Julie of Montville OH (10/28/03):
My cat Lectra got caught in this litterbox. I tried to free him but could not. I called 911 and had the police involved, and then thought to unplug the machine.

While trying to free Lectra, he bit and scratched me...we were both terrified. Physically he was ok but did not want anything to do with that box. I on the other hand was bleeding when the police showed at our door. I cleaned up as best I could before they left.

I called the vet to see if I should bring Lectra in, and they advised me to keep an eye on him. Within minutes my fingers were swollen and I called my doctor. They fit me in shortly. I am fighting for my lost wages, doctor bills, and meds. Shortly it will be a year and they still have not found the reason for the malfunction or settled my claim.

I'd hate to think what would've happened if I left for work.
