sandra of conyers, GA May 19, 2009

I filed a report many years ago that I have NEVER lived at another address they have me living at, my complaint was never corrected. Now I am assuming MORE debt with interest charges

Qun of Phoenix, AZ May 19, 2009

I made an inquiry to Experian to investigate accounts on my credit report. It was dated April 1, 2009 and yet it has been over 45 days, no response. In addition to that, I was charged for a fee that I should not had when I tried to retrieve my credit report from Experian.com. It told me that I would not be charge. It was for verification purposes only and yet they charged me.

On top of that, when I called to dispute the charges, the representative told me that there was no freeze on my account. I had froze my report since Late 2008. I requested to speak with someone else about the charges since they told me that it is nonrefundable. How can it be nonrefundable when there was no intent to purchase anything from them? What about my account being froze? No one was supposed to be able to get any information unless I called them myself to lift the freeze. This is such a scam. This bureau is the worst of the 3.

Debra of Severn, MD May 19, 2009

Experian allegedly called my mother (aged 82) and told her they could reduce her credit card APR if she gave them her bank and credit card info. Because she trusted the name Experian, she gave them her info. Afterwards she wondered if they were legitimate. She tried to contact Experian and could not get anyone to speak to except the automated menu. She has since canceled her cards and requested new cards.

Steve of Chagrin Falls, OH May 18, 2009

Folks, I received a credit report from Experian and they noted I had "too many accounts with balances" We have NO accounts with balances and pay credit cards in full each month. It is impossible to call these people. They hide behind their telephone handling system. My loan application is being held up because they got something wrong. They do not answer their phones. Please tell banks to stop using their service. They do a disservice to their customers.

Latoshia of Brooklyn, NY May 14, 2009

This company is supposed to accurately report credit history. In this case there are four different social security numbers associated with my report and my report is saturated with history that does not belong to me. I just recently found out about this problem when I decided to apply for a mortgage. Once I was denied for the mortgage is when the saga began. As I looked at the names that were associated with my report I could understand how an error like this could occur. But being that credit is distinguished by social security numbers and not by name I CANNOT UNDERSTAND how this could have occurred. My investigations have began since February 2, 2009. And not yet have I received any correspondence with regret or remorse. I cannot move forward with any of my endeavors without correspondence. This company is very hard to contact and I would like to take legal action against them.

Chris of Park City, UT May 7, 2009

Many months ago, I froze all my credit reports to prevent identity theft. April 30, 2009, I tried to temporarily unfreeze my credit in order to apply for a mortgage. Apparently it worked for Trans Union & Equifax, but not for Experian. I tried again on May 6, then tried to permanently lift it on May 7, none of which has worked. It is impossible to reach a live person on the phone without a credit report number which I don't have. Of course, Experian has charged me 30 for the three attempts to lift the freeze. The bank says the area determines which credit reporting firm is used, and of course it's Experian here. So if I can't unfreeze my credit, I won't be able to get a mortgage. Time is of the essence.

Sally of La Habra Heights, , CA May 3, 2009

I got a free credit report and someone has used my information for credit and left me with their unpaid bills and I wnat to clear this up. I can't get an address or phone number to talk to a person with any of the credit bureaus. They have my address, names and a lot of other false information tacked on to my report. I have had at least one credit card company cut my credit because of a bad report.

I can't file a police report because I they want the entire number of the credit card that is charged to me. I do not have this and can't get it because it is not mine. I need help in clearing up the matter and need to talk to a human being. I have already spent hours and days trying to get to a human both with Experian and with Consumer Credit. I get nothing but recorded messages that lead to more recorded messages. HELP!!!!!

Rob of Sacramento Area, CA April 28, 2009

After reading all of the complaints about Experian and the inability to contact them, I searched my "free" credit report to find the number and address to contact them. Addy NCAC P.O. Box 9556 Allen, TX 75013 Phone 1-800-493-1058 Hope this helps someone ...

Keith of Aiken, SC April 19, 2009

Keith of Aiken SC (04/19/09)
I Have Sent In Statements Of Items That Have A 0.00 Balance and they will not update my report. Also they applied bank that they keep reporting i have asked them to remove because the item is not mine and also it has been reporting for seven years...

This has cost me the score on my report to be very low.. I am having a hard time buying a house because of this item and them reporting it. Experian is the only one that is reporting this.
