I ordered two dog tags and two cat collars from Pettags and did not receive one of the cat collars. I emailed them at least twice and never got an answer. I let it go after 4 months or so because the cat that was missing the collar was killed and so I just didn't bother anymore. I didn't have the heart to pursue it. But now I am seeing these other complaints and thought I would log in my experience.

I think the cat collar cost about 6.95 plus shipping.

Whitney of Central ME (12/11/04)
I wish I had read ConsumerAffairs.com and the Better Business Bureau site for Nevada. If I had, I would never have placed an order with this company. I have called twice, leaving messages and I have sent 4 emails. My order has not arrived, nor have I received any reply to my inquiries. My next call is to my credit card company to have the charges reversed, and report Pettags.com to them. I urge all others who used a credit card to pay, to act accordingly, so Pettags loses their credit card facilities.

Aside from time, I am out about US$23 dollars.

Tracy of Wofford Heights CA (08/09/04)
I am the owner of a pet grooming business, and wanted to be able to sell pet tags to my customers. For the past month, I have been practically begging the above-mentioned pet tag company to send me a display. I have e-mailed countless times and even called. Still nothing.

Patricia of Clarksburg WV (4/9/03):
I placed an order with Pettags on Feb 6 2003. I had ordered two dog tags and it is now April 8 2003 and I still have not received my tags. I ordered one for Gizmo and one for Buttons, both dogs. I have emailed them and they did not email me back. On their website it states that they will be mailed within 24 hours and now it has been 2 months and I still haven't recieved them.

They have got their money out of my debit card -- $11.99. I called them the first of this month and asked them where my tags were and she was very rude about it. After I gave her my information she knew what tags I was talking about, but said that another department would have to call me back and I haven't heard from them since.

Vicki of Bedford IN (2/17/03):
I ordered two tags and two collars from these people. I got the tags in about two weeks but the collars never came even after several unanswered e-mails I sent.

Barbara of Greenville SC (1/27/03):
I placed an order with Pettags.com on December 9, 2002. It is now January 28, 2003 and I have not received the tags, but my credit card was charged in December soon after the order was submitted. I have sent 3 emails requesting order status, but get no reply. I have called their 800 service and left a message with the nice, but not helpful, staff. No one has returned my call. They do not appear to be a legitimate company.

I have lost the money paid for two tags, plus shipping and handling. This is in addition to my time and effort to simply get the product I ordered and was charged for.

Kimberly of Moses Lake WA (10/10/02):
I ordered a dog tag and a personalized dog collor for my daughters dog. It was charged to my credit card in August, and we have still yet to receive our collar. I have e-mailed them several times and each time no response. Considering I have already paid for the collar, I am kinda stuck! They have my money and my daughter has nothing!

Tiffany of Knoxville, TN, writes (5/24/01):
I placed an order with pettags.com for a personalized dog collar. I measured my dogs neck, ordered the correct size for my 10-pound dog. After the collar arrived, on 3 different occasions the clasp snapped allowing the dog to escape into the highway. I immediately emailed pettags.com informing them of the problem, after a week I still had not received any reply. I then called their office number to find an operater who could care less and proceeded to hang up on me. I later called back and asked for a manager and was transferred to a lady who seemed genuinely concerned about this problem. However she was going to check out the problem and get right back with me, the same day. It's now been 2 weeks, still no call and no reply via email at all.
