Christine of Kings Park NY (7/9/03):
I work at an interior design firm located a few stores away from a PC Richards. Our clients occassionally will ask us to pick out TV's for them, so we walk next door and buy from PC Richards. In the last month alone we have purchased four TV's.

One of our bigger clients needed two TV's for her NYC apartment so I purchased them and set up a delivery that included installing the TV's. "Set up and Install" was written on the invoice three times yet when they arrived a day late they just left the TV's in the middle of the living room still in their boxes. After finding this out I went myself to install the TV's. One I was able to do because it was a small plasma TV that weighed 15lbs, but the other TV was so heavy I couldn't even budge it from the box.

Now I call to set up another day for the one TV to be installed I am given the run around and finally hear back the next day. They are sending two men over to install the TV. Well the TV was just thrown into a custom built wall unit and never set up, if you are going specifically to set up the TV how can you possibly leave without doing that?

Also upon putting the TV in, they scratched the entire bottom of the unit. Now in order to install the TV you have to again lift the TV out of the unit and plug all the wires in. Now I storm over to PC Richards and I am very upset, do they care? NO! They say that they will send someone next week to set it up, no big deal. Well, it is a big deal, what will happen this time?

Even when I called the help line, they were rude. I wanted to speak to someone higher up and they couldn't tell me who that person is. I told them I wanted to return the TV's and they said that I could not. Now I have to have the wall unit repainted and they will be receiving the bill. They have lost a very valuable customer, we will be sure to find Tv's for all our clients elsewhere.

Their disgusting actions are a direct reflection on our services and our company. They made us look bad in the eyes of our client. She is very dissatisfied and they will not do anything for her. All I can do is apologize over and over again for their mistakes.
