I went in and got some fishes and some fish stuff and I had no cash on me to pay for it, so I gave the cashier my credit card and my ID and they refused. I mean like it was a valid credit card and a valid ID and they wouldn't take it and they refuse to sell it to me. I mean I think walmart has taken advantages on certain things. I think that they should of let me use my credit card I mean I see no reason not to.

I've always had great experience with our Wal-Mart pet department. I've bought several betas there and they've all lived happy and healthy lives (some for years!) I was very sad to see our local Wal-Mart remove their fish recently. Owning a fish was a very inexpensive pet and there was always plenty of selection. I never saw dead fish floating in their tanks and the greeters always carried the fish over or around the exit sensors for me. I may not like the way the stor can drive out smaller business, but as far as the store management being concerned about the quality of their merchandise - it's always been top notch in Montgomery, Texas.

When i went to walmart one day, i went to look by the fish section because the time before it was all empty ( which i was grateful for cause there was always dead fish in all tanks from before) so when i passed it i saw they had more fish. Thinking it would look alot better due to they had none before, i yet saw again in every tank there were at least 2 dead fish. Then i passed the Betas and i saw a dead one and his bowl was really brown like he had been there for awhile. Obviously Walmart does not check up on their fish whats so ever.

i saw the thermometer on the tanks and they were well over 80 degrees. Now i am no fish expert but i know that those tanks were way too hot for them. So while i was looking at the dead beta, an employee walked right on by, saw what i was looking at and yet did nothing. The other betas that were left looked in horrible condition and their water was so dirty and gross.

So i, feeling sorry for the rest of the betas, bought the 6 that were left and brought them home. I even told the lady at the register the reason why i was buying them, and she said nothing!! Nothing!! She did nothing at all, not even caring!! When i took them out of their water, i tell you, the smell that came out of that bowl was so foul. It had Obviously not been changed in a very long time!!! This has got to stop, there have been so many complaints about Walmarts and how they fail to keep the fish in good condition. Walmart needs to not be able to have fish at all!!! They obviously do not care whats so ever what happens to them.

One day when i was at walmart with my mom and sister and we went back to the fish department.OMG those fish were in horrible condition and I was not going to let this continue. So I bought a beta fish and he lived for 3 mounths (prettyy good). Then he died.So we went back and bought some small tropical fish and they died within two days. Then I went back with my dad and the assistant said the fish were stresed out(as if). Then we bought another fish hopeing it would live.So we bought a Molly(the ones with the BIG eyes). So when we were driving home I didnt jnow the fish was dead so we put it in the tank and it WAS JUST Lyeing on the rocks.then The next day i went back to walmart to talk to the idiot who works back there. So stupid didnt do anything and now we know not to buy fish from walmart.

When I went in to walmart one day my dad and I went back to the fish section. I had bought my first fish then we took it home and the fish was ok...FOR THREE HOURS. Then we went back to buy another fish they died with in a week that fish was a molly it was in its bag when we were driving home and guess what? that fish died before we put it in its fish tank. Then we went back and this time i looked at all of the fish in the tanks they were all eather dead or dieing.

the beta fish were the worst their tails were all shreaded in pieces. I know im only 11 but SOMEONE SHOULD DO SOMETHING. They should hire some who knows what their doing not someone 16-18. SOme one who will care about those fish and will give them food everyday, and someone who will give them new water everyweek. If I were old enough to be employed I would LOVE to do the job. Fish are pets not stuffed animals, one minute you want them and the next you don't. I'm not just talking about adults but KIDS TOO you should care for your fish or what ever pet you have. NEVER BUY FISH FROM WALMART!
