October 10, 2005
The Library of Congress preserves the nation's cultural artifacts and provides enduring access to them. The Library's traditional functions, acquiring, cataloging, preserving and serving collection materials of historical importance to the Congress and the American people to foster education and scholarship, extend to digital materials, including Web sites. After the Library collects, processes, and catalogs the ConsumerAffairs.com collection, it will make the Web archive available to researchers onsite at Library facilities. The Library will also make the collection available to offsite researchers by hosting the collection on the Library's public access Web site. For more information about other Web Archive collections, see www.loc.gov/minerva. ConsumerAffairs.com is a consumer news and information site covering automotive, financial, health, homeowners, travel and general consumer news as well as safety recall notices. It provides extensive consumer resources and publishes consumer complaints and compliments about thousands of companies. It also provides radio news reports to stations throughout the country. For more information, see www.consumeraffairs.com/press/index.html. Report Your Experience
