Eckerd is a fast-growing chain throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Whether that's a good thing or not might be qustioned by the consumers we've heard from.
Linda of Drayden MD (03/24/08) On 3/16/08 my husband picked up my prescription refills. One was for Inderal LA 60mg. I took this from Saturday night thru Friday night. On Friday I realised that the capsules were not the correct color, rechecked everything and took the capsule. On Saurday morning I was still confused and took a capsule to another pharmacy for verification. It was in fact Inderal LA but instead of 60mg it was 160mgs. I then went to Eckerd Pharmacy where they gave me 2 months of the correct dosage and informed me that the the individual who had filled my prescriptions was no longer with the company.
There was no economic damage done and the physical damage is questionable at this time.
What is damaged is my faith in the system, I was given a dosage that was over 2.5 time the required dosage, my husband was out of town for 3 days last week leaving me alone. Side effects -overlayed vision, cold to the point of putting socks on in bed, sweaters when up, sleeping less than 4 hours.
The indiviual is no longer employed there and I want to know how many more people have the wrong drug. They do not call the people whose prescription that this individual filled\refilled to check and see if thiers are correct. My imagination is running wild, how many more like me are out there that do not know they have the wrong prescription. I feel there is something very wrong in that store. Before I left with my correct prescription an employee said to me that maybe I should see an attorney!
That will make your hair stand up!
Joseph of Charlotte NC (07/06/07)
I was treated extremely rudely and the staff were blatantly inconsiderate. They seemed bored as if they had nothing to do, although it took forever to get my sick wife's prescription together. I was not offered an explanation or any type of basic respect. This shouldn't be tolerated. Are they paid to treat people like this?
Tanya of Havelock NC (06/28/07)
The security stickers that are placed on the products hides the directions and the ingredients and when you try to remove it, it takes the words right off the products.
Eugenia of Chapin SC (03/05/07) I chose Eckerd rather than drive to my usual drug store because I felt so ill. After I handed my card and prescription over to the counter person, she mentioned it would be thirty minutes. I almost asked for my presription back, but decided to leave it. I went to my car and sat 40 minutes. When I came back, no one knew anything about my prescription. They finally found it, but it definitely had not been filled. I ended up waiting about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get my prescription and the people weren't very nice. Also, a lady known to the people at the back got in and out in 10 minutes while I was waiting. I guess you have to know someone.
Lillian of Morristown NJ (04/05/06) Last night I noticed the tablets in my bottle were slightly different. I had Metformin 500mg in a bottle of DarvonN-100. Metformi has #'s on bothy side and the Darvon-N 100 has a # only on one side. I took the medication back, did not make a scene, but was not given the courtesy of an apology. They corrected the problem, but seem to indicate this was not the fault of the pharmacy but me. I got the impression they blamed me. I've worked as a nurse for 35 years, I don't make these types of mistakes with my own meds.
There was no physical damange done to me. But my trust in this pharmacy is over. I've taken the pain med & it made me sleepy. When it didn't I just thought my pain was greater. I'm just concerned about my diabetic meds. Thanks for listening. Watch them, watch them well.
Janet of Barrington NJ (11/21/05) I have been using Enbrel (an injectible DMARD) for Rheumatoid Arthritis. My Rheumatologist said that I had to switch to Kineret which is for the same thing but with fewer risks of exacerbation of opportunistic infections. I asked the pharmacist to get this for me (it's from the same co. as Enbrel). He says Eckerd's wholesaler, McKesson)refuses to send it. The staff at Eckerd doesn't care at all.
From having to continue with the Enbrel until I could find where to get Kinneret, I developed serious infections on bottoms of my feet.
Pamela of Maidsville WV (10/27/05) I got my son's prescription filled there on 10-12-05,it was in the evening, he had been seen at a local E.R. for his wisdom teeth, the Dr. ordered 4 tablets of Loratab. His prescription # 3330260 dated 10-12-05, my son's name is Joseph Kazak, the lady mentioned earlier told us, my son was not covered under our MedPlus Pa. Insurance, which I new was crazy, cause we had just left the ER, where they checked my sons insurance for coverage, and it covered the ER 100%. I then paid the woman mentioned earlier the &8.99, plus tax, as we had a taxi waiting for us. I called the pharmacy the next day, to see about reimbursement and the same woman, Sue, tells me you do not accept our insurance, whichI know is Bull. I then proceed to another pharmacy for an RX for my same son, and guess what, they call a my son's insurance co.,as did this Sue of yours, and bingo my son was still 100% covered, and we paid ZERO for that RX. Now, as you can imagine, I am furious, I am living on a fixed income, and I want our money reimbursed.
Karen of Schenectady NY (08/08/05) Son had a serious surgery was released from hospital went to Eckered to have 1/2 of a prescription filed went back 3-4 days later to get the exact 1/2 prescription filed and was given a wrong refill.got deathly sick, took prescription back was told he would not have to pay for it got the right prescription I called Eckered to advise of my son's illness from the wrong medication was told that humans do make mistakes lady was not concerned at all and kept saying humans make mistakes which is true but if they filled a wrong prescription and someone died from it would she have said the same thing. It was the attitude the way it was handled
I made a complaint to management and he asked if this had been reported to Dr., by Eckerd or if higher up people were notified I stated I did not know I don't work for Eckerds. We did report this to the Dr for record, and have received paperwork from some insurance company and have not heard anything since.
Wanda of Elberon VA (05/15/05) On 04/29/05 I dropped a prescription off at Eckerd to have it filled. I intentionally returned four days later to pick up the medication because I have always had a problem with medication being ready within a reasonable time frame at this particular store. I was certain it would be ready so I entered the store at 7:00 PM to pick up the medication and leave in a timely manner to pick up my children after a full day of work and school. I entered the pharmnacy only to find the medication was not ready. I was initially told the script was lost. After the young lady continued to look for the script she said maybe they were out of the medication. I asked if anyone from the store had called to inform me they did not have the medication or if they had even ordered the medication? The young lady could not answer either question. After the script was found, I was told it would be just a few minutes. Well, a few minutes was one hour later with no medication. I was standing right there in the store at the register and witnessed three people receive service at the drive thru while I was standing in the store. I left without the medication because I had given Eckerd more than enough time to provide a service in a timely manner. I have been a customer of Eckerd for the past 17 years for prescriptions for myself and my family and the service has gotten increasingly worse. I live 20 miles from the nearest Eckerd and the wait over the years at times with sick children have been to numerous to count and the latest incident made me realize that Eckerd, for whatever reason does not value my business so I intend to take my business elsewhere.
Dot of White GA (01/14/05) On 1/14/05 our Dr. phoned in script for husband due to excessive vomiting. I called at 1:30 p.m. to ask if they'd rec'd call and was told yes, it'll be about 15 min, but remember we're closed for lunch from 2:00-2:30 I asked since when..I've heard nothing about it..seen nothing in local paper. About 1=1/2 mos. I was in there to pickup my monthly scripts 2 wks ago and it wasn't mentioned. She said if you can be here by 1:55, we can ring you out, otherwise sometime after 2:30. I got there at 1:45, checked front door for hours (nothing about lunch closure). Checked posted pharmacy hrs. next to register (nothing about lunch closure). I mentioned that to clerk and she said pharmacist works 12 hrs and needs time to eat I said You have more than one pharmacist. I overheard drive-thru customers being told about lunch closure and told that their scripts would not be ready until after 3:00. Something's wrong here...they want my business, they need to be open. I'm seriously considering moving all my scripts.
It caused my blood pressure to rise. I had to leave husband home alone while I drove those 15 miles and if I'd been held up by an accident, etc., I might not have gotten there by 1:55, and then would have had to wait at least 30 min., probably more.
John of North East MD (01/06/05) I left work early to visit the docter about a sinus infection. I droped off my prescription at your store about 4:00 PM. My wife and I had a appointment to keep when we stopped back to get my prescription around 6:00 PM. When I went in to pick up there was one person at the pharmacy ahead of me. I stepped up and asked about it and was told it is ready but the pharmacist had to check it first. While I was talking to the cashier 3 more people showed up and the pharmacist started waiting on everyone that came in. So my complaint is I CAME IN AND DROPED MY PRESCRIPTION OFF 2 HOURS AHEAD OF TIME SO IT WOULD BE READY. IT WAS READY WHEN I GOT THERE BUT YOUR PHARMACIST DECIDED TO WAIT ON A TOTAL OF 5 PEOPLE THAT CAME IN AFTER ME SO I WAITED 25 MINUTES FOR A ORDER THAT WAS ALREADY DONE WHILE MY FAMILY WAITED OUT IN THE CAR. I thought it was the courteous thing to do to exercise first come ,first serve. I took the treatment I got as a outright insult.
The only damage done was the waiting my family and I had to do for a order that was ready. As I said, I believe your pharmacist purposly ignorned my order. I plan to get my future prescriptions from Happy Harrys
Jonathan of Tallahassee FL (08/07/04) My son was in Shands Childrens Hospital clinging to life, in fact the Doctors had told us he had days if not hours. They were desparately trying to enable him to come home to die. I live and work in Tallahassee, which is 2.5 hours from Shands. On 13 Febuary 2004, I got a call from the Front End Suprtelling me I needed to be in the store on the 14th, they needed double coverage, I needed to make a choice of being at work or being at the bedside of my dying thirteen year old son. The choice was easy, except I was reminded that I need insurance and with my wife at the Hospital, we needed income. I returned to Tallahassee and the store the next day, very angry, but I was there, the acting managerleft immediately as she had a date for Valentine. My son, Jonathan, passed away the next week, 02/22/04. Of course I spoke out about the crappy people I work for, 18 stores in Tallahassee and yet they couldn't look for a single person to cover the last few days of my childs life.
So if you wonder why the customer service is sometimes poor, and the company was sold off. Its no wonder, with People with no heart, bad priorities. I hope this was an isolated incident of crappy people skills, but it will NEVER replace my stolen time with my Jonathan.
Kelli of Pittsburgh PA (08/07/04) My son who is 13, has a condition called Eagles Barrett Syndrome and has been on medication all his life, because of this condition he will be having a double kidney transplant very soon. Last October his Renal Doctor started him on a new medication called cozzaar, the prescription was called in by the doctors nurse, so never before seeing this medication and the nurse telling me about the possible side effects, I gave it to him for 29 days (pretty much a whole month). After about a week my son started complaining about chest pains, not being able to catch his breath, and a very sharp pain, like a knife going through his head, being that I had never seen this medication before and being told the side effects I figured this was just a reaction and eventually it would go away after he got used to it, after all I trusted my pharmacist as much as the doctor! The day after Thanksgiving, I called the phamacy for his refill when my husband got home with it, he told me to look at it, it did'nt even resemble the first presciption! I called the pharmacist thinking that it might be a generic form of cozzarr only to be told that there is no generic form of it!! It turned out that what they gave him the month before was something called coreg! I called the Renal doctor on call at Childrens hospital to see what the effects there could be for my son with his condition and all, well it turns out that I was told that coreg is not for anyone under the age of 18 nor had it ever been tested on anyone under 18!(Apparently it has now!!) They sent us for so much blood work and testing to check possible side effects, kidney damage, liver damage, etc..Thank God it all came out ok, they said he was very lucky, there was no damage that they could see.
Marcella of Corsicana TX (08/03/04) I made the mistake of pointing out that she dispenced the wrong amount and questioned her about it. The next minute she is telling she has trouble with me every month. So, I think if she makes a mistake she will label you a drama queen. I would like to see Eckerds investigated by the FBI or the CIA and anyone else. I think they are crooks and need to be some house cleaning at the top!!!
Eckerds gets to charge more for a 30 day refill if they only do a 25 day prescrition. More money in Eckerds pockets.
M. of Winston Salem NC (06/07/04) A prescription was filled by Eckerds and upon arriving at home I found it was in capsule form which I am unable to take since I had surgery. I was told by the pharmacy personnel that I could not return it since it had left the store. The prescription was in foil packets and unopened by myself. I then called the regional office and spoke to the Regional Representative about the problem we had experienced and he said it was their policy not to accept a prescription back after it left the store but in this case he would contact the store and OK the return of this prescription, he then called me back to tell me that the particular prescription did not come in any other form but I could still return it and have it applied to another prescription I had. We then went to the store and was told that it could not be returned and no credit could be given me for this prescription, we told them that we had spoken with the Regional Representative Roy B at (336) 712-1323. The personnel at the store were told a different story from Mr. Beck, who back tracked his statement with me on the telephone and said that this could only be applied to a new prescription from my doctor for the same type of RX. If it is OK to get credit for one RX why not the other? We have used Eckerds for all of our family drugs but since switching to the #1023 Thruway Shopping Center Store we have had so many problems with wrong Rx's and different stories from different Pharmacies. This was the last straw we are pulling all our records and going to another drug store for all our Rx's.
Stephanie of Ardsley NY (04/19/04) I was given a prescription from the son's pediatrician for 60 grams of elidel cream. After my husband went to pick up the prescription, I noticed that we only received a 30 gram tube with a refill prescription for another 30 grams. Immediately I called Eckerd and the pharmacist there abruptly stated that 60 gram tubes no longer exist so they gave the next smaller size. My copay for this drug is $50, and I was angry that no one bothered to call me before the prescription was filled to inform me of this. Nor did anyone inform my husband at the time of pickup that we were only getting half the prescription.
That night I decided to check with my insurance company on drug dispensing policies. They said that 60 gram tubes do exist, and if the pharmacy does not carry the 60 gram size then they need to fill the prescription as ordered by the doctor, by combining two tubes. I also stopped by a CVS pharmacy to see if they carried 60 gram tubes. Low and behold, there were plenty stocked on the shelves.
At this point I am thouroughly aggravated with Eckerd pharmacy for not filling my prescription as ordered and for failing to inform me of any problem with filling it. Had they called me or told my husband before he paid for the prescription, we would have had the option of taking the prescription to CVS. I also would have had the option of getting a different prescription from the doctor, for a 100g tube, which my copay covers and is a size that Eckerd happens to carry.
The supervising pharmacist, Sima, was the third and equally unhelpful person I spoke to about my half-filled prescription. I feel the service at this pharmacy is seriously lacking, and I still feel compelled to stand by my principles and somehow correct this situation.
Colleen of Newark DE (03/26/04) I dropped off my prescriptions at the pharmacy in Eckards and was told to pick them up in 2 hours. 4 hours later, I went back to pick up my prescriptions. The pharmacy was still very busy and I waited for them to finish up my order. I had prescriptions for cough medicine w/ codeine, Darvacet, an antibiotic and Guaifensin for congestion. The pharmacy filled my decongestant medication container with more Darvacet (so I had 2 prescriptions containing Darvacet and no decongestant). Luckily, I noticed the difference and returned the next day, which was just as busy as the day before. My complaints:
1.) Not paying attention to the filling of prescriptions, which could be the cause of a deadly mistake.
2.) Dispensing a narcotic in place of a decongestant.
3.) Obvious under-staffing and not enough qualified personnel.
4.) Total and complete lack of organization and process. All 4 or 5 people behind the couter were, literally, running in circles and bumping into each other.
I have noticed this same situation in a close neighboring Eckards less than 5 miles away. Something needs to be done before a casualty takes place. What if the narcotic was given to a child or an elderly person.
Frank of Hillsborough NC (02/09/04) A brand NEW store NOT ADA compliant. I am disabled. The drive thru 'pick up window' has a box that does NOT telescope like the banks do. This makes it impossible for me to pick up my meds. They will not assist me in any way.
Charles of Palm Bay FL (01/08/04) Yesterday I dropped off prescriptions and had to wait 3 hours to pick them up. Today my wife dropped off pres. and was told it would be 3 - 3 1/2 hrs before they would be ready, and 1 pres. had to be ordered and wouldn't be in until after 6 p.m. tomorrow. WHY!!!
Six weeks ago the same thing happened. I had to wait 2 1/2 hrs and one had to be ordered. WHY!!!
Cindy of Getzville NY (01/05/04) I was charged a minimum prescription fee of $8.99 for an amoxicillan prescription which, without the minimum fee would have cost around $5. I called my local Rite Aid and they charge the same minimum fee.
I had to pay a $7 copay which is more than the drug cost. I am not sure if my insurance paid the $1.99 difference that they would have been billed.
Linda of Edgewater FL (01/03/04) Pharmacy dispensed Toprol, 100 mg., in error, my prescription was written for Zoloft- 100mg. I noticed the error when I opened the bottle to take a pill. I immediately called the pharmacy, went back and got the right one. Pharmacist offered to give me my co-pay back or credit me to make it right. I refused.
This could have had bad results as I am on, 600mg Ibuprophen, 100mg.Zoloft, 20mg Aciphex, 1.0mg Lorazepam, 0.5mg tenormin, and 12.5mg Meclizine. I am a cancer patient, have acid reflux, prolapsed mitral valve, depression and anxiety, oteoporosis and Rheumatoid arthritis. If I had never had Zoloft, I never would have questioned this.
Denise of Allen TX (11/27/03) I was given wrong medicine. The label was correct so I took one pill. I started feeling sick and my husband wondered if I was taking wrong medine so he pulled up drugs.com and did a pill identifier and found I was given wrong medicine. I took it back and was given a new prescription. But I think my new one is wrong too. I talk to my attorney about this and was advised to contact Eckerd Drugs first to see you will settle out of court.
I was supposed to recieve a muscle relaxer but instead I was given Diovan which is some king of diuretic water pill. I took one pill and have been sick feeling for 2 days so far. Diareah, Naseau, can't sleep. And I was told by the pharmasist yesterday not to take my muscle relaxer until these symptoms went away. They have not and I am still having pain from my muscle spasms.
Janice of Creedmoor NC (11/12/03) I recently moved to Creedmoor, NC. I have been getting a certain prescription filled at the Eckerds in Lewisville,NC for several years. The cost of the prescription has always been $10.49 for a 30 day supply. After moving to Creedmoor, I took my prescription to the Eckerds in Creedmoor,NC and they charged me $25.69 for a 30 day supply of the same medicine. When I got home I called the store and questioned the cost and the pharmacist told me they had overcharged me and told me to come back for a refund. The next month when I had the same precription refilled they tried to overcharge me again but I argued the price. A different pharmacist told me that there were 2 distributors for the medicine and that they had given me the $25.69 brand. He then took my medicine to the back, brought it back to me, poured it out and ask if that was what I had been taking. Please remember that they appeared to be the same as what he had taken to the back. He then told me that he was going to adjust my bill to $10.49, make a note on the computor that I was to get medicine from the cheaper distributor and that they would sell the higher priced medicine to someone that had insurance. My Dr. advised that I report this because there should not be that high of a discrepancy in the price of the same medicine and because he says it was very unethical for the pharmacist to tell me that they would hit insured customers up for the higher priced medicine. Wouldn't this be some type of insurance fraud by the drugstore?
Theresa of Utica NY (11/02/03) I do not think it is right to let ASSISTANTS work in the pharmacy department. After taking my Zocor a few times I realized my medication was for a lesser dosage than I was supposed to take. It was an assistant that filled the prescription although a Pharmacist is supposed to double check it. That just does not happen all the time when they are too busy. I don't think anyone but a Pharmacist should fill prescriptions. They are very lucky nothing happened this time!!
Donna of Abilene TX (07/20/03) I called in a refill for cholesterol medicine on Sunday July 13 and went to pick it up ther next day and was told they were out of that medicine and they had ordered some for me to come the next day. I went up there the next day and it wasn't in yet. I was asked my phone number and they said they would call me when it came in. I never heard from anyone so I called today (July 20) and was told it still hadn't come in. I called another pharmacy to see if they had it and they did. I decided to call another Eckerd pharmacy to see if they had it and they did too. I thought maybe they were having problems getting that one certain pill ordered. They could have at least sent me to the other store but that option wasn't even offered. Last month I went for my blood pressure medicine and was told they were out. I didn't get those for two days. These are medicines I get every month and I always call it in two or three days ahead so I won't have to wait. I am changing stores after this.
James of Rockingham NC (07/14/03) On July 2, 2003, I had two prescriptions filled, one was for Levo Thyroid 50 mg and one was for Furosemide 20 mg. A couple of days after we had them filled, it was time for me to put the new pills into my pill box, and at that time, I realized that they had given me my fluid pill (Furosemide) in both bottles instead of giving me my thyroid medicine in the appropriate bottle. I immediately called the druggist and they offered to fix it, and the person I spoke with said it should have never happened. If you desire to speak with anyone, please call me at my home number and speak with my wife, Linda, as I am sick and not able to handle these type matters very well.
There were no damages suffered from this. However, thank goodness it was a pill that I was use to taking and recognized that it was incorrect. I am a heart patient and it could have been a bad situation. Please have the pharmacy follow better guidelines so that it doesn't happen to someone else and have a fatal result. Thank you!!
Wanda of Dallas TX (06/08/03) My husband is an Eckerds employee who was recently hurt at work. We took his percription for pain meds to the nearest Eckerds for filling. However after 9 hours they were unable to find out who the carrier was, so my husband remained in pain another day for nothing.
I can't understand how he is an Eckerd employee, we took the percsription to an Eckerds to have it filled, but am Eckerd had no idea who the workmans comp advisor was.
Pain and frustration on our part.
D. of Acworth GA (02/24/03) My daughter's Peditrician called in 2 prescriptions for her. I sent her father to Eckerds to pick them up. He waited for 2 hours to even be able to tell them our child's name due to so many customers waiting to pick up prescriptions. Everyone there was very angry at the poor service they were receiving. When he finally got to tell them our daughter's name, they did not have it ready. When they said it was ready, they filled an old presription that they pulled out of the computer. They then claimed that the prescription was not called in. I called the Doctor and confirmed the prescription was called in and the exact time it was called in. By this point, the drug store was closing and they would not get my daughter's prescription ready. She was very sick and needed the prescription and had to do without her medicine.
My daughter was very sick with a sinus infection. She was blacking out during the night and needed the medicine. Pharmacy's need to be held responsible for their incompetence. If I had not called her father to ask questions at the time they gave him the wrong presription, she could have taken the wrong medication.
Candice of Riverview FL (09/27/02) Dear Consumers, over the past year, my local Eckerd Drug Store has filled my monthly perscription accureately 2 times over 12 months. I take Toprol, a blood pressure medication, the same dose, and same amount every month. The troubles began with long lines at the pharmacy with employees ignoring customers, conducting personal business, and speaking inapropriately about complaints in the presence of customers. My perscription should take a few hours to fill, but often it is days. I adapted my visits to Eckerd by coming during non-peak hours to conduct my business. Sadly, the customer service was still poor. My perscription has been lost and filled inacurately several times. Per a suggestion of the pharmacy, I attempted to call in my perscription using a touch tone service. Again, adjusting my needs to better suite the company. And again, they would get my perscription wrong. Wrong dose, wrong amount and sometimes even the wrong drug. During my long waits in line, I have witnessed on 2 occasions other customers being given the wrong medication and even an empty perscription bag. I work as a Paramedic in an Emergency room and I always double check my medication before I leave Eckerd. Due to my health insurance, I must continue to utilize this company. My concern is for the elderly, and people outside of health care that may be unable to check their medications for errors. Who will be the advocate for those patients. In a continual effort to solve my problems with Eckerd, I have complained to the store manager, Pharmacy manager, regional and district manager. Eckerd's response was to send me a $25.00 gift certificate to the store. Is this to compensate my time? My gas? Or the assistance that I have offered to other customers checking the accuracy of thier own perscription fills.
Let's have some accountability.
Cheri of Tallahassee FL (04/22/02) I took a prescription to be filled for Monopril 40 mg, #30. I was charged $32.11. Last month, Walmart charged $20.00 as per my insurance plan. I am insured by Empire BC/BS. I questioned the clerk about this. She turned away for about 30 seconds then told me that copays have gone up. Mine has not, I checked that today.
I have been cheated out of $12.11. And now I have to make another visit to the doctor, pay the cost of that, lose time at work and find another pharmacy less convient to my residence.
Nancy of Anna Maria FL (04/04/02) I take several medications all the time, that are not to be discontinued suddenly.
I am also on Medicaid share of cost.
At the time I needed refills, the pharmacy filled them but when I went to pick them up, found I was not in the computer yet for full medicaid for that month (March). I returned a couple of days later to see if medicaid had me in the computer yet, and the pharmacist (Vicki)checked. ..I wasn't. I told her I would return the next day because Medicaid told me I was covered.
Without telling me, the pharmacist proceeded to put all my refills back in stock as soon as I left the counter.
This meant that to refill the refills again, they would be dated April instead of March and not covered by Medicaid yet. It left me without these vital meds (I am also a cancer patient) for over a week and now going into the second week because I cannot afford to pay for them.
This meant that I was already a week without my medications, and now if they refilled the refills again, they would b e dated April, and not covered with my March medicaid. The emotional frustration is enormous and as I am still without the meds because I cannot pay for them, I don't yet know the physical damage. My rare cancer causes malignant hypertension, much depression.
My Medications are: Paxil, Wellbutrin SR, Diovan HCT, and Synthroid.
John of Altoona PA (10/02/01) on 9/25 I turned in a script for interferon 1300 therapy kit. on 9/28 iwas told the kits were short in demand by bio tech.she told me she would search different stores for the product &availability. as of 10/01 at 4pm.,no luck. so i got the script back& went to cvs at station mall altoona. the clerk told me she had one in the frig. from the way i understand she had it from 9/28 untill 10/01,she sold it at 12 noon but could get me one the next day. if the clerk at eckerd did her homework she wouldve known cvs had one & they have no shortage.
i now have a lapse in treatment. i have been on this therapy for 4 months. leangth of treatment is 1 year. now i have to start from the begining& IM NOT VERY HAPPY!!!!. i think displinary action should be taken of those involved. iwould like a phone call about the results. thank you, john hebler
Jacqueline of Crawfordville FL (06/29/01) I would just like to submit my reason I now will not have my prescriptions filled at Eckerds.
1. I have filled my prescriptions at Eckerds (the one in Crawfordville) for over 2 years. One prescription I receive every month.
2. I have had Capital Health Plan during the entire time I have filled these prescriptions at Eckerds.
3. Because the store could not access online to the Insurance Company they told me I had to pay full price for my prescription and then get reimbursed. I have a $7.00 co-pay.
I really feel first of all that your employees should be trained in how to address the customer when they have problems. Second I feel since I HAD been a customer for so long with the same insurance company they should have noted that. Lastly I did not feel they care about their customers and their feelings at all.
I didn't get my prescription (which I had called in just an hour and a half before, they could have told me the computer was down) since I wouldn't just pay the full price. Went to another pharmacy to get my prescriptions filled.
