Scott of Concord, MA September 10, 2009

On 9/3/2009 I purchased several items at Walmart in Framingham - including a 12 pack of soda. The shelf price was posted at 2.99 a 12 pack. At the registry I was charged 18.75! I didn't notice the error until I was leaving the store but returned to the cashier who told me he couldn't help because I'd already signed the receipt and directed me to "customer care". There was a line. A waited -- when I finally reached the counter the person behind the counter started a conversation with another employee and ignored me. When I finally got his attention he said that the price of 18.75 for 12 cans of soda was indeed correct and I could take it or return it. I returned it and was given a credit but Massachusetts state law requires merchants to honor their posted prices - and they did not.

Philip of Spencer, OK August 26, 2009

I went in to purchase a specific product for a friend. I comparison shopped as always and chose the best deal for 10.56 . At the register, it rang up 11.56 . I told the cashier, she said that was the price. I paid, walked directly back to the shelf and verifed only to find I was right. I was directed to the Customer Service Dept by the cashier. (Her job was to put the money in the register.)

After waiting for two other customers, I told the clerk my situation. She began my refund of 1.08, had me sign, as if I did something wrong, and said thank you. I told her I appreciated the courtesy but wanted the price in the register to be corrected so others would not endure the same inconvenience. She said she would see what she could do.

I'm guessing that's where it ended. This has happened so many times for me. Most of the time I am gone from the store before I realize what happened. I wonder how many other people have had similar experiences. Just a little guy feeling bullied by the big guy.

Last week I bought 11 plastic crates to organized my garage. The price was 5.00 each. Today I received the new Walmart add where the same crates were on sale: 2 for 5.00. I went to the store and the lady at the customer service counter inform me that they do not match prices, even their owns, but she will check with a manager.

After talking to the manager on the phone, she inform me she was right and that the manager said to return them and purchase them again. That is so stupid, I am not going to take everything out of them but I will stop shopping at Walmart. I live in a small toewn, hopefully not much longer, and they are the only place to shop. Now I will drive 20 miles and shop ina real grocery or clothing store.

i went to walmart on july27,09 and used my sale adds and was told that they would not take one of my sale adds because they said that the store add was a generic meat that they sold at the store where the meat was on sale the name was called TERRYS AND WOULD NOT give it to me they always say that they take all sale adds but they dont

i am a big walmart shopper and am alittle disappointed that the parents choice diapers have gone up by 2-3 dollars while the size of the packaging has gone down. i just wanted to voice my complaint somewhere. i am a single mom of 6 and living on ssi as my only means of income and i have had to almost double the amount of diapers i by since the size shrinkage.

I was shopping at the Walmart above where they sell a product called Nardones Pizza which comes in a box with a price on the package. The pizza is pre priced 5.99 and it is sold this way in every store. As a matter of fact it is only sold in the pre priced box. The Walmart store above has put white stickers over the pre priced amount and is charging 6.76 for this item. They store is making the customer pay more for the product than the company charges. There is almost a one dollar mark up on the product.

I carried my grand daughter and her husband to our local Wall Mart Super Center last night where they found a TV stand for 19.00. When we got to the check out it rang up 24.00. I had checked the bar code number and it matched the number on the sticker on the shelf with the 19.00 price. After they were made to pay 24.00 I went back and checked and found that it was stocked in both the 24.00 and the 19.00 spots. Like most on a limited income they had counted their money and figured they had enough to buy the item. Stockers should not put items they do not have room for in another spot on the shelf as that is very confusing.

My real complaint is that the bar code number was on both prices and a stocker should pay attention and I don't feel like they should have had to pay the higher price and the lady checking on the problem didn't really seem to want to hear what we were trying to tell her because she kept saying that she went by the item number not the bar code number which should not have been on both price stickers on the shelf. A little training could go a long way at Wall Mart in several places in the store. I have said so many times that I was NOT going to shop there again this has pretty much made up my mind for me. I actually tried to get them not to buy the item and told them that I would take them elsewhere. Thank you.

I recently was a customer in the Janeville WI SuperW in the grocery section. I was purchasing pre-made hamburger patties for a family cookout for Memorial Day weekend. The pre-packaged Angus Beef (fresh) patties were labeled 3.42/lb in the small package (4 patties); the large package was labeled 3.41/lb with a larger round "Save 20c a pound" label. I asked an associate where the 20c was since the difference was only 1 c/lb.

He couldn't answer and a meat manager was called. She couldn't answer stateing that the pricing came out of the distribution center. A store manager had the same response. End result there was no 20c/lb samivings. This was also true on several meat products other than hamburger. I got no satisfaction. I felt this was was (is) a deceptive marketing practice and am refering it to the state consumer advocacy of WI. Fri May 29, 2009 approx.2PM

I purchased an HP laptop computer that was on sale for 398.00 marked down from 598.00. Got home and found they gave me the wrong laptop. returned it to the store and manager of the department advised they were out of that laptop. I asked her to check the Muncie store (16 miles away) they advised they had 3 in store but the price was 100.00 dollars higher. Called WalMart Corp they did nothing.

Teresa of Byrdstown , TN May 8, 2009

We drove to wal-mart in Jamestown due to convenience to purchase a TV when ours went out - we could have as easily went to nearby Cookeville where there is a wide selction of merchants -only to come back home empty handed. The issue was that on the way to the store I found an add at SAMs club for the TV we wanted. Wal mart had the same TV for approx. 20.00 more so we asked for a price match only to be told no immediatly by a person in that dept.

I asked to speak to a Manager (Jody) simply because of the way the no was relayed without any thought by the person working the department. The Manager also told us no - he said they wouldn't match anything that was not in the town of Jamestown. It is important to know that Jamestown is a tiny spot on the map and there is nothing there besides wal mart.

I thought I would post this here to be a voice and to let it be known that wal mart is not the all american store they claim to be, in today's economy they should be doing all they can to retain clients. The 20.00 isn't the issue, it is the choice we made to do business there and the choice wal mart made to keep us from doing business.
