I took Lybrel for 3 months. I went from a carefree & loving individual to a hormonal emotional wreck in 3 short months. The side effects I had: headaches, spotting everyday the entire 3 months, moodiness,dizziness or lightheadedness, depression, weight gain,nausua no energy,always tired, no sex drive, skin rash, breast tenderness, joint pain, hair falling out. I read the package insert and saw that it said some people experience some side effects. I had taken b/c in the past so I was ready for the weight gain, breast tenderness but, not all of the above.
This medicine made my life and the lives of those around me unbearable. I have read that it works well for those with endometriosis (spelling) and a few others. Sadly the only thing this pill did for me is make it so no one wanted to be around me. Who could blame them?
