These people break the FTC laws everyday and keep getting away with it! I have been going back and forth with them over 2 accounts listed on my credit that aren't even mine! They have removed them, put them back on, removed them again, and put them back on again for 8 years now! The collection companies reporting these accounts keep selling off the accounts, re-aging them by the date they bought them and re-list them on my credit and I'm screwed. Even when they say formerly Fingerhut, which the credit reporters know is the same account, they blantely break the law and put them back on.

I even filed a COMPLAINT AGAINST EXPERIAN WITH THE FTC, but they can't do anything until a certain number of consumers file complaints, then they can take action. This seems like double jepordy to me as why even have the FTC if it takes a class action to do anything? Why have the consumer protection laws when they are not enforced? By law once an item is removed like that it is not to be put back on, but they sure get away with it!

I received an email from Experian telling me there was a change to my report. I logged on and was told it would be 2-3 weeks from the time I signed up until I could access my alerts.

Well, I've been signed up for over a year. I've now spoken with 6 customer service people and have been assured it's a priority for them to get my account fixed. They say the link is not working. However, it never seems to get fixed. Two of the reps told me 3-5 days. The others said 2-3 weeks.

What decent company takes that long to fix computer problems? Anyway, it has now been 8 days, and I STILL don't know what the change is to my credit report. They will also NOT give me a name of anyone in charge that I can contact for service.

In 2001 we used Experian Credit to repair the inaccuracies on our credit reports and they informed us they did.

They told us that our loan with Commonwealth ( which we paid monthly out of our checking account) would be corrected and also a small item from the same bank would also be corrected. They were supposed to get this done. Not only did they do nothing about any corrections we asked for but charged us the monthly fee which they took out of our bank each month.

My wife got the corrections done herself but then they put them back on again and when we went for a refinance in 2005. We found out everything was put back on and never corrected even though we had letters from the Bank saying they were to correct the errors. They are a disgrace. They should be fined and put out of business.

Why isn't anyone enforcing them to close if they do not obey the credit laws. I think the whole credit issue is terrible, the consumer is on the losing end. The banks and finance companies run the whole credit issue.
