Nanette of Whittier, CA October 16, 2008

Nanette of Whittier CA (10/16/08)
I had wrote a letter to the attorney general;s office complaining about experian's neglect by keeping unverified information on my credit report, I received a response from experian about the letter I wrote to the attorney's generals office stating they have investigated the accounts in question and the were verified, I spoke with Mr. Alfie K on October 15, 2008 about the letter requesting information about their investigation process, and making him aware of my own investigation into the accounts which he stated were verified, i explain to Mr. K that I wrote to each credit grantor requesting verification of debt alledgely owned, these credit grantors could not verify the account as owed to me,

I made Mr. K aware of this but he stated they verified the accounts with experian, I'm curious of how they could verify this account with experian and not with me, i do not believe experian takes the time to verify accounts correctly and allows false and fraudulent information to be placed on people's credit file without proper investigation, experian needs a class action law suit against them to get the point, they can not continue to place and keep unverifiable information on someone credit without proper investigation, also it was stated to me that experian verifies information by name and social security number, and a automated system, there needs to be a paper trail along with the account so we can be protected against ID theft. As long as experian keep using substandard requirements to verify we all are not safe with experian as a credit reporting agency

The damage I'm facing due to experian is high interest rates, not being able to build credit, and not being able to get the jobs available to me with my education

i was offered my credit score. When i got it, it was not a fico score but some proprietary credit score called Experian VantageScore. It is NOT the same as a FICO score and I feel like i got a bait and switch job.

There are 2 derogatory items on my Experian credit report that I've disputed twice and they remain because they're verifiable. These idiots always claim that its verifiable. The one collection account that I disputed, I called the agency and requested documentation of my signing something and they could not provide it. So exactly how did Experian verify it? This score is always the lowest and it is ridiculous. They need to be monitored by a regulatory agency. They don't care that they are interfering with people's livlihoods when they report incorrect info.

I disputed online with Experian again and was able to find a physical address to send hard copy disputes. You do not have to purchase the 3 in 1 to dispute. There should be a link that takes you to the dispute center and you get a FREE copy of your report.

My credit score has dropped drastically and I'm an accountant who will not be able to get a job as a Controller because of my score!

Experian has comingled and scrambled the infomation in my credit report. I went through this 2 years ago, and they had gotten it corrected, and was still ok as of 7-2-2007. Now, as of 8-5-2008 they show 34 accounts of which 12 are mine, but 22 accounts and much personal infomation appears to be from my Son's credit file. They have also scrambled names and dates as well as spouse names. T

he TranUnion and Equifax files appear to be ok. This is clearly a result of Experian negligence. I did speak with a person at the FTC that indicated this is not an uncommon problem with Experian. I understand this could be a legal issue and am curious if any class actions suits are pending.

The time and effort expended and the aggravation in getting the files corrected plus minor mailing expenses are the only known damages to date.

I ahve copies of my credit reports as far back as 1998. On my 2001 report from Experian, is an old credit card debt that is more than 7 years old and Experian nor TransUnion will not delete this item. In addition, it was re-inserted without notice and show as if the account was opened and 120 days late.

For the last 5 years, I have disputed several items in writing and to avail, my correspondences have been ignored costing me several chances at purchasing my first home.
