Judith of Potomac, MD, writes (4/2/01):
When someone waits 8 weeks for an item and then has it cancelled that is very upsetting to both the purchaser and the person who was to recieve the gift. This company has not lived up to its contract. They say a letter was sent via e-mail but I did not recieve any such letter. After the 8 weeks I had to write to them. Then when checking my order status I found out that the order had been cancelled without advising me. Actually, assuming it really sent the email, the company did the right thing. Federal Trade Commission rules require that if an order can't be filled in a timely manner, the customer must be notified of the delay and given the option of canceling the order. |
