the sales number. They put me on hold and left me there. I was never helped. This is fraud, and misrepresentation. sandra of auburndale, FL May 7, 2009 for days i tried to get the correct adress to return my defective aeromist humidifier. when i emailed buy.com to please forward the right address or issue a reurn authorization themselves, they the responded that my 14 days to return had lapsed. this is not a good company and i will never order from them, again, BUYER BEWARE. i threw 15.00 away! i threw days of trying to get a r/a away. i am frustrated and angry.
