Kathleen of Ben Lomond CA (10/16/03):
Where do I start? What started out as a simple purchase of a skirt which was meant as a gift has turned into an onslaught of harassment. BUYER BEWARE!

I ordered a skirt to be handmade, and gave the seller two months to produce it, stating it was needed as a gift. I hear back from Dawn, stating she is working on it. One week before I need the item, I email the company and ask what the status is, as they had received payment and I am getting nervous as I have heard no word. I FINALLY hear back from them and they state for me to "chill" and they will ship the skirt that week.

Two months later I get the skirt and you can bet I filed an appropriate complaint with Paypal. My item was not shipped for an entire month and a half after the stated ship date. Well it seems my complaint ruffled a few feathers and Dawn begged me to take back the complaint. Why should I?. I paid my money and expected my product to be sent to me in a timely manner.

Then, to attempt to clear their business recored they send me a refund I never asked for. I was away on holiday in Europe and have no idea this happens until I get back and have three sladerous threats in my email from these "kind" folks. I am accused of robbing them and committing computer fraud. Well, since the refund never hot my bank account, I refuse it, send it back and also inform the pathetic parties of what computer fraud is and suggest they keep their day jobs.

Damage Resulting: Threats via email. Gift came months after I needed it. Had to buy another gift.

If true, this would also be a violation of Federal Trade Commission regulations. If merchandise is not shipped on time, the customer must be informed of the delay and given the option to cancel.
