I had A mini schnauzer that was only 16 mths old recently die, for no apparent reason..he had been getting ill for a month or so and I wondered if it was something that he had eaten or perhaps played with as he loved his toys.

while researching this.. his toys each one I came upon the green monster that walmart recalled for amts of chromium, lead and cadmium. I was utterly Shocked..My preciousCOCO loved his little monster, always chewing on it and licking it,he has had it since he was a puppy..I now know what killed him, extreme exposure to something that I had no idea was putting him literally at death's door everytime he played with it. He loved his toys, slept with it and it was his favorite. I am ENRAGED at Walmart for taking such a sorry attitude to this Infected toy.

I guess to those people at Walmart it's all about saving them a few bucks not if this is safe ,they don't care if it hurts or kills our families or pets..Thay think we will believe there claims that these green monsters were safe, Frankly don't think I will purchase anything at all for my animals again there, as they have totally let me down and broke my confidence I placed in them.

I feel that the fish tanks need to have plants in them. These fish may not ever be sold. They need plastic plants. That is the right thing to do because these are living creatures. It didn't look like they were being very well taken care of (e.g. dead fish, fish being sucked into some sort of vent that circulates the water). Suggestion: Why don't [Walmart] just stick to selling non-living things. Pets belong in pet stores!

I went to WalMart to purchase a fish for my new aquarium. I was appalled to find a number of dead fish floating in the majority of the tanks. The pet department is typically unattended and I waited quite a while for somebody to show up and assist me. After I picked out the fish I wanted to 'save' I asked if he could tell me anything about it. His response was simply I don't know anything about the fish, but I can put it in the bag for you.

Only after I got home and did my own research did I realize that not only would the fish I purchased grow quite rapidly, but it would reach an excess of 10 inches. I would need to purchase a much larger tank, and a much larger filter to care for this pet. I pass through the pet department every time I go into the store now, and it is always unattended, and there is always a number of dead fish floating in the tanks. WalMart should clearly not be in the business of caring for any animals.

One day,I was looking at Wal-marts discusting fish and I asked a lady,Why is there so many dead fish? The lady answered Oh, thats so and so's job to clean it up. When I took a closer look, I noticed that the fish were covered in Ich.

Also, they used to carry hermit crabs and took horrible care of them. Hermit crabs need heaters, humidifiers and substrate to molt. They were in cups with a few pebbles!! Not to mention, they used to carry frogs but they were also in tiny cups with nothing to stand on! Most probably drowned. I'm NOT buying any pet things from Wal-mart!

As I was standing in line at Walmart, I noticed a boy and his mother with a one gallon fish bowl and all the things to put in it. The fish in the bag was a large catfish, one that certainly needed more water than that and a heater as well.

I asked them if the salesperson told them that fish was ok for that bowl, and they said yes. I warned them that it would not survive in a bowl, but they said they'd just buy a new one if it did.

Walmart should not sell fish if this is the way they are doing it, and after seeing this I will no longer shop at this store.
