I brought an Ionic Breeze 4 years ago at the cost of 400 with a lifetime guarantee. I returned my Ionic Breeze last month at the cost of 14.95 and it was returned to me stamped, Not accepting returns. Then I pulled Ionic Breeze up on the computer and learned it went bankrupt. So, I, the consumer lost again. What's wrong with it - well it sizzles and sparks. So rather than burn down the house, I unplugged it and placed it in my garage for storage.

It's the same old story....the company claims bankrupt and then opens up under another name. Why do you think The Sharper Image is advertising: Something bigger and better is coming. THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW TO PROTECT THE CONSUMER.

Isabelle of Sutherlin, OR August 24, 2008

Isabelle of Sutherlin OR (08/24/08)
I recently purchased (2) two steel, crepe pans online from QVC, and the description for that item stated clearly that the item was Made in France. When I opened the box and looked at the products, they had a sticker (label) affixed which read, Made in China. There was nothing in the box explaining that a similar item (or substitute item) had been substituted for my original, so I was expecting 2 crepe pans that were manufactured in France.

Since I had just received my items and haven't had a chance to use them for cooking yet, I decided to go online at QVC.com and post a review of this product based on my visual findings (& not its intended cooking purpose since they havent been used yet). In my review I stated that I had gotten 2 pans that were made in China and NOT made in France, as they had shown in their description online, and also alerting people upfront to that fact before they purchased this item, and for the buyer to beware that quite possibly they would be getting a product NOT made in France. I also stated that I wanted people to know that QVC was misrepresenting this item in clearly stating that this item is 'Made in France' when in fact, it is not. After submitting my review online, I was told that my submission must meet the QVC Community Standards and that it would take up to 5 days for my submission to be viewed online.

Two days after my submission of my review, I receive an email regarding my submission, regretting that they CANNOT use my submission because all or part of it does not meet our Product Rating & Review guidelines.....We are unable to provide the specific reasons why your ...submission could not be used... They then proceeded to tell me how much they value my input and that my feedback is important to us and if I have any other customer service issues to use the Contact Us link.

If I am such a valued customer, why is QVC only allowing and approving the submission of good or nice reviews about a product, and not include the bad ones as well? Are they afraid that someone will find out that they are mailing people substandard products, while clearly misrepresenting the product online by saying that it's made in France? Did they purchase these pans from China months ago, and are now trying to sell them off as quickly as possible and saying they are made in France so people would buy them? I don't know. But this doesn't sound right to me.

If a legitimate company tells you that a certain product of theirs that is for sale is made in a certain country, I expect to receive that very object from that country, and not another! (unless told otherwise). QVC is deliberately misleading people into thinking they are getting something made in France when they clearly know that the product isn't made there, but in China, and it seems that they are trying to quash anyone who wants to have a say-so on that matter by deliberately exposing them publicly, such as in an innocent review! What kind of racket is QVC trying to pull?

I want justice in this case. I wont rest until this is satisfactorily resolved. I believe that people have a RIGHT to know, both positive and negative comments, about the items QVC is selling online. If I have to, I will seek legal counsel against QVC for willful discrimination & bias, selective choosing, misrepresentation of product(s), and criminal fraud in trying to cover it up and persistence in their unlawful ways.

I purchased a month's worth of Nutrisystem for approximately 200.00. I don't see any of their products as food. It tasted so bad that I couldn't eat it. And that may be their secret to weight loss. The last packaged dinner I ate gave me diarrhea that lasted 4 days.

Jennifer of Antioch, CA June 26, 2008

On March 28, 2008 I paid, through my bank's online bill payment service, 69.42 to pay off the balance on my QVC account. The check was sent to the old payment address in California. In April I received a bill stating the payment was not received. I thought it was due to not enough time having passed since it was paid. In May I received another statement saying the bill was still not paid. I began calling. I got copies of the cashed check and sent them to QVC PO Box 981462, El Paso, TX. I heard nothing.

Then I discovered QVC had reported me to the credit bureau for being 30 days late, which is ruining my chances for a mortgage. Calls to QVC and to G E Money Bank have been unsuccessful. I want the ding on my credit rating removed and credit for the check they cashed. I have copies of the check, but I can get no one to listen to me. I wish I had never heard of QVC

Bed began to sag after a few years and we were just told that was too bad and there is nothing they can do about it. We are not fat people.

Debra of Indianapolis, IN May 1, 2008

I have a complaint about the Tova Signature Perfume that QVC has been selling since approx. 1991/1992. I have been purchasing it from them since that date. Tova Borgnine (wife of Ernie Borgnine, the actor) was the original developer of the Tova perfume. She sold out to QVC approx. 2 or 3 years ago, and since QVC bought her line, they have changed the ingredients and/or formulation of the Tova perfume to where it no longer smells the same or lasts any longer than 1 hour after spraying. I am not the only person who has worn Tova and is now complaining about it.

I have also submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and recently received a reply that I must be having problems with the Tova since I am now older it is my own fault that Tova doesn't smell the same on me. I am not the only person who is complaining about this. There are at least 50 other women on the QVC message board and numerous purchasers of Tova products have left bad reviews for the Tova perfume on the QVC web site. We cannot all be wrong.

QVC, since buying the Tova line, has tried to change the ingredients to cheaper ones and change the formulation of the perfume and pass it off as the original Tova Signature. QVC has lied to all of us and is deceiving new customers in presenting the Tova Signature as being the same as the original. It is not. In fact, the older bottles of Tova Signature had only 3 ingredients. The new Tova since QVC bought it has around 20 ingredients.

Carol of Philadelphia, PA May 1, 2008

When Tova Borgnine owned her company she sold a lovely perfume called "Tova Signature Eau de Parfum." I have worn this fragrance for approximately 12 years. Then, approximately 2-3 years ago, Tova sold her company to QVC and/or QVC took over Tova’s company. Shortly thereafter, that is when the perfume's scent changed and also its long-lasting fragrance was no more. QVC and/or its manufacturer/formulator are not using the same quality ingredients as the original Tova perfume (when Tova owned her own company). QVC is still saying that it is the original formula, up to quality standards, etc. Most of the original Tova customers can tell a difference between the “good Tova and the “bad Tova. When Tova owned her own company there was never a problem with the fragrance. All the problems started when QVC took over Tova’s company.

I have twice written to Tova Borgnine. As of today I have not gotten a response from her. I have also written to the President/CEO of QVC, Mike George. I did not directly hear back from him, but a Pat Kaplan from QVC’s President’s Office conversed with me via telephone saying the same boilerplate response of: “the ingredients are up to quality standards, they did an independent study and I hope this will assist you. I also wrote to Allen Burke, QVC’s Beauty Merchandising Director and got that boilerplate response as I mentioned previously.

Many QVC customers have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. We are just now getting some response back, but QVC’s answer has now changed. The letter says that “QVC is, and has been, aware of the issue. Last year QVC took steps to correct the problem and believe it has been rectified. For a relatively short period of time, the formulator of the Tova fragrance had slightly altered the fragrance formula. Once QVC became aware of the problem, QVC took extraordinary steps to correct the problem and contacted QVC customers to notify them of the anomaly.

To the best of QVC's knowledge, the proprietary formula for Tova has been returned to its original composition. QVC never notified me of any problem and the fragrance is not back to the original formula/scent/or long-lasting quality. The letter goes on to state, and this is what I feel insults my intelligence, is that my age, diet and medication has something to do with my olfactory experience of this fragrance. Again this statement is another boilerplate response because other women that filed a complaint with the BBB got the same letter insulting our intelligence saying our experience with this fragrance has something to do with our age, diet and/or medication we take.

QVC is defrauding its customers by selling the fragrance they now label as “Tova Signature Eau de Parfum and this fraudulent business practice should be stopped.

Valiere of St Louis, MO April 4, 2008

I purchased a multicooker Model AX970D K89658. After 3 uses it just stopped working. I started trying 1 year ago to get a new cord and still cannot. QVC referred me to Cook's essentials and they keep referring me back to QVC saying that the product was never there. At one time QVC gave me the number to Keystone and they have referred me back to QVC.

I am sitting here with a multi cooker that I cannot use and just cannot get a new cord to see if that is the problem. With the model number you would think that someone would find me a way to order me another cord.

Beverly of Columbus, OH July 25, 2007

I recently signed up for the 40-60 Nutrisystem program with QVC and found that I have 1 item missing....1 of the snacks. So far, I called to ask for the item to be sent and the Rep. took my mailing info and said they would ship it after he asked me which one that I wanted to be sent. I will let you know if I get it in a timely manner. Unfortunately, I would have to agree with some of the complaints about the salt content and the flavor of some of the food. I did not choose the foods that came, this was done for me through NS through the programs they displayed and offerred through QVC.

However, there really has been only a couple of the dinners and candy that tasted funny. I think they tasted unique because it was not prepared the way I would here at home but that was the reason for buying into this program, right? You would have most of your meal prepared for you with a minimal amount of prep time??? The way I figure it, the sodium content of their product may seem high but when you don't add any more to other food items in your meals it generally balances out to approximately 1600-1700mg sodium per day....which sadly enough is LESS than I was probably eating before I started the program! I have figured out that most of the program foods are soy-based, which may not be the type of foods that others are accustomed to eating; which may affect their changes in digestion, etc.

True, there is life after this program and I am sure that after approximately 1-3 more months I will cancel and through a re-adjustment in my mental images of what a reasonable portion of foods look I hope to be able to be on my own two feet as I then begin to follow the Weight Watchers diet, which is very similar to the Heart Assn's diet. I do like the soy products and would like to buy them without the added salt so that I can add what I am allowed. I am diabetic and have chosen to NOT get on the diabetic version since my blood sugars have stabilized on this group of foods.

This was a happy discovery with this diet since maintaining somewhat even blood sugar readings are important to a diabetic. I feel like this is due to the low carb content and the soy products, however, I may be wrong. I have been attempting to add soy/tofu products to my diet so this has work out well for me. I hope that as I come to the end of this program that I do not have any problems with cancelling as others have and I am hoping that since QVC is outstanding with their customer service that they will prevent this company from ruining their reputation through deceptive practices.

W of Knoxville, TN July 16, 2007

I purchased a Dell desp top from QVC in Fall of 2006, mainly due to the 3 year warranty. It specified that a warranty worked so that if the fix could not handle over the phone, a technician would be dispatched to my site in one day, per the warranty.

Satury, 7-14-07, the computer crashed and will not boot. After a fruitless 3 hour call with a brainless son of a bitch from India, they finaly had me to take the cover off and undoing boards on the mother board. The bottom line was that the system never would re-boot.

The Indian idiot then had me hold forever, after which I was told the problem would upgraded to a higher level incident and that I'd receive a call Sunday AM to discuss. The call was never received. I called QVC Monday again to find how to reach Dell, and totally got the run around. I called Dell in India three more times Monday, and again was promised that a higher level tech would call my 8:00 PM CST. They never called.

When I called the Dell service line, I now get a messaage that the phone extention is disconnected and I get re-routed to yet another recording. Never, ever buy a Dell or Never, Ever shop QVC for any item everf!! Hell will freeze over before Dell provides customer service.
