Calligaris USA Recalls Bar Stools

Calligaris USA is recalling about 400 ICE bar stools. The seat on the bar stools can detach, causing the consumer to fall and suffer injuries.

Calligaris has received five reports of the seats detaching. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves Calligaris bar stools with a contemporary design. The stools have a black or chrome metal base, a low-back, and plastic seats that come in orange, black, white, green, or clear. The words “ICE” and “Calligaris” are engraved on the underside of the seat.

The bar stools were sold through furniture stores nationwide from November 2005 through September 2006 for between $250 and $600. They were made in Italy.

Consumers should stop using these bar stools immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a merchandise exchange or a full refund of the purchase price.
